@@KeepItDirtyOffRoad a dream build for sure. If I lived somewhere close to a lot of desert like you guys, I think I know where my whole paycheck would go to. 😂
It's a bit of a stretch to call it a Raptor R killer when it's in an entirely different universe than a (still very cool) factory stock truck. And I'm guessing at 3x the price. So sick!
They are currently in Temecula. And he did stop for a while this past year thanks to an awful partner that drove the business into the ground. Luckily that POS a is gone and it’s just Kevin now doing some of the best designs in the business
HM suspension kits are for all Raptors and F150s. Since the shock bucket is completely replaced and the whole area is reinforced, they kit can fit any late model ford truck as the front frame geometry without the shock buckets is the same.
Love the build just hate when ppl take a F150 build it then steal the Raptor looks. If u want a “ superior F150 with a 5.0 then be proud of that. Don’t try to pretend it’s a Raptor by making it look like one. Again not saying the build isn’t badass, it’s second to none
They don’t make an F150 styled fold out fiberglass hood. No one would buy it 🤷♂️. And let’s be honest here man. This is far superior than a raptor. Does not matter if the base is an f150 or not. This truck is on a whole other level and the styling don’t matter
There is no denying this is better than a Raptor or Raptor R… TRX …. Hell a TRX Redeye ( if they make it lol) my point was it always seems ppl want to copy the looks then call it a Raptor killer ( in this case rightfully so)
SVC linked kit still has its place man. Specially if you don’t want a caged truck. But the HM kit is something else man. More travel up front in 2wd, the reinforcement they do is next level (no other shop does this much), and it’s race proven design.
Idk if they do but the only way I could buy a prerunner is if they made long travel that had valving that didn't sound like a crackhead on a typewriter.
I grew up in sand cars let’s be honest it don’t take that long to buckle up if you know how to get out of them. You gotta loosen em up first then pop the buckle off. Then it’s easy to strap in when you get back in if. I used to do it while driving/leaving the hill. Takes a minute
If you have experience with them sure. I saw Eddie and Kevin here strap up quick. But the rest of us new to harnesses we would take what felt like a lifetime.
Cage is required for the rear suspension. Can’t do that much travel without a cage. But he was a version of the front kit for non caged trucks prices similar to your typical bolt kit / mid travel kit. That’s the 92 and 94 kit he was talking about
So your truck built the way it is really wouldnt be able to take that terrain at least at half the speed the HM truck was going? Or is it because your suspension isnt tuned for that currently?
My truck can take on whoops that are about 1-1.5 ft deep. With tuning I may be able to go a little deeper but not much. At Barstow you have whoops that are 2-3 ft deep and you need race truck suspension to handle those fast. I don’t have enough suspension travel and my back is bucking way too much to handle those.
HM will be getting he site up soon. But he’s a small shop. His contact info is below if you want a quote, and soon we will be helping him sell and quote these kits.
Frame, Windshields and AC. Trophy trucks are usually a full custom tube chassis with no windows and no comfort features. Body is all fiberglass too A prerunner is based on a frame truck and cab. Most of the frame is removed and or reinforced and you keep comfort features like AC, stereo, windshield, etc…. So it’s the more drivable truck. Trophy truck has to be trailered everywhere while a prerunner can be driven around the streets
Kit cost about the same as an SVC and RPG kit at $17,700 plus installation. And you get a true long travel kit, with longer shocks that perform so much better.
@@KeepItDirtyOffRoad thanks for the quick reply and sharing what you are able to provide! I recently converted my 2011 ram 2500 to a full Thuren off road suspension set up and it was night and day different than stock. Since then I sold that truck and bought a gen 2 raptor which I do love. It is great to see how you transform these trucks! Great work.
Yeah man. Back and without the old partner. Just Kevin and a great kid that’s helping him and he’s improving on his kits to make them the very best kit on the market for F150s and Raptors
@@KeepItDirtyOffRoad yeah man I know, after seeing the juggernaut and other f150s blasting through whoops I knew what kit I wanted , but yeah I’m glad they’re back I’m business, I know where my money is going
Anything more than a 1 point lap belt gives you a false sense of security. You may think you can run faster than the capabilities of the truck and if and when you get in trouble, the stock roof cannot handle a roll over. With conventional seats belts or a lap belt, if you roll you can move out of the way and stay safe. With a 5 point harness your strapped in and your dead the moment the roof collapses and you cannot get out of the way. There is no cage to keep the roof from collapsing on you and killing your.
It’s a custom exhaust that dumps out under the cab plus the tube and supercharger. It sounds even better in person. Contact Kevin for more details and he can hook you up.
@@KeepItDirtyOffRoad I have headers and true duel exhaust 3in all the way out with two outlaws. Is there a certain muffler on that and is it just a single exit?
🤣🤣 those are the shocks. Bypass race shocks click and clack like that. The sound is the bypass valves doing their job and a noise you will always hear offroad. The noise is made worse by the cage. Those shocks are connected to the cage and that cage tuning resonated the sound in the cab. If you do a non caged truck with his long travel kits you get similar performance with not as much sound in the cab. You can hear some of it yeah, but not as much.
