I have a Master KMZ file with approximately 30 layers. The refresh interval under properties-refresh is set to once. When I change that layer to a new data source, will that layer automatically refresh? Also, will it automatically refresh on my coworkers computers that are also using the same Master KMZ? I've never quite understood how network link works with GE.
Kevin Mitchell depends on the data source and how often the own maintains it. If it is a network link that works on your computer then it should work on another.
@@googleearthguru6536 I export the 30 layers from GIS to KML. I save the new KMLs in a folder on our company drive. Then I open the "Master KMZ" and individually set each layers file path to the new data. All of the layers have the green circle for an active network link. The refresh interval is set to once, so I'm hoping that the new data is sent to everyone that uses the Master KMZ. Doing those steps on only my computer, do you think my coworkers will see the new data? Thank you for these videos, subscribed.
Kevin Mitchell the coworkers need to add a network link and the navigate to the kmz you have saved on the network drive. That should work. I will do another video on setting up a your own network link in a few weeks. Good luck.
@GoogleEarthGuru I’m looking to map certain properties using lat/long via Google maps api - Would it be possible to have the property data update quarterly while maintaining the same icon settings? Would I do this via api or kmz or a combination of both? Thanks again for all your help
Thanks
It is possible to apply on basemap updated automaticly
Network link
