Hiwassee Solo Towee Creek to Big Bend 7.18.24

I tried walking shuttle from Towee, down to Big Bend today. Most people, when they do "walking shuttle" will go from Towee to the Needle / Tables.
I added the 2/10ths of a mile, and paddled down past 3' drop to Big Bend... It honestly didn't really "add" that much, except for a lot more work getting out of the river (compared to getting out at the tables).
Taking out at Big Bend isn’t that bad really, but the ferry to get to it is a pain in the rear, and forces you to abandon 3’ drop (and all its fun surf waves), just to get across river - so it more or less defeats the purpose of adding that (walking) distance.
The above said - I really missed my waves at Little Rock Island …. For anyone that has seen my past vids, you most definitely know that spot. My favorite place on the river I believe.
I say that… I am starting to really appreciate the waves after Devil’s Shoals, right before the main take out … so, I missed those too. And of course, I missed 3 chutes also.
Shoulda paddled the river today. Oh well - I may catch it tomorrow.
Since I am still rambling on here - for anyone that actually reads this stuff … do me a big favor and “like” (if you do) … it would help me quite a bit with TH-cam … and do please leave more comments / critiques … I started posting these really just for me & Carie, but enough folks are watching that it may turn out to be a neat thing, so that got us to wondering - what do my few subscribers WANT to see more of? And … would it be useful
