Thanks for your kind comments - made my day considering it was only filmed as a test of a very neat little camera. So neat that I am considering selling my Z1.
Thanks for the comment. Bath is not a cheap place to live. I did a quick edit in Final Cut Pro on an iMac, but this could have been cut with anything. For the size and price, there was no other choice. Have fun.
Thanks for your comments. Yes, the camera is too small to be handheld so I use a gorillapod in this (and the other video). The 12x optical allows really good zooms as well. Perfect for high quality cutaway footage whilst blending in as a tourist. Can't do that with a fully loaded Z1.
Like klokanRsk, I find ti hard to think about the technical side of this video because the content is so good. Even on a cold Feb day it brings a smile to my face and makes me want to be there with my girlfriend and just be happy. A small masterpiece that makes me believe life can be good.
Don't have the compression profile with me but it was filmed at 50i PAL, deinterlaced and rendered to 25fps (I think) in Final Cut. Then encoded to H.264.
ah ... ok. gorillapod ... i see :-) your're right, it seems to enable disrcet shots. for me, it might be important, too. many people dont`t like to be filmed
Can't recall. It was about £40. It shakes the camera when you press the button to start and stop recording, so I had to trim each sequence in edit. One might use the remote to avoid this.
What model of gorillapod did you use. After seeing your video I had a look on Amazon to see the gorillapods and wasn't sure which one would work with the TM300. I'm waiting for the TM700 to come out which will push the price down of the 300 which I think is good enought for me.

Very nice Video ! Well done Sire !
Thanks for replying! I guess you're right. I've read that the top of the range HS700, has a whopping 240Gb of storage on its hard disk.

@piperbob2 I don't know. You'll have to read the specifications on the TM700. I suspect it is just more internal storage.
WoW, the quality seems so much better than the canon HV20 for the money

Was the original 1080 or 720? Sharp picture. Nice footage by the way. I'm still torn between a camcorder or Canon dslr for video.
This is good. But what improvements does the new Panasonic TM700 have over this?
@unzarjones I got the 550D last month but that is a whole lot more work than the TM300 for video.

Do you mean the music or the images?
1080
For me the video itself is too catchy so it's hard to concentrate on the technical quality of the camcorder :-)
