Hard to believe no one was paying attention to strange people hanging around and walking into my house. We had several robbery attempts before. People should have been alert and keeping an eye. I have had several things stolen we are so close to Christ coming back please do not allow it to harden your heart. Yes you must forgive even that person. I have had to forgive some very tough situations the point … no devil in hell is going to stop me from forgiving and walking into all The Lord has for me.
Recommend cameras pointed at the drive with AI that can detect vehicles. You can set them up to send an alert to your phone as soon as one is spotted. I really like knowing when a vehicle has arrived. It can also detect human shapes and do the same.

I'm sorry that happened to you Kevin. If I am having anything delivered I make sure I am going to be home when it is so I can go a get it right then. Don't leave it on porch for anyone to see ect. I watch every time I walk out my door I'm looking is anyone around I don't recognize are they sitting a lil to long . So much so my daughter came to me and mom you now have me doing it. I said GOOD!!! You work nights I don't like you walking to car by yourself I want you watching everything everywhere including at home. We were broken into the 2nd year we were here. I had 2 street light poles put in and I now have 3 large dogs. Haven't had a problem in 27 years now. Consider at least one large dog. Back in 1979 I was working on my car outside in the driveway. Late October. Rain trying to turn to snow. I was replacing the clutch. Decided to have a warm drink. Went into the house. In the time it took to bring the water to a boil and pour it, someone did a dash and grab and stole all my tools. I had to borrow tools to put my car back together. Still pi$$es me off.

You didn’t say anything about what color or kind of truck the guy had! I live in a townhome with neighbors I know. My n er my door neighbor has a sicker on his suv that says ‘PURPLE HEART”. I am sure he has a gun and would use it. I always park in my garage so I don’t worry so much about people stealing my car. Having neighbors nearby has its benefits. No crime near me.
I think letting your grass grow out and having junk in your yard keeps people from thinking about stealing from you. I read this somewhere but it makes sense to me . They assume you don’t have anything when they see your yard.
Here in California in my town we found camouflaged cameras. They look like landscape. The police said they do not know who or why they are surveilling us but they have been found all over town. The police said you can look in your own yard and maybe spot them but they could be across the street and you will still be surveilled. Scary times we are living in.

When they steal something and you do nothing! Guess what? That’s right they are coming back! They also know you may have replaced your stuff from your home owners insurance. I can count the many many times i told people this and watched them get the second dose! Make a change! Get the security system! But do something!

Recently someone used our driveway to turn around and they pulled up next to my car and bent the front passenger door and scraped the side of my door and they pushed in my side mirror..'which it folds' but left huge scratch marks and the door is bent in. I wish I had my trail cam on. When I was younger our house was robbed by 3 servicemen in the area. We went to my sister's for Christmas and I took my door knob off of my bedroom door being cautious of my brother and his wife who lived with us thinking that they would go plundering in my room. The men who broke in the house broke my parents bedroom window. It was easy access. They stole my parents silver anniversary items and our TV. No one went into my room. They caught them because my cousin visited us the next day and walked into the woods next to the house and found a plastic wrap tied in a bow to mark the path to the items that they stole. She found out stolen items. The Police staked out our house and caught them. Did any of your cameras catch movement where your mower was?
Report it to LE as happening yesterday others on his route may have experieced the same type thing happening. This could put a stop to it. Check out some pawn shops and E-Bay. The company he "works for" maybe himself.
you got lucky but you should have asked ok where is my packages you delivered and called the police to have trespass charges filed on the driver and might found your mower in his van

Second of all you left that gate open and obviously they were scoping the house for a while now. So that was their time to get in. You have to literally watch everything and it seems like now that they know what you have you're going to have to have an adult home 24 hours a day that you're there. Imagine if you went to the Philippines or wherever it was you said for the winter, they'd Would Rob you blind. About 20+ Years ago We had a John Deere riding lawn mower tractor locked in a small barn and they cut the lock at night and we even traced the tire tracks about a block down right to this particular house. We called the sheriff and they took a report but they said there's nothing they can do about it unless the tractor was on their property in which it wasn't. That's the way the law works it's all for the Crooks. Granted we took care of that many years later and that's all I'll say about that...

But nowadays they all mask up and unless you literally catch them it's hard. You can also fence or barbed wire your entire property although they can get around that also. The bottom line is physical body or bodies on your property 24 hours a day. Whether that's family or actually security guards. One of the first things I would do is no more companies dropping packages off at your house. Get a PO box act like a UPS store and have everything delivered there. Then strangers aren't driving on to your property. Unfortunately everything that I can think of is not 100% foolproof and is going to cost you money to implement. However if you're worth what you say I guess it's a part of life. I would start off with no more package deliveries at the property and have an adult home with knowledge of projectiles at any time of the day. It Sucks no matter how you look at it. Good Luck!

We LOVE dogs! But we travel too much to have them. It's a commitment we can't make, because we travel around the world too much.
