It had to become so ridiculous by the end to up the stakes because it just kept ramping it up in terms of action scenes but character's motivations were so weak and dull to follow . Just a big " meh " . Disappointing because it's Scarlett's last black widow movie .

Done with my third Black Widow watch and it’s Hands Down the Best Marvel Origin Movie. Period.
It was fantastic, but Captain America still rules for me.
Followed by Black Panther.

The bit about the annoying Che & Jost "gifts" reminds me of an episode of the old Kung Fu tv series, which starred David Carradine. A flashback scene shows young Caine being given an unwanted carved wooden ant from a rival student at the Shaolin monastery, intended as a symbol of Caine's insignificance. Decades later, Caine still was burdened with the ant, carrying it in his small bag of possessions, because Caine believed throwing or giving it away would dishonor the person who gave it to him.
