Hahah. Kara and Nate, these were scouting children (it's called "Sayarut" in Hebrew) and the lady at the beginning asked you if you'd like to join in.
That's 'teenagering' in Israel. Zero tact, zero distance, very friendly.
And when it's come to you not wearing a Kippah on the bus, you shouldn't feel uncomfortable, Nate. Since you're not Jewish, they would not have expected you to go with it once they realized you're a tourist. And there are MANY tourists in Jerusalem. Since Judaism is not missionary or forcing, not going with Kippah is hardly disrespectful. They mights have been curious, but not offended.

I’m jewish and I’m so glad that you had an amazing experience while in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem! I’ve been to Israel before in the past back in summer of 2016. I went there with a federation that I was in (with my mom and my sister and my grandparents as well) and I remembered vividly that I went to a restaurant on a Saturday afternoon after the services for Shabbat and it was called “The Focacca Bar”. It was sooo good that I had a burger with fries (and yes believe me it was kosher). I also had Coca Cola there. There was another time where I went to the market that it was very very crowded and that was pretty challenging, but I was glad to have this kind of an experience thing. And yeah! There are so many other things to tell, but there’s one more thing. During that one day, I went to the Masada, which is a desert with mountains and it was buuurrrnning hot. However, I am very happy for both of you to have some site-seeing around the city of Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. I have been to both of them as well, but also The Kibbutz. It was great. Alright. Enough said, I’ve been watching your videos during later times, especially during quarantine. I hope that your still safe and giving you both some prayers. 🙏🏻

Hi K & N, I'm from the UK and although I'm Jewish and in my 60's, my first trip to Israel was earlier this year! It exceeded my expectations and I enjoyed it so much, I'm going again next year, to Eilat. I'm so happy you are enjoying yourselves; after you've visited every country I'd like to see some videos of your trips to the Moon, and then to Mars. You are both young, and have plenty of time for this!

It really super cool that y’all emerged yourselves into the religion. It also helped me learn and understand their religion as well. I said all of this to say I’m a Christian and i practice the same concept of the Jews, as far as worshiping the sabbath. I, myself don’t work on Friday evening or Saturdays until sunset. So i go to church on Saturday. It’s great to see how big the world is and how much of religion is so big in certain countries. It’s amazing! Absolutely love u guys for shows and sharing with us this experience! ❤️

Are you Adventist? Or messianic? I know most Christians observe the sabbath on Sunday, but the day is kind of arbitrary, as long as its the 7th day. The French used to (and sometimes still do) end the week with dimanche (Sunday) as the 7th day on their calendar.

A trick for an activity and transportation on Shabbat that I learned when I was there. Tours still operate and typically pick up in both Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. They will also pick you up in one city, and drop you off at the end of the tour in the other. I did this - was picked up at my hotel in Jerusalem for an all -day tour to Masada and the Dead Sea. I was flying out the next morning, so I booked a hotel in Tel Aviv and was dropped off at the end of tour at the door of my next hotel. Very convenient. And with everything closed on Shabbat, I had a great activity.

Or Gadol, I see it as a language thing. Americans don’t ask that in that way. My experience is that Israelis have different “taboo boundaries” than Americans do. And to her that was the appropriate way to ask if she thought that he may be a famous soccer player. Just guessing.

So, if I'll ever be in America I'll make sure never to ask people "who are you?" 😉
Instead, I'll ask "who do you think you are?" - that probably would be more appropriate and sensitive as to not confine someone into narrow meaning of - you are only what you physically are and can't be whatever you think you are...
