My wife’s grandfather was on the original Corvette design team. He was responsible for the fiberglass body. My father in law had Corvettes on and off. I talked him into buying a C6 when he retired. He owned that when he was diagnosed with terminal cancer. The day we decided he had to go into hospice , he was really upset about things. I asked him how long it had been since he drove the Vette. He didn’t remember. I told him that he would not be a pain in the ass. I would take him out in the Vette the next day. Once we got him into the hospice facility, I told the doctor what my plans were and asked the doctor to do whatever it took so I could take him out in his car. The next day I got his Corvette out and picked him up. We went out and broke some laws that day. He had maybe 12 grandkids that had their drivers license so they each took a turn driving with him. His own son and him were kind of on the outs and they actual reconnected that day in the Vette. Once he passed, I could t afford to buy it so we had to sell it. I sure hope I can win this one so that all the kids have a chance to drive a car that their own blood help create 70 some years ago.

I always enjoy your content, Elliot. Growing up, my dad had (still has) an '85 C4 Corvette - nowadays has around 6,800 miles. Went back to North Carolina (I now live in Arizona) and swapped in a new electric antenna after his stopped working several years ago. Suffice to say, much like yourself, I grew up & love Corvettes for a multitude of reasons - nowadays - I've got a '99 torch red FRC C5 with 18,500 miles... Absolutely love it - as does my wife. With all of these personal variables considered, between you & John Ross, I LOVE the Corvette content, and watch every video you release. Always gives me a smile - keep up the great work!
