Thanks for sharing, Evan. Great video. I was considering the W1SFR but it doesn’t appear to have a heavy enough base to keep it from moving around on your desk. I’ll probably go with the Begali HST III. Its base weighs in at around four pounds so it should stay put. 73

The key I have is the lightest one he makes. If you buy a Titan or a Fat Boy it's not going to move. The Titan is MASSIVE

I just want to display a few keys. This one looks nice.
A Vibroplex bug in chrome is on my list, too, along with some kind of Navy style straight key like my very first one.

      All definitely great choices!

Snap! I tried a Kent straight 'up n down' key but couldn't settle down with it so I bought the Fat Boy Torsion Bar. I'm still in the early stages of my CW journey and I feel the FBTB is going to accompany me for a lot of the time.
A good informative vid, thanks Evan.

It's definitely. fun! I'm getting used to it, but it's still a little foreign. Thanks for watching

Thanks for the review Evan. Is there a way to adjust torsion bar tension? Steve's website mentions "very light touch," but I'm not a light touch kind of operator. Can the key be adjusted to require more touch?

No, the tension is fixed. It's not super light, nor is it heavy. It's very hard to describe what it feels like. Between the torsion bar and the leaf spring contacts, it doesn't feel like any other key I've ever used.

Why would you not want to learn code using this cootie key? Would you also mean any other cootie key? Thanks for your reply.

Yeah, generally speaking learning on a Cootie first is probably not the way to go. Either a straight key or paddles would be the best to start on. Once you've got some proficiency under your belt is when you give bugs and cooties a try. Thanks for watching!
