The Iowa coach and team are such a class act. I hated that they didn't pull off that final win, but the team can walk away from this loss knowing that they captivated America this entire season. Their outstanding play got them to the Big Dance Final 2 years straight. Great run ladies!!!!

I'm a Clemson fan who followed you the last 2 years. The impact Iowa had on women's basketball is unbelievable. So many people who knew nothing about women's basketball were pulling for you. You changed the sport forever.

I never watched a women’s game in my life. At 47 years old I figured I’d check her out when she was about to break the scoring record. Ended up watching all of their games from there. Fun team, not a single shithead among them.

My favorite player....so much grace off the court, a bulldog on the court, plus being so pretty doesn't hurt. Will miss her so much. She will always be a winner in whatever she does.

I stopped watching all forms of basketball ten years ago. The ladies Hawkeyes made me watch again. All classy and humble people with no tats, attitudes, or egos. I hope the program will continue to be successful and bring in players with talent, character, and hard workmanship. Good luck to the graduating seniors in their future endeavors. Keep your heads up and be proud of what you’ve accomplished.

I love this team and am sooo inspired by them! They are an amazing group of young women! I do, however, have to say, that having a tattoo doesn’t say anything bad about your character. Our beloved Kate Martin has one, in fact! And she’s definitely not the only one on the team.

A truly great year for collegiate women's basketball and coaches. Dawn Staley and Lisa Bluder were both amazing in their post game interviews. I cannot wait until next year to watch the newbies, the sophomores, juniors, and the seniors. Congrats to all the teams and especially thanks for bringing excitement to this 71 year old man. End of an amazing era. It's always hard moving past important moments in your life, especially when you're so young and that's most of who you've been up to that point. This is a beautiful snapshot in time that Gabbie and the entire team can carry for the rest of their lives, and even though it's bittersweet, I'm glad she recognizes the importance of them being together one last time.
Iowa was certainly blessed with a great senior class and team of players.👍🇺🇸🍻

Congratulations to Gabby and the entire Iowa basketball team , coaches, fans ,and school. Having attended a few men's final fours as a fan it's about time that the women's game has received the support and attention it deserves. I gave up on Men's professional basketball years ago when it became obvious that the game really took a back seat to the show. For me, I've been enjoying the much more fundamentally sound women's game for the last twenty years and I think both Iowa and South Carolina coaches have taken their programs to a level that will become the model for years to come. I was sad to see the season end, but I loved every second of ride. Thanks!

Just watching this teams closeness was worth watching them this season & who doesn’t love the way the girls answer questions at press conference .Even after a tough loss don’t have a favorite but Gabby is outstanding as a player & person .
To the whole team from Caitlin to the bench players if u see this! U guys had an amazing run two years in a row. I started watching ur team right before the tournament last season and I instantly became a fan of Caitlin and the crew and this year I didn't miss one single game. I Kno u guys can ball u guys gave ur all! I understand u guys wanted this win but at the same time u guys had an unbelievable season where the whole world watched and heard about u guys and u guys did amazing! I found Iowa Ladies basketball through Caitlin, of course. Kate, Hannah and Gabbie made me truly embrace every aspect of this amazing team. Excellent coaching, excellent game play, and a Stoic determination that makes me proud of what this, once great, nation can become again. Thank you Ladies. It has been an amazing ride, one of my all-time favorites in all sports history.
Are you meaning you want this nation to be all white again? It never was. Ever. There were just time periods where all visible people were white and then there was a token black inserted so it's less obvious that the all white look was construed and not the reality but yes in that context I think I'm so proud Iowa WBB looks like what this once great nation could become once again.

Same here. A good friend is from IA, and I drove her down to the U to the Iowa v. Minnesota game in Feb. I didn't really care much about basketball at all at that point, but I started watching this Iowa team and now I love watching the sport (college level) and I care about these girls as if they were my own! They have so much they should be proud of!
You all have done so much for so many! I have really never watched a women’s basketball game before this year, but I followed and watched so many games from the end of there year through the ncaa tournament. Watching your games was a treat I looked forward to for days, women’s sports is finally getting the attention it deserves. I’m not even from Iowa and I’m so proud and amazed by what you’ve done, two years two national championship appearances. You are a role model to so many girls, you all are! Also, thank you for choosing to pursue a career helping people as a physical therapist.
You're the reason why so many people tuned in to these games. Gabby, Kait, Caitlin - You made millions of people fans of women's basketball with your play. If nothing else, embrace that fact. Nice job on the season. It was a hell of a ride.

These girls not getting that title will leave a gaping hole in my heart for some time. I was pulling so hard for them.
Been an Iowa fan my whole life since my grandparents live in Iowa and my mom went there for college. If they were to lose to any team in the tournament, I’d want it to be South Carolina. Both teams have amazing coaches and players were respect the game and their opponents without being toxic.

I feel bad for Gabbie with the obvious heartache for losing but she and the entire team battled against SC the best they could. SC was just too strong with rebounds and two framing outstanding freshmans who came into the game and did amazing.
