It's like they picked up this demo for Living Things and said "We've got this great demo that we could release as it is but it just sounds too creative and too much like A Thousand Suns, let's make it a terrible, boring, pop-structure song!" They obviously failed on that, I'll be gone is neither terrible nor boring but this demo is just so much better
