Yarn Pom Pom Making by Hand with Glue for Crocheted Hat

- How to keep pom poms from falling apart? Try this. Another idea for making a pom pom by hand with glue for crocheted hat.
Instead of making 150 wraps of loops & tie it together to make a pom pom, I made three 50 wraps unfinished pom pom, glue and tie it together. I put glue on the knot. Trim the excess yarn around. I also filled with glue under and around the knot to secure.
Yarn used: Medium 4 weight yarn, 100% acrylic.

I used US terms crochet stitches.

I have a question... can Pom Poms like these be washed in a washing machine after it has been attached to a hat? What do you think is the best way to attach one to a hat, glueing or sewing or a combination of both?
Hi, I think that's a great idea to do both to attach. I Always just tie it to the hat securely and weave in the ends.. So far No problem. But I Have not tried washing it in a washing machine.
I make 100+ hats a year, and I usually attach the pom-poms (or tassels) loosely by threading each end through a different spot at the crown, then tying them together inside. I leave a length of yarn, as well, so recipients can remove the pom-poms or lengthen the ties to make them hang lower on the hat. I hope that helps!
This is the exact color I need to match my bedding and walmart only had a greenish teal color. Can you please tell me where you bought it and/or the color name? I'd be so grateful!
