I can’t see myself giving up my 6K for an fx30. I tried one out and I really like it but ended up buying a Sony A7iv instead for full frame and better photography features. The black magic 6K is the best cinema camera in that price range. However I am a cinematographer and I want to do more scripted type stuff with it as well as high end commercial work.
My 6K Pro is going nowhere. The 5 inch tilting monitor and menu system can not be understated. Yes it's a big boy and I am looking to get an FX30 for Gimbal work. I just HATE Sony menus - must be worst in the industry.
Totally ! Changing some very simple settings can be a total pain in the ***. The 6k pro is a really good workhorse if you have the environement for it. It's simple, straight to the point with internal ND's. FX30 might be appealing but not for everyone. 😄
Held an fx30 at BestBuy yesterday and it was pretty compelling. My 6k is freaking huge. Of course the general public thinks im wes anderson when I bust the rig out😂. I do have a Canon with 6k and it is so much easier to get 99% of what I do. Have fun man.
@@jordanvpIm in Art of Documentary right now and seeing the work accomplished on Sony is compelling and they are supporting creators so heavily its a good move. I needed Canon for stills or I would do the same. Ill be watching your journey because Im a backcountry SAR filmmaker and a smaller rig would really freaking help😂. Cheers.
That’s awesome! Yeah I’m stoked about Sony and how easy they make it and still offer pro specs, should be much more enjoyable to create with the FX30 for sure.
