    Why are there 13 dislikes? These are two of the most affable musicians/producers you could ever hope to meet.

      They are great. But the film is totally shit. That’s why.

    Those two guys are two of the most well respected producers in electronic music. Your loss if you don't want to learn anything from them.

    These guys have mixed some of the classic albums of our time There is no future without the past. To truly progress you need to see and understand where we have been. Damn I am a philosopher

    besides the fact that these guys are still ahead of the times, that "vintage gear" has so much more depth in its tone than almost any digital synths that are used today. My prediction is that analog will come back.

      Mate, what a fucking twist, it's 2023 and Minimoog is holy grail of synths (AGAIN!), people are begging Roland to do a proper analog reissues of a heritage gear, and people buying Behringer because they want a piece of analog sound, and not because you got your pedal screwed up before gig and you need some temporary plastic cheap ass solution.
      I remember listening to Portishead for the first time 15 years ago and lusting over those sounds, while people around were obsessed with all things digital. 15 years later, nothing beats the workflow and sound of nice analog synth. It's amazing how deep those "limited" devices could take you.

    Wizards! It's a shame they are made to talk about gear, which is rare, expensive & naturally has a high character. Young producers don't want to know about this. Some may misunderstand it as "Good sound is only achievable with expensive gear". Which is FAR from the truth. Go to 8:24 Where Adrian tells you that too much gear hinders creativity, & that you can get something out of a junk shop (or ebay!) & getting as much out of it as possible.
    It's creativity that makes magic, not expensive gear.

    They should have a weekly radio show talking about gear and music production.
    The day politicians are as likeable as these two we are doomed coz we'll vote for them no matter what.

    Wow.. I'm impressed with the Audix Console behind Will Gregory.
    Do you have contact with him?
    I'm looking for the service manual for that console.
    Greetings from Brazil.

    Considering it was gear like this that helped coin the term "future music".....Its more futuristic than you will ever understand.....

    Okay, now I want to hear what Adrian would do with a "pointy-headed Van Halen guitar". XD It seems like the last thing he'd play, but I bet with the right amp and effects (especially that old Echoplex) he'd pull something devious out of it. :)

    Nice blokes, good interview, but crappy camera work and why no closeups of the gear they're talking about?

    • @narcoticstate2127
      @narcoticstate2127 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Probably the Mattel Synsonics Drums, I used to have one back in the early 80's... you can pick em up for less than £50 on eBay...

  • @8-BitHeart79
    @8-BitHeart79 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Then again...I wouldn't mind being doomed to repeat the days of synths like that at the price they use to be. ;0)
    Just call me stuck in the past....
