- Introducing "Sunrise", because the night is darkest before the dawn.
My boys and I are launching a fresh phase of our life after the loss of their mother and my wife to a long battle with cancer in 2021. I am raising these boys myself, and am entirely focused on their development and stability. This has been the hardest and most-important thing we have ever been called to do.
As a big part of this, this month, we took delivery of a Winnebago View, a class B+ Sprinter based RV from Winnebago Industries, and we will be returning to our TH-cam channel to share their journeys as new members of the thriving RV community.
Thank you to so @RVSeeingYou, @MattsRvReviews for your support and guidance!
This was a great orientation! The delivery agent did not know 100% of everything perfectly, but he was really knowledgeable. Night and day compared to the lady we had for our orientation today at La Mesa RV.
I am glad to see that you were happy to accept delivery! We had numerous issues with ours today. Missing TV remote. Extra tape left over on outside and inside slide seals. Bottom gallery drawer didn't close flush. White paint steaks on the passenger door frame (which is black). Bent rear passenger side, bumper next to the wet bay. Scratched paint in two places on the back driver's side curved connection to the roof. Chipped paint on the outside frame of the water heater door. Warped side panel on the right side of the shower.
Most of it they claimed was cosmetic and thus not covered. But this only happened after 2 hours of them telling us that they could fix it, but then they couldn't find a tech, likely because they all left for the weekend.
We finally ended up rejecting delivery because of the shady sales practices, poor communication, and refusal to deliver a new vehicle in like-new condition.
I hope that your family has had a great time in your View so far!
Thanks. Yes, cosmetic issues are an issue…. We are tolerating several cosmetic issues that normally we would not be ok with, but we prioritized a fully working rig, delivered after a year of waiting, in an inflationary environment, with compressed supply chains and limited labor. We look past the issues and I focus on the memories and experiences with my boys. The unit works perfectly.
I am so sorry for your loss and applaud your energy and vision for your sons to move forward. I have two boys (men now) similar in age separation though I can't relate to losing a beloved. Our memories of camping are from pop ups at your boys age. You will have many wonderful memories for sure. I am so impressed by your enthusiasm - keep it up even as things start breaking, more real life learning examples. Thanks for sharing and see you on the road!
Thank you for your kind words. I am leaving everything on the field everyday. My focus is saving these boys, and they are saving me. Camping is a strong and powerful focus for us, we are excited about the coming weekend as we camp in Monterey and go whale watching. I love these two with everything I have. Looking forward to sharing with you as we go forward…. Thanks for commenting.
Hi guys, it's Jax from you shuttle and I just wanna say GREAT channel 👌
Beautiful! We didn’t realize the kitchen sink filter wasn’t installed until many months later. I thought we had an extra filter in the box. Enjoy the new rig guys.
BTW, some of your questions to the tech were way about his level 🤣
So there is no filter installed?? The tech was incorrect? I will check it!
And thank you!
@@noahandeliscorner The unit was probably winterized and the filter left out. I had to put my filter in and it was a bear and actually broke the tool to open the filter. Make sure the Wet Bay valve is in the non-winterized position otherwise you can't use your water pump when not on shore power.
I love walk throughs like this. I can see the excitement in the whole family (well maybe dad the most though lol). Enjoy the new RV. Lots of new learning curves.
Thank you. Yes, very excited! And many of our first mods came from your ideas! Thank you for stopping by and for commenting.
@@noahandeliscorner Awesome. You may already know but just in case: bathroom sink drains to black tank-not gray, chassis battery does not charge from the house side without a mod (could tell by voltage from your display panel). The maxfan does not bring air in even with the reverse button on the remote. It will act like it does but the fan will slow to a stop and restart in the same direction. Needs to spin in opposite direction to blow in. Kids get to sleep wherever, and dad gets leftover space. Well that's how it works for me lol.
@@rvlifediy I didn’t know about the black tank connection for the bathroom sink! And I would like to explore the mod to charge the chassis battery. Thank you for sharing!
first
You are definitely first in our book!
The instructor is wrong on a lot of thing he said. I bet he's never been camping or owned a sprinter in his life
