This happen quite a few times for me before the update. So what happen here is you don’t have FSD that can automatically stop or yield after seeing the red light or stop sign. And you are not not trying to manually take over or break. I believe this is a safety mechanism to make sure it doesn’t accidentally cross the stop sign or red light. This also happen when you your lane split into two lane in local street. This won’t happen If there is a car in front of you

I don't remember exactly but if my memory serves it's been on mine for a while now. I think I've noticed this warning only when I have a destination set and using Tesla's on-board navigation.

Interesting - thank you for your comment. I wonder when it first started behaving this way 🤔

That same warning happens to me, but only when I’m driving in EAP. It started when I got that stupid SW Update. It’s gotten to be suck a PITA that I now only use EAP on Interstates.

Interesting 🤔. I have basic autopilot and had never seen this warning until a few months ago. I do like the safety aspect of it (eg, warning you that you are coming to a stop sign or light fast and the car will not stop for it by itself).

Great ! For once you will use the EAP for what was made for. AP on rural roads is obnoxious. Why anyone would do that ?

Its interesting when I turn the stalk down to engage autopilot i never get the blue steering wheel. All i get is max speed is in blue color instead of black

Are you sure that you have autopilot on? One press down on the stalk is traffic-aware cruise control (TACC). A double press down gets you auto-pilot. There is a new setting in the car menu that allows you to change it so that it is a single press down to turn on autopilot. If autopilot is on, you will always see that blue circle around the little steering wheel in the upper left.

@@mikesevgarage Is it because you have the enhanced Autopilot since I do not have that. I only have the basic standard autopilot that comes with the car. I am still very new here since I just got my 2024 Model Y

I do not have enhanced autopilot on our Model Y - only basic autopilot. That’s why I was surprised that it gave me the warning.
Congrats on your new Model Y! How are you liking it?
