Wearing the grey dial CW12
Rocking the Tudor Ranger for the past few days (today included)
I’m wearing my Tudor Black Bay Pro 😎
Wrist Check today Seiko Spb143 with olive green NATO
Looking forward to the review of the blue Longines Hydroconquest GMT.
Excellent video! You’re options are superb.
I’m just wondering. Why do people not talk more about the Omega Planet Ocean? Such a beautiful beast.
What about PRX Carbon? Tested it?
Longines conquest heritage 35mm on a black morellato lizard strap, with longines pin buckle of course.
Longines is the best brand for bang for buck. My first luxury watch was a 1965 Longines Grand Prize. My second - Longines Hydroconquest.
IWC MARK as alternative Oris Propilot ?
wearing Sinn U50 tegimented.
#1 wins
Wrist check: Tissot Seastar 1000 GMT
If I’m looking for an IWC Mark XVIII, do I ask for the ex-vee-eye-eye-eye?
If youre Harrison, who's Chisholm Hunter?
wrist check: Seiko SRPE61, gray dial DressKX. My first automatic watch and I can't go back to standard quartz, the sweeping second hand is just so nice.
Any time i see someone recommend a mark series IWC, i think of the longines spirit. Same quality, just as good heritage, and less than half the price.
I must be the only person who doesn't like a 6 o'clock date window. I prefer a No Date version of any watch, but if it must have a date, then I will only buy if the date is at 3 o'clock. I think I like the symmetry of the date window next to the crown. I wish I could see it differently as there are lots of watches that i would be interested in if it were not for the 6 o'clock date window.
Bulova Surveyor open heart blue, beautiful on wrist at Aud 199, love it
Wrist check - AT Black Pearl
Wrist check: GS Snowflake on the factory bracelet.
Glad I made the original black pearl comment on the new aqua terra. Very fitting name
Rolex Panda
Wristcheck - Casio Illuminator SS
All great watches Harrison. I would love it if you did another one of your photography videos. I know it's a lot of work but your last one was a masterpiece.
Wrist check today: Hamilton jazz master open heart
Speedy first watch to break on the moon.😂 Having to be bailed out by you know who
I like the skyflake more than the snowflake 😊
Good selection. I'm wearing my green Bel Canto.
My vote goes for Tudor Black Bay 58 Blue. As I watch this video I have on my wrist the Damasko DS30.
Currently wearing a Tudor Prince Date 34mm two-tone black dial
Wrist check: 42 mm Hamilton Pioneer Navy with the large sweep hand that actually uses the dial markings, unlike the newer ones that have a sub second hand yet are on the old fully marked white second dial. It is on a black NATO soft “seatbelt” strap. My every day watch.
Wrist check- Cartier santos L white dial
Wrist check: Aquaterra with a white teak dial and black strap.
Wrist check: Hamilton Khaki X-Wind in rose gold with the carbon dial
Today, Tudor, Black Bay, Harrods edition.
Hunter I’m wearing my Tudor Ranger today sir. Beautiful Twelve you have there!
'XX'? It's TWENTY
Recommending a manual wind watch for a first time luxury watch buyer is a mistake.
Wish Longines would come out with a red and blue bezel GMT.
It’s called the “mark 20” because XX is Roman numerals for 20. Good video 👍🏻
Wrist check: Bulova Accutron Spaceview N1
Wrist check tag aquaracer blue dial on rubber strap
Wrist check: seiko sne 589. Amazing watch! With an irezumi strap from uncle straps.
The Omega FOIS is what I want ! Absolutely gorgeous ❤
Currently, wearing the older version. Found a late model in the 16000s with 2 years left on Omega warranty.
The Tudor Monochrome is the best value right now. The Omega AT is also great but in 41mm. Way better size for men and better movement with the 8900.
I'm wearing my Hamilton Khaki Aviation Pilot Day Date today. Lots of visual interest on the dial; looks a bit big but it works on my 17 cm wrist. The Black Pearl looks great in the video. Originally I was thinking Omega when I was starting to get back into watches, but I couldn't find one that felt good on my wrist. Yesterday I was wearing my Citizen Super Titanium Zenshin White Dial Small Seconds, courtesy of one of my favorite watch vloggers; love the lightness of the watch and am extremely grateful....thanks Harrison!
Longine is significantly affordable compared to the rest of the mentioned brands. To me, my luxury pick would be GS, tudor, omega, Cartier.
Moonwatch with the sapphire sandwich was my first luxury watch. Then I got the Omega NTTD six months later. I would love the AT with a white dial.
Wrist check: Seiko SRPC95K1 "Nemo"
I like how you mentioned the hydroconquest gmt instead of the Zulu time. I think the hydroconquest gmt is slept on a bit
Awesome recommendations!!! Tudor black bay line is a wonderful sporty choice. The Omega Aqua Terra is a great choice for a do everything luxury watch. 😊
Tudor BB 41 burgundy. My 1st and daily
Wrist check: Casio baby-g Pokemon Pikachu edition.
Black Bay 36 black on a green rubber strap
First time buyers going to the Rolex AD. Prepare for your first dissapointment.
