No because it’s the truth. I knew that Gabby did not have Covid. Plus if she had Covid at this moment, she would’ve been OK within a week. This is just disgusting. She was the first African-American gymnast to take the all around gold medal. Simone says and they do.

You say Gabby "alleged" she was a victim of Dr Nassar. All of the other girls also alleged it. It is possible that Gaby had to work through some things before she knew it was safe to admit this. There is a lot of psychology going on.
Gabby was one of the girls who did not join the lawsuit. USA Gymnastics was very protective of Nasser. They were known for threatening ladies into not joining the suit.

Gabby's tweet had nothing to do with Larry. It was in response to Aly posing nude for the Sports Illustrated shot. Kinda shady yes but to say she was victim shaming Aly for the Nassar incident is a lie.
@Smielyb2000 - Aly was the captain of the team at one time and did nothing to protect the girls, but when it suited her, big bucks, she lawyered up.
Im not a fan of people pitting these young women against each other. I think Gabby may have made mistakes and it’s okay if she’s learned from it. We’ve all tweeted/ commented/ shared the dumbest crap that we regret later on- we’re just lucky that we’re not famous.

It’s been years since Simone tweeted Gabby and I’m sure they’re both very different people now. I’m not saying it was right of Gabby to say what she did, but it’s not fair to forever hold that over her when she apologized and truly does seem repentant. What an IGNORANT report. Gabby is not only back to the full strength that made her an Olympic All-Around Champion but is ADDING to her skills. The only thing that kept Gabby out of the Rio All Around was the asinine two-per-country rule! She was third in qualifying! Simone is the GOAT and will certainly make the team. The other American ladies, except for Suni Lee (battling health issues) have a weakness on one or more apparatus. Put Gabby on any of them and she will excel. My picks for the Olympic team: Simone, Gabby. Suni (if healthy), Shilese Jones and Skye Blakely. If Suni is out - Trinity Thomas, Kayla DiCello or Leanne Wong.
Gabby is physically healthy and has the Karolyis (although Marta recognized Gabby's superiority and that's why she made the Rio team) and Nasser out of her head. She'll be just fine
Gabby was young and made mistakes but I don't think shaming her and pining her against Biles is just. Plus many victims have been groomed to believe it is their fault and to protect their abusers. I think people need to let these girls focus on gymnastics and stop trying to make villain/hero stories.

Dominique Dawes lit the fire for black women in gymnastics !!! For me, skin color is irrelevant. Youve either got it or you dont !!! Elite gymnastics is also a very expensive sport to get into. Im a 54 yr old white woman who dabbled in gymnastics as a kid and I am thrilled to see todays gymnastics have blossomed to such beauty and skill. Im glad to see that judges are slowly coming around to scoring appropriately, after denying the skill values gymnastics has established. Women's gymnastics have evolved so much and I love seeing all these talented women !!!

Gabby really needed a GOOD PR person on her team to help her navigate in the world of gymnastics and also provide wisdom with the words she chose to speak out against her teammates and also deal with the negative comments hurled at her for her hair, etc. and being black. Such talent was lost because she was unable to actually live up to her potential as a world class gymnast!
I am excited to get to watch Gabby Douglas in Paris. I am also excited to get to watch Simone Biles. These are 2 beautiful gymnasts and I don't want to hear junk talk about either of them. I hope they will both compete safely and do well and that they continue to inspire little girls of all races to take part in gymnastics.

I absolutely believe Gabby's allegations about facing racism in gymnastics. It's been almost exclusively white for eons. I hate that Gabby's achievements seem to be overlooked. As for the environment, I don't think it's as toxic as it was pre 2016. The case against Nassar put a lot of eyes on it and I think that the athletes are demanding better treatment and oversight. Gabby is extremely talented. I would have loved to have seen both her and Simone. Gabby is always welcome by me ❤