Kit price is about the same as an SVC mid travel kit. Just a little bit more because of the shock bucket is completely replaced. Contact Kevin for a quote. His contact details are in the description
This truck is a few levels up from SVC. SVC kits are nuts mid travel kits. Everything HM a makes is long travel and the amount of reinforcement he does is leaps and bounds more and better than anyone else in the Raptor game

Dude, All I could think of afterwards how to make it happen. The built if a work of art on a whole other level
If this thing had a transfer case it would be perfect!
4wd at those speeds is more that twice the cost
It's a bit of a stretch to call it a Raptor R killer when it's in an entirely different universe than a (still very cool) factory stock truck. And I'm guessing at 3x the price. So sick!
Sorry man. It’s a little bit of click bait because of the timing of the video. But for my money, I would rather build this than the Raptor R anyway.
@@KeepItDirtyOffRoad No worries, I commented for the algo anyway! More views of this beast is a great thing.
Thanks man. Much appreciated 🙏🙏
I remember when these guys started in Ramona then moved to San Marcos... I thought they were out of biz(HM)?!
They are currently in Temecula. And he did stop for a while this past year thanks to an awful partner that drove the business into the ground. Luckily that POS a is gone and it’s just Kevin now doing some of the best designs in the business
Will your products support the 1st gen,?
HM suspension kits are for all Raptors and F150s. Since the shock bucket is completely replaced and the whole area is reinforced, they kit can fit any late model ford truck as the front frame geometry without the shock buckets is the same.
Excellent
I have owned my 5.4 raptor for 9 years. Im thinking of upgrading to a roush raptor. Or should I swap a coyote or a 6.2 in my truck ?
That’s a tough one man. Coyote is by far the best option because of the aftermarket for it. But raptors are hard to pass up yoo
Hell a TRX Redeye ( if they make it lol) my point was it always seems ppl want to copy the looks then call it a Raptor killer ( in this case rightfully so)
Was planning to go full SVC 4link with front mid travel kit but now…
SVC linked kit still has its place man. Specially if you don’t want a caged truck.
But the HM kit is something else man. More travel up front in 2wd, the reinforcement they do is next level (no other shop does this much), and it’s race proven design.
BADASS!!! Enough said
It really is!!
Idk if they do but the only way I could buy a prerunner is if they made long travel that had valving that didn't sound like a crackhead on a typewriter.
🤣🤣🤣 no such thing. Bypass shocks just make noise by design. Some more than others. But they all noisy.
I grew up in sand cars let’s be honest it don’t take that long to buckle up if you know how to get out of them. You gotta loosen em up first then pop the buckle off. Then it’s easy to strap in when you get back in if. I used to do it while driving/leaving the hill. Takes a minute
And not the metaphorical “minute” for a long time but an actual minute
If you have experience with them sure. I saw Eddie and Kevin here strap up quick. But the rest of us new to harnesses we would take what felt like a lifetime.
Quick question. If one wanted just the suspension, can you get that without getting the cage or the V8?
Hi, I just want to know where I could buy one, I’ve searched for their website incessantly, but it doesn’t come up
HM will be getting he site up soon. But he’s a small shop. His contact info is below if you want a quote, and soon we will be helping him sell and quote these kits.
The Only Ford I’d Buy & a GT, but it is a Full Body Race Truck
🤣🤣
What’s the difference between a pre runner and a trophy truck
Frame, Windshields and AC.
Trophy trucks are usually a full custom tube chassis with no windows and no comfort features. Body is all fiberglass too
A prerunner is based on a frame truck and cab. Most of the frame is removed and or reinforced and you keep comfort features like AC, stereo, windshield, etc…. So it’s the more drivable truck. Trophy truck has to be trailered everywhere while a prerunner can be driven around the streets
awesome video
Thanks man
25:05 😂😂😂.
He’s too funny
🤣🤣 he’s a little smart Ass
How much is a kit to convert a raptor gen 2?
Kit cost about the same as an SVC and RPG kit at $17,700 plus installation. And you get a true long travel kit, with longer shocks that perform so much better.
@@KeepItDirtyOffRoad thanks for the quick reply and sharing what you are able to provide! I recently converted my 2011 ram 2500 to a full Thuren off road suspension set up and it was night and day different than stock. Since then I sold that truck and bought a gen 2 raptor which I do love. It is great to see how you transform these trucks! Great work.
So H&M is back and running? I’ve been wanting a kit from them for my 10th gen so bad
Make sure you get a hold of them quick man. He’s going to be getting busy quick
Man. I need a new job. This thing is too rad.
We just need to win the lottery to get something like this.
what is the reason a 5 point harness on something without a cage dangerous?
Anything more than a 1 point lap belt gives you a false sense of security. You may think you can run faster than the capabilities of the truck and if and when you get in trouble, the stock roof cannot handle a roll over.
