I buy mine from UGA's entymology dept. They study bees, so it's local. It's worth checking, if you live in a college town, to see if they keep- study bees.
Due to the ongoing war I am cooking Soup and freezing it Often. One box of Chicken/Beef/Vegetable Stock is my base. Throwing in lots of chopped vegetables and flavoring. I use Vegeta approx. 1 1/2 teaspoons per pot of soup. When all is said and done I throw it in the freezer. Hot soup is really comforting at every meal or served on its own with a piece of bread. Everyone stay strong and keep stocking up.
Thank you. I went to the store for a haul for the first time in awhile! I went to Albertsons. I had a savings plan but shook my head at prices the whole time. I managed to get $350 for $90, which is great, but I was still shocked what little groceries it really was. If I had l paid full price I'd be crying. Now even more of the store is minus food as they added 4 isles of just alcohol now w Colo new liquor laws. Take care and God bless!
When Aldi has baby Bella mushrooms on sale for 1.29 I buy 4 slice and freeze and store for later use. Much better than canned and they have gotten very expensive anyway.
@@doloreskrisky7710 I have no problem using them in cooking they firm up. They are not good for fresh eating but are great in cooking I use them a lot.
The Aldi I go too and there are 4 around me all within 30-45 mins, was super bare yesterday. Canned goods were low and cake mixes were super low! I suggest when you can buy a flat and put it up!
Danno, just got back from ALDI, picked up some of the deals you mentioned. Thank you for informing us of the deals. You are much appreciated. So glad we have an ALDI’S near us in Lebanon, PENNSYLVANIA.
I have been buying the Kirkwood chicken thighs and I am satisfied. Toss them on a baking sheet, sprits them with some EVOO, S&P and throw them in the oven on 400 degree and check back every 15-20 min until they seem cooked through and crispy skin on top. Delicious, cheap, keeps well and can turn them into just about anything or eat as is!
That Specially Selected raw honey is delightful! I buy local raw honey also, and usually use it medicinally. We have been using Aldi's canned salmon for years and love it. I also like Aldi's Choceur peanut butter cups. They have that same smooth peanut butter filling.
Kraft singles at sam's is $9.68 but it is 72 slices(3pounds=3 packages). buy the same amount at aldi it would cost you $14.84 so it is a better deal at Sam's as long as you can eat that much of it before going bad. Was only $8.26 at sam's less than a year ago for that same 3pound/72 slice singles package
I got to shop at Aldi’s for the first time last month while in Alabama. Not an option here in Colorado. I am now to the place where I have an adequate pantry and freezer stock to get us through any major snow storm, sickness (although we just recovered from our whole household of 2 weeks of covid 3 generations sho hope no more sickness, and should we have a power outage. Inflation is awful, but I have enough now that I will only pick things up we absolutely need in the way of fresh fruits and veggies, and things that are on sale to maintain a comfortable pantry. I am done with doom and gloom. I know it is there, we are as prepared as we possibly can be and will continue to do what we can…..but the conspiracy theories and fear mongering daily is getting to bed too much, although certainly people need to be warned……I have been sufficiently warned and now it just stresses me out. I do not want to live that way any more. I pray for those who have the ability to fix our country to do so. We will vote best we can. We are retired military , husband Navy aviator VietNam era, and our son 13 years Marine during the Gulf War. Yes we have guns. Yes we can use them. Pray to God we never do for anything other than recreation. My parents witnessed Pearl Harbor, we have watched the Korean War. We have witnessed Oklahoma City bombing, the 9/11 horror and flew through airports with armed militia holding serious guns, not smiling or talking to us, and zero tolerance for any even jokes about security, then the Gulf War. We have gone through Boom and Bust. These are potentially the most frightening days we have lived through. But, that is what we are going to do…..live through them.
I live about 8 blocks from one Aldi and not far from a second Aldi so I am always going there. I went to both over the past 2 weeks, or so. I like the TP they sell that’s 9.49 now. Their toilet papers has lowered in cost this month. I use Aldi trash flex bags and aluminum foil too. I bought some of these little Apple looking chocolates Also Aldi has bags of plums and plums are stupidly hard to find in MN. Those stuffed mushrooms are great .The Dill sauce from Aldi is really good too. I put it on chips and on sandwiches.
Has anybody here tried that Morton's beef brisket that Danno pointed out? Did look good, very tempting if I ever get into an aldi anytime soon, just would like a heads up what others thought about it taste wise. thanks for any responses back in advance.
Just letting everyone know that i purchased Cheerios, berry flavored. Man , they are sooo yummy. I t is the huge. Large 20oz box. Got them from the 99c store. Best Cherrios ever! Keep in storage for your kids as snacking food!
