Featured on the hit TV show American Pickers, Dale bought this car from Mike and Frank after they found it at the Pioneer Auto Museum in South Dakota and brought it to Dale to get it running. It's by far one of the most asked about vehicles in the collection!
    Dale's Wheels Through Time Museum, located in Maggie Valley, NC, features over 375 American motorcycles, unique cars, and transportation history.

    It is so spectacular that all the documentation came together to be preserved. Remember the show when Mike and Frank found this. Also remember the look on your fathers face when they first showed it to him. Priceless. 😂 Glad you guys at Wheels through Time have this one of a kind vehicle. Excellent vids here. Info is clear and easy to follow.

    Ever since I was a young man, I have wanted to build a car like this. I still do. My plan was to use a Honda Goldwing engine. I'm too old and poor to do it now. But even dreams can be wonderful.

      I have/had the same dream. I wanted to use two 200hp engines originally, now I suppose it would be two 250hp bike engines in a chassis that all weighs 1200lbs ish, but I have a motorcycle and times are hard, maybe someday

      Check the auction areas for a wrecked bike. You can probably find one for fairly cheap if you go to a region where salvage bikes are not allowed on the road.
      Maybe a few hundred dollars, if you are lucky.
      Film everything and post it on TH-cam, you may actually make money doing it

    Just like the Cooper 500s that were built from '46 to '60, but with Vee twin 500cc ( 40ci ) engines over here in the UK. If you want to see them racing, checkout the Goodwood channel on YT, revival meetings, they have some big fields of them. Great racing. Great car with an Indian engine.

    • @adriancole3165
      @adriancole3165 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Exactly my thoughts. Whether or not the builder got their inspiration from the likes of Cooper, Kieft etc not sure, but the car looks a bit like a scaled up version; bigger engine, heavier car, plus mudguards and headlights. Nowhere near as sophisticated as the British equivalents, but a wonderful example of ingenuity in construction.
