Why do u give permission in the first place , if u do not have the sufficient mechanism which is police to enforce the law. Even excuse license should not be given blindly, without doing a ground check on residential houses near these bars. Timings are given to ensure law and order, I now with Goa blindly giving permission for liquor after midnight, I things are put of control even for Panchayat, CM, police ..pity the residents.

Maharashtra has banned dance bars. Why do our ministers and politicians encourage dance bars in Goa to spoil our good culture? I hail decision taken by locals to finish dance bars in Calangute. It should happen throughout North Goa coastal belt. It is unsafe for our children and local women. It gives rise to crime.

It is a tragedy that after being liberated from Portuguese colonialism, we Goans have to face such enormouse multiple destructive threats from our own kith and keen and their co-conspirators hellbent on satanising our prize natural assets like our beaches that could earn income and provide employment in perpetuity.
One would hope and expect that under our post liberation era democratic systems of governance and rule of law would prevail but despite, in this case, decades of illegal noise generation disturbing thousands of residents and High Court orders in favour of the victims, the illegalities continue.
The idea that stopping high decibel noise after 10.00 p.m. would destroy tourism in Goa is utter nonsence. On the contary, it will foster ending illegal activities and adoption of a more civilised type of long -lasting tourism that will benefit all Goans who rightfully deserve to earn from their natural assets.
It is widely claimed that the politicians and the police are ineffective in stopping the vices. So, what is left for the Goan to do next? Cintinue with the circus?
