Congrats on your harvest, I don’t know if you have been there yet, but if you want to have a blast hog hunting try Green Swamp WMA, from the main road take the trail to the river. Really nice campground too.
I’ve never heard of it I’ll check it out now I tried upper St. John’s river marsh about 3 weeks ago on south side and north side. It sucked. Hard to get into somewhere without an airboat. The south side had a lake on the right and deep swamp/canal on left.

Because the areas are typically so small it would either just give the whole spot or if it’s a big spot it doesn’t help much I honestly go anywhere that’s open when I feel like hunting.
Nice job. Only thing I can add is if it's public ground and you want to keep things under lock and key,you dont have to say public ground. Just give the county or the city/town as where you are hunting. I spent more time trying to figure your area then I did enjoying the footage. I kinda settled on maybe Moore Haven area ? So i know i'm wrong. But now i;ll go back and watch it and enjoy it THINKING it's mid state South Florida. Did not look coastal,and those oak hammocks drew me to Moore Haven ish.
I don’t understand why the secrecy, this area is huge, just by knowing the location doesn’t mean you will be successful harvesting anything. This is Allapattah Flats WMA, in Martin County, he is camping on the east side of Martin Hwy. It’s a beautiful area, but you need to be aware that there’s a lot of cattle grazing around, and sometimes the ranchers will drive right up by your tree stand to round up the cattle. I know where he harvested the hog, but you will need to scout the WMA to find out, there are several gates for you to figure it out, good luck!
Thats awesome! Im just starting to get into hunting. How did you find that WMA? looks relatively dry. All the ones ive been to in the south are wetlands.
Yes same here most ones I go to are all wet this spot this time of year was just all dried up for the most part. I just looked up on fwc website open wma areas at the time and found it. I like trying new spots a lot also, but this one was definitely a nice area and sick campsite!
You may just want to expand your knowledge on UAS/Drone LAWS. All Managed Lands in Florida are Prohibited for flying them. If you read the Laws, You'll find Most of Florida is Managed land somehow/!
Indeed but you can fly from the road onto it. It is illegal to take off and land on public wmas here. I followed all the rules and checked it out prior you definitely have to check before going out! Good luck hunting out there🦌

Check out FWC they have a way to check what areas are open I haven’t hunted south of JW Corbett yet I’ve heard it’s tough down there so good luck!