With conventional seats belts or a lap belt, if you roll you can move out of the way and stay safe. With a 5 point harness your strapped in and your dead the moment the roof collapses and you cannot get out of the way. There is no cage to keep the roof from collapsing on you and killing your.
@@KeepItDirtyOffRoad thank you for the info
Who makes the shifter for when in manual mode?
Not sure. This is something custom they made for this truck. I’ll ask Kevin and get back to you.
How much does it go for? Interested
We went over pricing in the video. It’s not cheap but way less than you think considering the performance
@@KeepItDirtyOffRoad missed that then! my bad, will rewatch 😜
Feel prerunners are 2wds make me like my 2wd f150 so much better going over train tracks feeling like I'm doing something!
🤣🤣 just put some 40s on it and it will be the same
2 wheels drive?
Yep.
Same place I do Army Training
Yeah, very close to a few military bases out there
@@KeepItDirtyOffRoad Go to FT Hunter Liggett they have some nice trails up in the mountains in there back 40 that’s another base I train at
If they are on the base, no way we can access them. At least not legally
@@KeepItDirtyOffRoad the back 40 anyone can access
Ah ok. Different fort. I was thinking Ft Irwin near Barstow
Where can you buy this Ford truck?
Contact Kevin at HM to have him build you one. Contact info in the description
I need to know how you got it to sound like that. What exhaust
@@KeepItDirtyOffRoad I have the 6.2 model
Supercharged?
@@KeepItDirtyOffRoad is going to be.
What was that horrible rattling sound in the cage??
🤣🤣 those are the shocks. Bypass race shocks click and clack like that. The sound is the bypass valves doing their job and a noise you will always hear offroad. The noise is made worse by the cage. Those shocks are connected to the cage and that cage tuning resonated the sound in the cab. If you do a non caged truck with his long travel kits you get similar performance with not as much sound in the cab. You can hear some of it yeah, but not as much.
Hey did you know he travel to panama central america to build my kit on the 2013 ford raptor.
Whoa. That’s a long way to go. But the man is all about quality
Wow sickk!!
It’s a killer truck. Whole other level of builds
I have headers and true duel exhaust 3in all the way out with two outlaws. Is there a certain muffler on that and is it just a single exit?
Single exit with headers I think.
You cannot compare stock and custom build. Raptor is made with on road (daily) and off-road balance in mind.
🤣🤣 we did not even mention the R in the video. We only mention how the Gen3 is not a good starting point for a prerunner build
Very nice
🙏🙏 it’s even more impressive in person.
Man, I need to win the lottery 😂
You and I both. I so want one. But would have to sell my house and live in this thing to get one
@@KeepItDirtyOffRoad Convince the wife to Buy an RV...Hahah!!!
🤣🤣
Does anyone have a price on the HM 92 and 94 kits? I want to get on the list if it’s in the budget!
Kit price is about the same as an SVC mid travel kit. Just a little bit more because of the shock bucket is completely replaced. Contact Kevin for a quote. His contact details are in the description
Very sexy! How do they compare to SVC?
How does your truck handle smog?
This truck is a few levels up from SVC. SVC kits are nuts mid travel kits. Everything HM a makes is long travel and the amount of reinforcement he does is leaps and bounds more and better than anyone else in the Raptor game
Then agian the raptor R is stock and your build is nothing stock obviously its ganna be a killer but over all I fken love it
Yeah. Sorry had to use that as click bait since we dropped this video when there was a ton of interest on the Raptor R
@@KeepItDirtyOffRoad and it worked like a charm 🤣 never seen your videos until now subbed and all saw your hole video at work while in the shop blew my mind towards the end
Thanks man 🙏
get one man lol. i wish i could lol
Same here man. I would have to sell the house, the kid, the wife, maybe the dog. Nah, not the dog to get one.
I may do their 94 kit though. I was blown away by that front end
Welp, what is getting sold to finance this? Haha, for real man, I can’t go ride in one. I would sell everything including house and kids for one. So capable, with one draw back as he said, “gotta pay to play”!
Helio your channel is awesome! Can’t wait for the next adventure. But for little baby geezus’s sake, stop showing us things we want but can’t have. Jk, show it all
🤣🤣
Bruh, @25:20 your kid picked his nose and put a boogie in his mouth... yuck mouth right there.
And yeah, harnesses suck. Especially when someone else just used em. Retractable harnesses are pretty damn convenient.
🤣🤣🤣
Tear it down and back half it. The luxury part is a bonus. Start selling parts for the build.
So would love to do something like this one day.
This is literally vehicle porn for me. I'm on my second viewing. please go around the country when you have the chance and break down builds like these, there aren't enough on TH-cam with this much detail.
Thanks man. Same here. Planning on it. Got a look at a blitskrieg long travel kit that I will have up on the channel in a few weeks
But the Raptor R is more of a truck that's built for status lol. That truck is just a flex. So you can pull up to the Chevron and look around you to see what amateurs are checking you out while you pump gas.
But are you really flexing when it looks like the ecoboost raptor?
The R styling is very subtle. Too subtle to stand out
