Chip Carey really had the audacity to say, "Here is Marcell Ozuna from the Braves." 🤦♂️🤣

I don't know the circumstances behind Chip Carey jump to St. Louis from the Braves, but the fact that he did so and was picking at Ozuna makes him feel like a traitor to me, I no longer like him.

Phillies fan here, anytime I can see the Braves fall I can enjoy it. But I must say the announcer for The Card's has to have one of the best baseball voices in the game. 😅. 🍻 St. Louis. Good to see Contreras back . Just great for Baseball👏🏻
Well his Grand Daddy was infamous WGN Harry Carey for the Cubs and his daddy was hired by Ted Turner and WTBS voice of the Hawks and Flames as well as member of the Braves TV and Radio crew. Both HOF announcers so he gets it honestly. Two characters raised him well. I can't wish a Phillies fan good luck so I will say break a leg, lol

This is really a tough loss, the braves were so close but unlucky and it ends in a close one that doesn’t go their way. First off I thought schwellenbach wasn’t even bad he just ran into some bad luck in that 3rd, stl stole at least one more run than they should’ve, ozzie just missed the game tying homer, and then the 9th inning rally just falling short. Really tough luck honestly, tough loss to take but you got to move on. Lopez on the mound tomorrow hope the braves can bounce back. #ForTheA
If we play like this in the Playoffs we are First Round exit. We cant just have a really good game then not even understand the concept of hitting the next no luck to it
@@xrbe_cheetahrespectfully that's the dumbest thing I've read today. Baseball is a game of like 70% luck. You could hit a baseball 123mph and it not find the grass. Would you say the hitter made a bad swing or that it was unlucky that it was right at someone? I played baseball for 15 years. You can't say luck has nothing to do with baseball. It has quite literally everything to do with it
@@xrbe_cheetah6 hits and 4 walks I wouldn’t call having no concept of hitting. Not to mention it took to amazing plays for the Cardinals to not be down 1-0 in the first inning with just one out. The ball Ozzie hit could have very well been a hit if their 1b didn’t time his jump perfectly and Ozuna would have had an easy double if not for that diving play in center. Not to mention both just missed a home run by less than 5 feet total. This game could have easily been 8-4 or really 8-3 Braves had some things gone their way.

GW, Cards. We had our chances but didn't cash 'em in tonight.
Cardinals are getting to that dangerous stage of "just good enough" that the DeWitt Empire loves. Enough wins to say we're competitive, not enough to say we need to be proactive. Not enough losing to say sell, but definitely close enough to avoid a splash.
My Redbirds starting to get it together. You wouldnt think Hellboy has the most saves in the majors with the amount of times he makes things interesting at the end.

That's a frustrating game for the Braves. For as successful as Lance was pitching against us, there were a ton of hard hit balls, they just didn't turn into hits.
Also, strike three wasn't called when the Cards 4th run scored on the SB attempt. It was clearly a strike.
there is no more reason to Call Craig Kimbrel washed up player or heart attack closer when every closer does the same thing.

This is the type of loss that is painful, Schwellenbach wasn't at all great but he kept his team in the ball game, just one more biscuit for breakfast for Ozuna and Ozzie and they would've won this one as they both hit deep Flies that fell short with men on base at the warning track, a winnable game for Atlanta but we'll get them tomorrow, GO BRAVES!!!!!!!!
Cardinals pulled off some outstanding defense gems which saved their game. Especially in the 9th. D'Arnaud finds a gap, it clears the bases.

Cardinals should not have been so happy to have run themselves out of that inning. One run is cool to get it you’re struggling, they were mashing and rallying. The baseball IQ is so low on that play it’s hard to watch and listen to. You’ve got like 5 hits in the inning and no end in sight for the Braves and u run yourself out of it to steal one more run? U had 3 already and two guys on base. That really shows a lack of intelligence
That was a design play. Unfortunately. It was the run that made the difference.

The Cards activated him last Thursday so he should be in the bullpen soon, depending on whether or not they feel they need to send him down to a farm team to evaluate him in a gameplay scenario but no word of that yet. I anticipate we'll see him pitching at least an inning in the coming games.

Ump missed strike call to end the inning, Cards 4th run scored. He was missing calls for both teams. Challenge should be allowed for such cases. Maybe someday !
Been using it in the minors for 2 years now and works great. Should be implemented next year at the majors but let I heard they were saying 2026 at the earliest. Seems asinine that it would take that long.
Noticed this too. Should have been 3-1 instead of 4-1 because that steal attempt shouldn’t have even mattered. It was an 0-2 count with a strike down the pipe.

@@ralphjenkins6392 Marcel Ozuna got a DUI a couple years ago and he kept telling the officer he’s “Ozuna from the Braves”. It’s a joke throughout the MLB community now and the announcer seemed to be playing a joke on that. Look up the footage of the DUI and you’ll see what I mean.
