Every cover you've done by Nick Drake is my most favourite cover of him. Your voice is so much like his, but has more a youthful spring to it than he did - suppose it was his depression. Either way, don't go a week without listening to these, hats off to ya.
It’s not about ‘taking his place’, it’s about paying homage and keeping the music alive by playing it live. The original material can never be bettered but great covers by fans only serve to compliment the work and I’m confident that ND would’ve approved ..

@@rightturnonly6621 I probably tuned it down half a step to make it more bearable for me to sing. Not sure anymore. But the above tunings are the originals, minus the capo. I would always start there and adjust to your liking.
@@tobiaswildenmusic I tune CGCFCE plus second fret capo but it sounds diferent like Yours tune or Nick Drakes tune, it sounds lower in tone, don´t understand why.

The key thing with your interpretations is that you understand the actual core of the songs, not just the music. It shows! All the best and good luck with future songwriting!

Nick is such a difficult artist to cover because much of the beauty of his songs are conveyed in his uniquely soft voice & phrasing. This is beautiful, nailed it!

I use a Zoom H2 recorder and run it through Garageband on a Macbook. For this cover I edited only treble and volume. For the videos I process the recordings as mp3.
