I wouldnt have called the last play for Wagner at all, the fact it got to Sheppard...perfect. Good decision by DJ, get it to the hot hand that is willing you to victory all game.

I know that last season and this one UK basketball hasn't quite lived up to unreal expectations, but they have produced my two all-time favorite wildcats in Reed Sheppard and Oscar Tshiebwe. Exceptional players, and even better young men!!! Winning championships isn't everything in college basketball, but I'm telling you this team has a chance!

I will never understand some of our fanbase, complain because we lose, complain because we won but not the way "they" would have done. We just saw press conference Cal, feeling good, leaning back. I've never seen a school set up a table in the locker room for a press conference! They must be trying to pay for that new floor.

The reason that we won tonight is that a Kentucky bred and born kid wanted to win the game. That is what has been missing from Calipari teams.

Love cal but DJ needs to come off the bench, Rob and reed both with reeves, Adou and z need to be the lineup. They were the guys that won the game. Rob made the shot to take the lead and reed made the plays down the stretch. Mississippi State played their best game and these kids were down 52-39 in the starting minutes of the second half and locked in and came back and won the game. They came all the way back and almost went up by 10. If that doesn't tell you this team is growing on defense idk what does.

A terrible X and O coach..however I fell out of my chair when he played that zone...the team played with heart tonight in a very tough atmosphere especially when the refs are calling everything against you..great job by the players on staying focused...Hubbard was on fire tonight...proud of my team..

What’s the rule when a player fouls out? MS had no timeouts when they had a player foul out and took forever getting another player in. Basically an extra timeout.

What is he talking about? They aren't the youngest team in the country. DJ wasn't shooting 40% from three before his injury. It was 33%. And then he says Reed fouls 3 point shooters. I don't remember him doing that one time this year.

Unless questioned Cal rarely brings up Reed's excellent performance. He praises the other players but not Reed. Like not starting him, I just don't get it. There is no doubt that he has saved or won many games this year but Cal won't give him the credit. Just like how he started this presser, he did not mention Reed until asked and then it was good and bad regarding his performance but how great was Wagner and others?

Great win, made up for the LSU loss. Bigs didn't perform as needed. However, I think Big Z out played the other two. I don't see how you cannot start Shepperd. Dj was not shooting 40% from 3 before his injury. He was 18-58 - just under 33%. He is 2-16 after coming back (0-12 before the game tonight). I really like Dj's toughness and his overall game but what a weird thing to lie about, then again that's what Cal does. There is no need to try and defend yourself or your players, imo. If you want Dj shooting 3s then let him shoot 3's. Every fanbase has couch coaches, why are you explaining yourself to them? Again, I just thought it was a weird thing to lie about.
I do remember DJ having a few good shooting games in a row before his injury. Cal was probably referring to a short, specific stretch of games... not the truth, but not exactly a lie either

UK starts out in the hole at the beginning of the game and the start of the second half because the guys he is starting are not as good as the two players coming off the bench. You play your best players at the start of the game and that doesn't happen. Ray Charles could see that. Reed and Dillingham are both projected lottery picks. Do you think they know what they are talking about.
