I love Burton, and I love all eras of FF from, even Transgression haha. I wish there could be a world where all the original members could settle their differences and keep FF going, but life doesn't always work out the way you want like that, so credit to Dino for keeping things moving, and as much as I love Burton... After Archetype era he really struggled with vocals. I get it, 20 years of singing songs like Demanufacture isn't easy, and he isn't getting younger. I too wish he could keep his cleans solid throughout the years, but once again, life isn't always kind. I think Dino made an excellent choice, and Milo has even claimed that he owes so much thanks to Dino AND Burt. So excited for the future of FF, I think Milo will continue to kill it!! Welcome to the factory!
I saw FF on Ozzfest 99 on second stage in Phoenix, AZ with the original lineup of course and it was the pinnacle time to see them during the Obsolete era. It was awesome. Burton looked severely Sunburned with his shirt off in the 108 degree heat in the middle of the day. Lol
Well I have to admit, Cazares did found the best replacement as he ever could for Burton. He sings similar to Burton and he sings clean which is awesome.
Dino mentioned Society 1, geez i remember seeing them at Download Fest 2005 (Donington Park) and the vocalist sang the full 20/25 min set lifted in the air by piercing hooks on his back. Fkin insane. When he finished he had to be carried off stage. The guy is absolutely nuts.
I'm glad these songs exist. I'm glad FF exist. Dino Cazares has put everything on the line to preserve the music. I hope Milo evolves his voice away from being just a Burton 2.0 and adds something new to the machine. No one plays like Dino. No one sang like Burton C Bell. But Burton struggled live. Just facts. And facts are that the music industry, ESPECIALLY metal bands rely on touring to survive in the modern world. If The singer keeps gassing out, the music we love suffers. Mechanize, Industrialist, Genexus and the newest one all CRUSH. How many metal bands have that longevity in the studio. Maiden and Metallica have released some stinkers in the last decade. Dino FF is consistent!! . I also dont hate Archetype but its not FF
