Awwww we thought you were on a road trip back to Florida for Disneys reopening. Maybe it is a wise choice to stay there because the cases from the virus is going up here. Great video anyways love it!
Without air conditioning, Scottsdale, Phoenix, Tucson and all the cities in most of Arizona wouldn't exist as they do today. I think I speak for most of us in Arizona when I say that one of our biggest fears is having our air conditioning go out during the summer (or anytime from Mid-May to Early October, typically). We do have great weather about 7 months out of the year.
When I was a kid in the late 70's, my parents would fly me into Scottsdale (from Virginia) to spend summers with my grandparents. Old Town Scottsdale used to be filled with Indian jewelry, moccasins, cowboy clothing and cool little trinket and ice cream shops. Coming from the East Coast, visiting Scottsdale (and my grandfather's log cabins up North) was like visiting a foreign country. Now that I've lived in Arizona for 35 years, it's fun to remember back to those dry, hot 1970's visits.
Hello Adam, it was so cool seeing you film at Desert Center. I’m a trucker, I go to Desert Center everyday. I’m in Arizona, and we meet with drivers from California, there, everyday. That would have been so cool, to have run into you, not with my truck, lol, but got to meet you. I was there that day, but before you got there. Hope you continue to stay healthy!
Love day tripping and touring with you especially when we are pretty much locked up here on the East Coast. Thanks for this makes a hopeful start for my day.
Hi Adam. I don’t responded much due to the fact that I doubt you see my posts, or are just too busy to respond due to an over abundance of comments by other viewer/comments. With that said, I want to really thank you for what you do, and the countless hours of entertainment you provide and especially during the difficult time we are struggling though. You have really taken it upon yourself to be the entertainment for those of us who sorely needed entertaining. I really like your blogs, and I hope I can meet you someday (no homo). You are a cool down to earth fella. Stay safe out there, and keep bringing joy wherever you go. Much love from the state of Wisconsin. Todd
Bro, your channel is the absolute BEST on TH-cam. Your Anaheim videos bring me back home and make me feel warm and fuzzy. But all your videos are great!
On the way back you might want to stop at The Mission Inn in Riverside. Lots to see there, and great food too. It's been a while since I last stayed there, but you don't need a room to look around. Architecture is amazing.
Back around 1990/91 My grandparents would always stop in desert center to eat at some diner there. It was on the way to Big River and that was always the food stop.
A little local trivia for you, Woo. Frankie Muniz of "Malcolm in the Middle" owns and operates an olive oil shop on that strip of Main Street in Scottsdale where you and Sean were roaming. Dick Van Dyke used to have a head shop there in the 70s. The Christmas classic "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer" was written by composer Johnny Marks while he lived in a house located on the property where Arizona Falls is now. His partner Gene Autry recorded the hit in 1949. Another Christmas classic, "White Christmas" was written by Irving Berlin during his stay at the Arizona Biltmore resort in 1942. Thought you might enjoy these tidbits.
Exactly the perk up I needed today. Enjoyed all the sights and sounds along the way. I noticed on the grate where the water was rushing through, one of the shapes on the grate looked like a hidden Mickey. Sad the owner of the book store passed away. Liked the mini town and the area where that episode of Air Wolf was filmed. Tanks for bringing us along for the ride and the adventures.
Adam, when you take your bike out for future outings, you need to attach another big the foot on to the handle bars and call it “mini the foot” or “big the foot 2.0” just a suggestion!
Old Towns Scottsdale must just be a sleepy kind of place, especially when it’s Hot. We were there a few years back in mid-July to see a WNBA games and slept in a Frank Lloyd Wright house for the weekend. They had a cold snap and it only got up to 99°F. There’s lots of quirky things to see in Quartzsite when it’s cooler in the Winter. There’re many fascinating grave constructions near Cecil’s Rainbow Garden and the tiny village. Patton sez Tanks for another Fun video
Hey! So happy you made it here for the Metro closing. Those tanks!!!! It is a General Patton Museum- and a terrific Diner right in the same parking lot.
I'm loving the cute vintage town ins Scottsdale, Arizona. I always wanted to visit Tombstone, Arizona because I am a big fan of Westerns. Thanks for sharing your adventures. :)
Thank you Adam🥰 I know you struggle with going on even short trips right now. We know you take everything into consideration and take the best care you can for yourself and others. We just want to let you know that during a very stressful and challenging time, you have been a constant in the lives of my husband and I. We enjoy your sense of humor and wondering perspective. I know it must be tiring doing a vlog everyday. We are very thankful!🌞
(#2) I think Arizona might be my destination for my life in a couple of years!!! I can't handle the humidtity of Florida!!! I get to sweaty!!! First comment too!!! Thanks Adam and Sean or Shawn? You guys are so very awesome! 😁 the time was so tubular!!! Bill and Ted Adventure!!! Awesome classic movie!! You are so cool dudes 😎😎❣❣❣❣ 2001 was the year my daughter was born.
