The Beginning of the Church: Engaging with the Culture Around Us

Acts 17
Paul and Silas proclaim the Gospel in a hostile place.
The Bereans were people of noble character.
Paul engages a confused culture.
Paul used their confusion about a God they didn't know but created an idol for.
Following Paul's example, we must follow the same logic when engaging lost people:
All people have an inherent desire to know God.
When you testify use what you know.
If there is only one God, then all of our other idols are false.
God loves us.
Since Jesus is truth, we must respond.
People need Jesus now!
Main Point: Engaging with a confused culture requires men and women of noble character to proclaim Christ.
