I listen to them for about 12 years. As a teenager I never took care of the lyrics in their songs cos English is not my first language, I just completely fell in love with their vibe. When I got older I started to pay attention to lyrics in songs, listen to other genres like rap/trap etc. ACOE and especially this masterpiece are so great in the matter of lyrics and corresponds with me growing up so much that my love for this band only rises up. Totally grateful for what they did, it shaped me as a human being. Sounds bit psycho-fan but it's true! :d
Just saw them in Dallas! Been a fan since I was 13 back in 2011, from the moment I caught the last song and a half of them opening for Foo fighters and Motörhead. Went right home and became obsessed with revolutions live at Wembley and was hooked. Biffy in the states exceeded every expectation, and we get the privilege of seeing them in small 600-1000 cap clubs where everyone else sees them in huge 15,000-20,000 cap arenas. Truly a special experience for me. Mon the biff!
I think the really good lyrics Simon forgot is "before the rhythm stops, before it ends, please give love to everyone". Interesting way to end the album when you contrast it against the last album's closer Cop Syrup's "fuck everybody, woo!"
Anyways, thank you NME for bringing this, and Biffy Clyro, for being such an amazing band and gift us with this masterpiece
Ironically, it sounds like the recent crappy proceedings shaped this album into something more resembling Infinity Land which is a very positive outcome for me in spite of the dark subject matter of the pandemic.
Seems they needed to be stuck in one place for an extended period in order to find themselves again. At least this past year's shitshow appears to have been of some positive benefit.
Is it as good as ACOE, for me no, but it's still a mega album, maybe an extra 6 months to add extra/less in a way may have made it better. Holy Water has been made amazing with the extra at the end though
"One of their most cohesive albums to date" Word to that 🔥
Its not haha
@@Hero_Of_Old wish u were 01 comment but u not maybe the will do an 02
Love to hear Simon talk about his music, his songwriting has had such a huge impact on my life for so long
"...it's you, it's always been you"
This album came just at the right time, especially with the context behind unknown male. It always comes back.

Si appears to have had a wee biff before the interview 😅
I would like to know from where Simon got his stunning coat
