THANK YOU! I was literally just thinking this, wrote “what about 9’?” in my Black Friday fishing rod list 😂 What species? What region? I’m looking for a rod for float & spinner fishing for Great Lakes steelhead in western PA & NY rivers/tributaries.
@jjfizz333 I have caught trout salmon steelhead largemouth bass and a 4 foot leopard shark on those 9 footers I have, they are good for most fish in most situations
@@humbugvideoswent for the 7ft medium heavy lami glass black inshore series think it will be a good length for my kayak and on shore freshwater bass fishing 🤙great video
i use one for river salmon, ive got rods that cost 3 times as much, st croix gloomis, dobyns ive got the 8'6 with a sahara and this is 100% my goto rod, anyone considering this i would advise you to 100% dont even think about it just try one
@LIVExMoD you're gonna love it, I can't wait for fall to come around so I can get back after the trout and salmon. Seriously such a quality rod for the $ down to the smallest detail.
Great breakdown. And now I want to try one of those rods. Especially since you said "best rod". Now I want to put one head to head against a Dobyn's Fury which I consider the best bang for the buck technique specific rod.
ive got a fury and champ xp, i use this rod for everything from stocker trout, river salmon thats not really a fair comparison, if going for salmon i reach for the lamiglas 10/10 for the price of my champ xp i could have two different actions in this rod for less than the price of one, the fury is kinda weak to be honest and pretty much only use for bass fishing, the fury feels cheap and would def trade it at a price loss just for a different model lamiglas. if youre thinking about getting one just do it, incredible line of rods and for 90-115 bucks its a nooooooo brainer
I have a Lamiglass X11 Medium Heavy 8 foot 6 (LX86MHS) and I LOVE it. I use it for a ton of things. Its perfect for me for very long casts from shore to catch atlantic mackerel with a jig or cast master and also great for striper fishing. However I was looking to get another one, but for the more freshwater fishing. I want one I can cast like small-medium size spoons and spinners really far into the lakes( in Maine). I was looking at either LX 106 MLS or LX 96 MS/LS. What do you think? Id love to hear your thoughts from someone who also loves these rods!
For that type of fishing I'd do anything 7-8 foot, ultralight. I know the X11 has a model like that, but I'd also look into the Okuma Guide Select Pro. My personal favorite!
@@humbugvideos Oh sweet, I’ll check those out. Also one small thing I have noticed about the X11 guides is that they seem pretty low and small, which is not a problem for like 3000 or smaller reels, but above that i have had issues with distance because of the spool size of bigger reels. Am i crazy or does the guides not effect it?
Question for you. I do a lot of fishing for lake trout from shore. That being said I need to get maximum distance to increase my off of finding a laker. I typically throw a 1 ounce kastmaster. Do you think a 9’6” lamiglas with moderate action would work well for this application? Any help is appreciated thanks
Depends on your budget. Low budget I’d recommend Okuma Ceymar, mid budget Shimano Nasci, and higher budget Shimano Stradic. I have reviews videos on my channel of all 3 if you need more information on them as well👍🏽
It depends on what you're going after and what lb test braid you're using. Some fish are bigger and stronger requiring stronger braid, which is larger diameter than lighter and hence put alot more strain / pressure on the guides. I plan to buy one of these to fish for mostly seatrout.
? for you i just bought a Lamiglas xc 564 Graphite certified Pro medium baitcaster would that be good for a jerkbait rod. The jerkbait is a megabass 110
I have 2 9 footers, with no regrets

I like the X-11 that LX 86MHS was hard to get awhile back, plus I like the cork ones. Thanks for the review👊🎣👍
During the heat of Quarantine EVERYTHING was hard to get🤣 glad you enjoyed it, thanks for the reply!
I just heard about these today, I’m getting one for spotted bay bass in so cal to try out, looks like a nice and simple but strong build
That'll be perfect for what your doing. I'm jealous, that's a bucket list fishery for me

I miss my gloomis, I’ve been studying this rod and this is the motivation I needed, time to order 😅

Nice rod
Which rod best on shore fishing for halibut?
I recently bought myself X-11 10’6 rod for steelhead float fishing, what reel would you recommend to pair this rod with ?
Depends on your budget. Low budget I’d recommend Okuma Ceymar, mid budget Shimano Nasci, and higher budget Shimano Stradic. I have reviews videos on my channel of all 3 if you need more information on them as well👍🏽
i use a sahara 2500 on mine but on a 10'6 you might consider a larger reel with more drag and line capacity depending on your drifts, i use an 8'6
Can the guides handle braid line?
Yup, I’ve used lots of braided reels on this!

@@humbugvideos ty was wondering new to this company
You sold me and then you said Washington Steelhead, so what rod do I get now?
What species are you targeting?
@@humbugvideos Mostly coho, chinook, and steelhead salmon
@@MoreEric I would check based off your fishery, but usually an 8’6” Medium Heavy would cover most stuff. That’s what I typically use
I❤ x11

Must be another Chinese rod.
All rods are manufactured in Woodland Washington. Where they get their parts from idk, but they’re based in the US
