Yes it does, the metal ring has a hole that is somewhat bulged. It fits into the corresponding whole in the handlebar. That keeps the throttle firmly in place.

If you put them upside down, with the Daytona Logo facing down, it looks even more aesthetic and somewhat more radical, that's how I have it.
