Great energy in this video. I knew you were a fun girl..but you really turned on your positive energy with your charm. Delightful. Honestly, one of your best productions to date. Just say'n..hahah..thank you.
We love SB! We crossed paths with you at Santa Cruz Island, and then spent three weeks in SB doing much the same as you: Surfing the harbor entrance break (didn’t fully work for us either), catching the last concert of the summer, we jumped into a Wet Wednesday race with the yacht club, and had a blast down town. Agreed that if someone told me I MUST live in SB, I think I would be okay with that. This was a lot of fun to watch a place that we love experienced through a new set of eyes. Stoked you had a good time, and best of luck down in MX!
Was the bike a credit card rental or free? Here in Portland Oregon there have been several free bike programs but all have ended badly. Now public bikes are available for a fee. Anyway I hope there is a free bike program out there somewhere and SB seems like a good place. Thanks!
They’re called Andis. I did not get top of the line because I was quite sure Bruce’s hair would break them but they lasted. They get VERY hot when I use them but they did his whole coat without breaks and that took a good hour and a half. They got the job done so I’ll take it but I’ll be surprised if they don’t break in the next 3 or 4 cuts
Hey Ali, another excellent episode, I ran across a video on cutting a golden retrievers hair. As an owner of a labradoodle, I am always trimming Finnigan to keep his coat clean, desanded and burr free. I found out that you shouldn’t cut a Goldens hair, as it is actually used to regulate the heat and prevent sunburn. I always thought the shorter the better, but maybe not so much, do your own research but that had me worried that I was trimming Finnigan far too much. Hope it all goes well in Santa Barbara and Ventura, I’ve been watching from the beginning and think you guys are leaps and bounds better than navigating your way to PrincessLuisa Inlet on your phones! Yikes. Scary stuff. All the best on your adventure to Mexico or the Baha Peninsula. Or is it the Sea of Cortez? Cheers Doug from Vancouver
Thanks Doug! That means a lot! As embarrassing as those initial trips are on camera, it’s nice to see some progress Haha I’ll definitely look into it some more, the vet we spoke with said if I don’t cut the “undercoat” he should be fine as that’s what does the regulating and sun burn prevention. I didn’t go lower than a level 4 on the clippers if that helps and he seems happy! I think of it as a haircut rather than a shaving. We are currently heading down the coast of baja! Not certain if we will navigate the sea yet or head to the mainland. Thanks for sticking with us for so long Doug! Say hi to the labradoodle for me
Hey! The hike was way too much for him. 2 miles up and 4 down he would have laid down and refused to get up after 2 😂 he can climb the companionway on his own, but if I’m helping or if he’s getting on via the side, he puts his front feet up and I lift his back feet. Essentially I give him a boost
@@BreakingWavesSailing Thanks Alie, that episode was really cool, u seemed to be really chilled and happy. Thanks for replying, made me feel special. Hugs for Bruce.🌈🌟🐕🇨🇦🇦🇺
I knew you two were closet skinny dippers!! Your current attire should stand you in good stead from here on out. The need for outer garments will be when you can no longer stand temps below 65. You will no longer be Canadians, you will have just been born there.😎
I was born & raised in southern California you can not beat the weather there all that sunshine with no humidity! Beautiful...
Love your excitement and zest for life.
Looks like you're having a blast.... envious!!!
Your complete exuberance is shining through - long may your adventures continue 😊👍
Nicely done.

What dog clippers did you get and what’s your opinion of them?

Ali why not take Bruce for the hike,? Is he too old, and how do u get him up out of the companion way? Hes a big dog. 🌈

Just a piece of advice. Always wear you flip flops in public showers.
Trust me.
I had to stop watching because of the noise in the background. It was giving me a headache.

La mujer que querrías para una tormenta.... ironía...