@Kenneth Holland I live a couple of hours west of Dallas. I like it out here in Parker County, and I totally understand your feelings about Dallas. Ugh....would never live there. Good luck with your next move.
Don’t do it, you’ll be bored after a couple years living in AZ. More and more people are moving to the state, traffic has become a problem and areas die out quickly. (Edit: unless you’re in scottsdale or Downtown, then it’s worth it, but anywhere else is bad.)
What I noticed is that it is just like the Mediterranean climate, if you can find shade it's much cooler especially if there is a breeze. The East Coast heat is much more nasty. You can 'feel' the air. I have always noticed a faint smell too when it's bad. It's a weak version of that 'Rain Smell', when there is a thunderstorm nearby or when it is about to rain hard.
@@foxdogjakeNew York in June, I had to collect things out of a basement, the air was so thick I couldn't breathe. Arizona is also nice, because No Mosquitos, No Fleas, few Flies I often slept outside at night, it's a liberating feeling.
We're just now getting into our Monsoon season here in Phoenix, so for the next couple of months we'll have some more humidity and we'll have some dust storms (Haboobs) and some thunderstorms around the valley from time to time (maybe even some intense storms with flash-flooding). Last summer, our Monsoon season we didn't have that many thunderstorms - we had more dust storms. Dust storms kinda suck because they can be dangerous if you're out on the road, and they coat everything in basically thin dirt and you need to get a car wash and/or clean out your pool if you have one. If we're gonna have a dust storm, I prefer the type that comes with a follow-up thunderstorm so that the rain washes away all the dust/dirt.
15:13 Adam, you have just entered into our world! It's called Disc Golf. One of the first disc golf courses established is located in Santa Cruz, CA.. DeLaveaga Disc Golf Course. Innova Discs(front runner) resides to this day in, Rancho Cucamonga. Oh boy, you just struck gold Adam!
When I think of Scottsdale, Bob Crane is the first thing that comes to mind. The motel he was murdered in has been converted to a condo, but it’s still there. Would be cool to visit. The room numbers are apparently the same too.
I love the look of Arizona. I wish one day I can travel to the USA and go there but I am obviously stuck in the UK cause Covid-19 of course. Anyway great video Adam. 😇👍
Ah have missed these style videos. I have only been to Arizona once but really liked it around Tucson - such a unique looking place and looking forward to going back to see more towns !
That's a shame the book store owner passed away - great it's still going strong! Enjoyed this eclectic mix of stuff in AZ and looking forward to your next video. :)
I'm so glad that you and Sean wear your masks. Right now Arizona is a hot spot and Scottsdale is particularly bad. Glad you were there early when no one was around. I love Adam and Sean videos!
Love Old Town!!! Had a great time visiting Scottsdale a couple of years ago. We were there the same time of year as you were Adam and it was 115 degrees , even at 8pm!!! Enjoy 😉
Oh damn i remember when you created this channel lol you were my favorite youtuber when i was younger. binged watched you everyday and re watched your vids lol
Lived in Scottsdale most of my life, glad you came to visit. The opening scene from Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure was filmed at the high school I attended in Scottsdale, Coronado High School.
I have been to Arizona in August and it gets very hot. I love it when people tell me it's a dry heat. I had to change my shirt twice a day when I was there and Vegas. Glad you could get out and see something. Stay safe man.
Adam the Woo - (Pre) Tom Wilson friendship would have made a Mad Dog Tannen reference when he saw a blacksmith sign. Awesome video, Adam! You guys have fun and be safe!
That book store owner, I knew him when he was starting out at the swap meet in Prescott, AZ. We called him "No Pants" because he'd basically wear a pair of Daisy Dukes and I guess some shoes. He had this weird third nipple thing. Really nice guy. Later I heard he'd moved to Quartzsite, which makes sense. RIP hope there's plenty of "cheese that smells like socks" in Heaven.
Phoenix locals love spending time in Jerome and Sedona! Makes for a great day trip, too. Leave early in the morning, drive a couple of hours to Jerome and spend some time there, then drive over to Sedona (15-20 minutes away) finish off the day there and have dinner, then drive home that night. Or even better, spend the whole weekend up there. In the summer, drive a little further up the road to Flagstaff where you can cool down another 10 degrees and enjoy some fresh mountain air in the pines.

There are still a number of small shops. It's a good place to take visitors.
It takes a certain that can wear Indian Jewelry, it looks better layered.
Places like that seem like torture when you are little, then magically you get older and want nothing more than to go back. Life is crazy.
Metal art is my favorite. From the statue of liberty to this stuff, cool.
When I lived in Scottsdale I ran that canal path next to the falls almost everyday. Miss it, but I’ll take the beach paths in SoCal now!