Been buying Aldi's paper plates, paper towels, flex trash bags and tp for long time. Was at Meijer in Mooresville IN today for my mom. The only potatoes they had were a few baking potatoes and sweet potatoes. People were buying the .79 apples like crazy. Also my neighbor and I used the Flashfood app in Meijer and got 8 lbs of bananas for $3 we're sharing.
I love the happy harvest small young peas they are EXCELLENT! Those chocolate peanut butter pumpkins looked delicious ❤ Aldi has some yummy 🍫. Did Jess like the teas...which ones were her favorites? Great video Danno!👍
I've noticed drums of oats going up, up, up yet the 25 pound bag of oats at our local Winco remains over a $1 less than they were in March/ April of '22. They were something like $19.98 or $19.89: call it $20 for 25 pounds. Now they are $18.xx, maybe as low as $18.25. I don't pay as much attention 'cause we still have plenty from our 25lb bag. The oats come out of some mill in Montana.
Last week I went to Aldi, shopping was so bare. No eggs, brioche buns, the freezers were empty, almost. I haven't been back yet. I'm having cancer surgery on the 23rd. Had a spot taken off today. I hope you and Jessica are both doing well. Drs apts have been one after the other. I'd be crazy to tell you that I'm not scared. 23rd will be the hard one. Remember to always use sunscreen, summer or winter. I grew up not being informed about screens. Grew up always outside, rain or snow. Summer I was always at the beach. Remember to take care of your skin. It does come back to bite you. Missed you both. ❤❤
I bought lots of Goya dry beans on Amazon this week to jar up, good sale, Publix here in FL has Del Monte canned tomatoes BOGO this week, online order is $1.87 for 2 and Progresso Soup 2 for $3.49.
store brand canned veggies here in VA in both kroger and walmart...mainly the corn have all been rock hard like they were taken right from the cob and put in the can...no matter how long you try cooking them on the stove they stay rock hard...this was over a year ago and i havent felt like wasting more money on them to see if they have changed any
The Brie in the round yellow box is my favorite too. It's expensive but if you compare it to an 8 oz. container of regular cheese spread it's not too bad. Thank you Danno.

Went to Aldi in Rome, GA twice this week. We like their bread much better than the store brands at Kroger. $1.29. We got some bacon $3.99/lb. Their pure cane 4lb. sugar is still $2.95 but we have a good bit plus we got 5 of the Kroger sugar that was on sale last week for 1.99 each. Aldi has some pretty peaches but we didn't get any. I don't remember the price but they had fresh mushrooms at a good price. In general, Aldi has more than doubled the prices on some things we like but there are products that we will buy from Aldi as long as they have them even if they go up.
Good morning Danno andJess! Meat has gone up Sky High! I can't afford to buy it! I made last night for dinner your vegetable soup Canned chicken, thanks Danno for your recipe, delicious
I brought the big one of 500 ft. at sam's last year when my other one finally ran out. wife didn't think we should get another big one because it would probably outlast her but I said it could be the daughter's inheritence then. I also have the 3,000 sq. ft. plastic wrap from sam's. just looked and the date on it is 2001. i beleive i brought them at the same time so my aluminum foil made it 21 years. The plastic wrap is starting to get down there now but it will still last a little while yet. oh, did I mention just the 2 of us here so we don't use much at a time. live in the country and hate running out of things that could easily be prevented like this plus look at how much I saved by buying it 20 years ago versus buying a small one every year. we were big at eating out years ago so things like that lasted us but now the last few years we eat almost every meal at home so we have been using more lately.
These foods may be cheap but you have to be careful with the ingredient content. Mostly the Aldi cereal is bioengineering. Read the label before buying. Aldi does have good buys in their organic foods check them out. Stay blessed!
I mentioned this a couple of days ago but not sure if it was your channel or someone elses. I ran out of mushrooms last week and when i thought about it a few nights ago I decided to go online and see what the mushroom farm hours are and if they have prices posted. found out they went out of business. all the local bars and local restaurants got them from there. now it makes since why I haven't seen their delivery trucks around lately. they have been parked out by the road for sale, i just thought they got new ones instead. so another type of farm is gone, one less to get food at. i hope it doesn't become another solar or wind farm, they have been going thru this area and trying to convince the farmers to quit growing crops and go that route instead.
My husband hates the Boulder trash bags because they do not cling to our trash can and fall in. I think its just our trashcan though. The quality is fine
Hey Danno you do such a good job showing items and prices thank you. Do you think that when you show the whole chickens you could show the price on one so we know the average? Get Kraft singles cheese. Take plastic off part of it. Take a lighter and light it on fire. Yes it will burn and melt like plastic. I did that because it was my favorite cheese. No more
I buy my honey from local bee keepers. The price is a bit higher but I try to support small business.
