Do a wheelie video. I could wheelie all day long as a kid on my 10 speed. But now Im 61 and can get a few rotations. I want to be able to ride in the local parade this summer and when the kids say do a wheelie I want to hear them say,"look at that old guy doin a wheelie." lol

I bought a DJI Osmo Action 3 over a year ago, it's been a great camera for me. At the time Gopro was plagued with overheating issues and footage loss. So I picked what was at the time 100 dollars cheaper, and more reliable.

I switched to DJI because I was tired of GoPro, it felt scammy at some point and the reliability issues they never really fixed model after model was annoying. To be honest image quality and stabilization is a little better on the GoPro 12 but it's pixel peeping so it doesnt impact using the camera on the field. Menu on the GoPro seems more intuitive to me, both menus have pros and cons, defo GoPro has more options and settings that DJI doesnt have yet but most of them are good to have and not deal breakers. Reliability of DJI is not even close, been using it a lot the last 9 months, not one single issue.

Haha, great timing on the video. I've been wanting to start recording some riding vids. I've been looking into both of these. Definitely heavily considering the dji4. Plus, it is $100 cheaper, which is compelling.

Yeah man the 8 was , and still is horrible. lol I use my 7 more . Lately I’ve been using the DJI osmo action 3 , and Insta360 Ace Pro .

Always enjoy your content Matty! I just started researching a new action camera for myself and I’m torn between three. Insta 360 4, GoPro 12 and DJI4. I’ve only owned previous GoPro models. I was hoping this video would make my choice easier but from the footage you showed, I actually think the GoPro looks and sounds better. I hate GoPro’s touch screen though. It is very slow in my opinion. I also heard there’s a DJI Action 5 right around the corner so there’s that. I wish you would have done the comparison of the two cameras riding the same trail sections on each instead of different sections for each. Makes it a bit more difficult to make a comparison. Still a great presentation though. 👌🏼🤘🏼

I rather the video quality on the go pro but the audio seems to be a tad better which in this particular case isn’t a good thing cus I hear a ton more chain slap or chatter from the bike.

You aren't wrong about that max lense mod.... that looks incredible. The only thing is that in that mode there is a lot to distract viewer but it is a great view.

The reason I use a GoPro is that I do not have a smartphone. I once bought the DJI Osmo Action (first version) and it required me to connect to a smartphone app when I turned it on for the first time. This could not be skipped and the camera could not be used before registering it through that app. So I had to send it back to the store.

Hi, I just bought DJI Action 4 about 3 weeks ago with some accessories. My 12 yo son is doing most of the filming and we are satisfied so far. Anyhow, there is one major issue with DJI - their e-shop. I just cannot understand the unclever logic of their language options. You cannot choose in their e-shop separately country and language. You can choose country and the language is automatically chosen. So if you live in Germany, but you do not speak yet fluent german and want to have the e-shop in english, it is not possible. I was advised by DJI support team to change country to have it in English, but then you cannot finish the address setup as you cannot fill German address into UK country setup. You have to buy your camera in German e-shop (not understanding all the documentation connected with the purchase) and then change to UK to have it in English. But then you loose all your order history because order history is linked to country setup, not your account. Hallo DJI, anyone thinking there? Country and language are two different things and must be set independently. Also order history must be linked to the account, not the country. Hope no more surprises with using DJI software.

I absolutely loved my GoPro Hero 3+ Black for the 3 rides I actually used it. I think my perfect camera would be one small enough I don't notice it, with battery and memory I don't have to worry about. That way I could just hit record and forget about it, and if anything interesting happened (doubtful on my rides 😂) I could just pull it from the memory card a few days later.

Great vid, brotha 👊🏿. I upgraded my hero 7 to the 12 for my rc vids mostly pov and boxing coaching (I send my clients vid breakdowns of lessons). The 7 is the one I mount on planes and trucks because I know for a fact it can bounce off pavement at over 80mph and keep recording 🤣. But... the same overheating issues 5 models later are still there. After your vid, I think I'll get the max lense. Especially for my boxing pov vids! 💪🏿💪🏿. Subscribed 👊🏿

The truth is all TH-camrs wouldn’t have a channel if it wasn’t for GoPro so I feel they should have some type of brand loyalty which is forgotten in this generation. The only area DJI has a pro is battery life only because lithium ion batteries have come a very long way in a very short time. GoPro also offers a better battery that comes from stock which gets you pretty close to DJIs. One more point the magnetic clip that comes stock on the DJI well GoPro offers a case with the magnetic clip just like theirs. Truth is GoPros standard setting versus DJI is better on both video and audio.
