your overwatch content on your channel is definitely better than most. it's MUCH appreciated that you look at other channels and know not to rehash on the same things a million times and make a video that has relatively low fluff. the only criticism that i have is that you should nix your intro. it sounds like the classic, 20-minute-long-video-to-give-a-sentence-long-half-baked-opinion youtuber you know that you are trying to avoid. "sup guys, it's sky" is more than enough. keep the content coming! you're a diamond in the rough of informational overwatch youtube people
I was wondering if you still plan to make an Offense Edition. I enjoyed your perspective and presentation. Its how I already sort of unconsciously think about defense positioning, but you've put it into words. It made it easier for me to evaluate my instinctive thought process.
Came back to watch again and to say that this video has absolutely helped me get my positioning as support under control, as well as the comments made in the Zen VOD. Thanks for the great content!
That Anubis line is arguable IMHO. Mei can block your whole team there with wall or ult, it is also very vulnerable to spammable AOE attacks. Standing somewhere between pillars with supports behind (on the left and right) can provide view to all entrances too.
I was wondering if you are going to make a map attack/defense guide on Hanamura any time soon? I often struggle with breaching the first choke, and defending that same choke, either it be in solo queue or grouped. On attack we many times end up getting slowly worn down because we don't know how to instigate past the choke without getting smashed. Either the Mei wall gets us, or we just get killed before we get anywhere. On defense the enemy team often just waltz right in without us being able to stop them. Do you have any specific tips on how to breach that choke, and how to defend it? I'm high gold rank if that's relevant. Also, I dont expect an answer, but hope you can :)
Could you make a video about how to recover a point when on defense (ie- what to do when the enemy is 1 or 2 ticks away from capturing the point and/or winning / stalling a point capture)? I feel like this is one of the most chaotic events in overwatch and a lot of players scramble with only a comp in mind and little plan to sustain the point. Thanks for the helpful videos! :D
This is simple enough for capture point/payload maps, but how can this be applied to KOTH maps? There are a lot of cases where you simply can't see all the entrances...
And remmember, your team have 6 humans, most of the time, you can use their help to focus in more than one point '-' Sometimes, a "agressive" position is still safe if your team is doing the work (Some heroes, have specific positioning, if you want to master one, watch videos about how to defend on anypoint with them) sorry about bad english, Not a native speaker and I'm sleepy
Does anyone know how he can go into maps by himself and with full camera control? I'm a console player so if this is not available on consoles then I understand, but if there is any way I can explore them like this I would like to know. Thanks!
I don't think it's smart to defend King's Row first point away from the main choke. All the teams I've seen in comp that play far back seem to fail. What happens is that the attacking team can go and take the high ground on the left side, which is very powerful. Or if the team is not very organized (solo-queue play style), this strategy also has the fault of allowing flankers in through the building on right, often resulting in a healer being picked off. Why do you recommend that we hold the line away from that small entrance? It is especially important to me as a Reinhardt main to know this.
If you watch pro games they do not defend at the choke, they hang back like described in the video. If you back up you have vision to see if they are going to the high ground on the left side, or if some one is trying to enter the building on the right and they can be dealt with accordingly. If you stand right at the choke you are vulnerable to snipers from their spawn and from the balcony. If some one jumps out the window and then takes the high ground it will be even more dangerous if they can shoot your backline. I definitely recommend watching pro games and see where they defend on different maps and try to work it into your own gameplay. Just make sure that you're still defending your team as Reinhardt, having the most optimal positioning doesn't mean a thing if no one is behind your shield! :)
You are talking of a team as a one guy who can only look forward. But certain team members (supports as an example) have the freedom to look around and look at directions the rest of the team is not looking which extends team's LOS by a great amount.
Im looking for a ranked Team because Im tired of random soloqueve. I play most of the times Zarya or Roadhog but I can play Genji, Lucio, Mercy and Mccree as well. Im looking for players that are at least Gold ;) Scargent#2507
Will there be an Attack Edition Map Guide Guide?

Insanely useful as always.
I love this video, not only telling me how to position right, but also telling me how to figure a good position on any map.
Nice work ;-)

But if Mei blocks your whole team while you're on that corner, you're still on the point, so they're just stalling themselves...
most useful overwatch channel ever!
Thanks man!
Would love to see the attack version! Great video as always, thanks for your help
how do you draw the line plz help😊❤
What are you using to draw over the video?

Skyline, using math and lines to make you a better overwatch player! Awesome

And now you have a line.
If you made a video for each map, I'd watch them.
Interesting take on Anubis
How do you go into that free roam camera?
Love the LotR reference at the start :D
