I think it is correct In napthalene and anthracene, when we do birch reduction, I guess we have to get an intermediate (i.e. the anion and radical intermed) such that in napthalene the other ring remains aromatic and in anthracene, the two rings next to it remain aromatic. So same way in phenanthrene, the anion and radical will again arrange such that the other two rings remain aromatic. in this although both the anion and radical are closeby, I think it is more stable due to 2 aromatic rings rather than only 1 if we change the anion and radical position but this is according to me, I might be wrong
Sir should we solve MS Chouhan level 1 for practicing because in one review I found that it has around 35-40% irrelevant questions which are not in syllabus of JEE ADV. If no than please recommend a book which good for problem practicing please sir Please reply
