Good morning, Dana 🎄😊🎄 I'll start this reply off with Merry Christmas. I hope you and your family had a beautiful one. Watching your video here brought Christmas back for me all over again. It was so charming and I smiled throughout. Seeing all the goodies you picked up, Cova playing in the snow, the cookie baking and even the cleaning part was enjoyable. I'll admit, it's nice to watch someone else do the hard work for a change. Haha 😉 I'm so happy to hear your mother flew in and you had your family gathering despite...the obvious. I too had my mother here for Christmas. I would NOT have had it any other way. Christmas is a time for family and celebrating together. It would have been like not having the tree and decorations out if she weren't with us. In fact, I think Christmas 2020 was one of the best we've had. My partner, mother and I were together. That's what is most important. That in itself was the BEST present! And yes. Santa came to our house and showered us with so many presents that they spilled into the living room floor in all directions. I actually cried when I woke up and saw them all. We had a beautiful day together listening to music, munching, watching Christmas movies and remembering Christmas' past and an incredibly delicious dinner. And - it was cold! YAY! No snow, BUT it was cold and for the first time that I can remember where the a/c wasn't running on Christmas day! Fireplace and heat were going and it was so nice to "pretend" we were back up north for Christmas. It's December 28th, 4 am on a chilly 40's Florida morning. The moon is full and it's so quiet. I'm so very thankful and even more grateful for the blessed holiday season we had. Was 2020 a challenge for us? Of course. But in a way, despite those challenges, I'll choose to remember the good times. The times we spent together as a family. The times we were blessed. The times we told each other, I love you. There's a June Christy Christmas song titled, "Sorry To See You Go." It's about the old year ending and a new year beginning. In a way....may sound crazy to some, but I'll remember 2020 and I'll smile. May the New Year bring us all love, joy, prosperity, comfort and peace. The greatest and highest good for us all. I like to see it and then have it go after few days,lol. Twenty seven in takes too long to disappear. All we have seen is flurries in Missouri so far.