Ain't that the truth! I've been on the list for going on 5 years now. I'm done with Rolex.
Well I can actually disagree there . I got the aforementioned 36mm OP within 3 months wait .
This isn't true. I recently got an explorer 36 at an AD within 1 week without purchase history. Perfect 1st luxury watch or 1-watch collection.
Rolex OP may be entry level, but because of demand and hype getting one at retail is a challenge especially the steel one.
Wrist check: Blue Captain Cook on beads of rice
Wrist check: M.A.D editions “time to love”
👍💪👏🫶❤️ on my wrist today Tissot Prx auto 40mm…
I think the Speedmaster isn't the best choice for first time buyers. It's a manual watch and you could overwind it and break the movement. I think the best one for first time buyers is a time only watch that is automatic, get a feel for it and later down the road you can always buy watches with more complications.
That AT in 38mm… my gosh is beautiful in person. Tried at AD some time ago and still blown away
I'm sorry but a nato as a first strap because you might be too scared to scratch the bracelet? If that's the case, just buy a cheaper watch.
getting iwc mark xx on non-bracelet is HUGE misstep imo - the bracelet is the BEST in the industry, period, and it is the main draw for this watch. You get a tool-less adjustment system, quick release, and micro-adjustment that's seamless integrated into the logo - this is just perfection. You are doing yourself a huge disservice getting it on leather or nato.
This. Absolutely regret not buying it on a bracelet now it’s gonna cost quite a bit more to buy on its own.
To me a spring drive is a solid argument for first luxury watch because it gives you something completely unattainable (besides precious metals) at the affordable segment. While the movements or construction may not be on the same level as luxury you can get ceramic/sapphire bezels, on the flu micro adjust, and traveller's GMT movements at the affordable segment. You absolutely cannot get a spring drive at the affordable segment unless you get a stupid good deal on a used model.
Wrist check today: Certina DS Skeleton ❤
Great selection 😊
While covering speedmaster he said its most expansive watch hes gonna cover in this video XD and we moved to rolex, IWC and Grand Sekio... you meant one of the cheapest?
Although I have Tissot Seastar, but for first time buyers into luxury watches, Longines, always Longies that you will never be let down
Strangely enough, I just had a faulty Longines delivered from CH itself lol.
First time luxury watch buyers are probably going to spend significantly less. Probably more like Tissot and Hamilton. 😊
Mark XX?
@@Angry_GnomeI think it's the reference to him saying XX instead of 20.
Be aware that the person that controls the availability of Rolex at the AD typically also handles the availability of Tudor. “Hot” Tudor models are also hard to get (even if the store safe is full of them). That person sells using contacts with flippers and VIPs (so that won’t be the person that you meet in store). It’s best to avoid stores with a coronet if you don’t care for their mind games. Build a “relationship” with a manufacturer’s boutique (cut out the jewler middleman).
I went to a Rolex boutique. And almost 5 years on still waiting. I want a 41mm celebration. Granted that's not the watch I first went in for.
Love how he talks very fast at the start and very slow at the end of every sentence. Impressive.
Wrist check today: Longines Hydroconquest green dial on the bracelet.
Today I’m working in the garden, so my Seiko “Arnie” Tropical Lagoon is on-wrist.
No Breitling?
Wrist check= Omega Seamaster 300 white dial, OEM rubber strap
Wrist check: Oris big crown propilot GMT Rega limited edition. Only big hands and wrists need apply!
Wrist check : tissot prx 35mm blue
the Longines Master Collection with the Salmon/gold face is .... a banger. A seriously pretty and understated watch
I got myself a green seamaster for my first luxury watch i love it
Harrison, wait until your hair goes grey! That signals the advance of ageing!
I’d personally pick the TAG Heuer Aquaracer 200 over the 300. It’s classier looking with its steel bezel, IMHO. And a better size. The green dial version at 15:30 is killer.
Wrist check: Tissot PRX green dial, recenty put it on an emerald green Delugs rubber strap and absolutely love it
3rd thumb up !
Wrist check: tag Heuer aquaracer chrono automatic. Like your c.w your rocking the dials awesome.
Something that is not talked much is how smooth the movement are in the Tag watches
On the wrist today is my Breitling Avenger 43mm
The longines Hydroconquest GMT is stunning 😍
Wrist check - Christoper Ward C65 Dune
Seen 1 in the wild today the cream dial suprised to see a CW in public, it looked a little small though how do you find it?
I like it, the quality is good but yes it’s small. I have 8 inch wrists and I still like it though. It gives it the classic proportions which I like but might not suit everyone.
@stephenhocking9467 thanks for the reply yes bet it is slightly small on 8" mine is 6 3/4" so prob be ok would have thought :)
good choice. saw a guy on holiday 2 weeks ago with a Bel Canto in purple... he was kinda shocked when i mentioned it.
Excellent selections! All of these put together would be a completely killer collection. Longine(s) is silent...
The more i see IWC. The more I think I want one. But I really want a great skeleton as well. Torn with IWC and a Panerai 🤔
Il mio primo orologio importante è stato il moonwatch ❤
Breitling SuperOcean 44 did it for me as first watch. awesome unique look
Tudor looks awesome.
