If you haven't seen it, checkout the live performance of Pop/Stars from LoL Worlds 2018, it is epic. Plus, (G)I-idle are performing both "The Baddest" and "Pop/Stars" on their current "I am Free-ty" world tour, with Minnie, Yugi and Shuhua sharing Madison's and Jaira's lines.
K/DA Pop/Stars was actually my starting point for KPop. I was so happy that (G)I-DLE added it to the songs during their ongoing tour (was there 2 days ago). After listening to Pop/Stars I had to check out the artists singing. From there the list of groups was growing rapidly...(G)I-DLE, Chung Ha, Dreamcatcher, Everglow, aespa, Purple Kiss, Billie, Loona, Rolling Quartz, AleXa, Mamamoo, IVE, Kard, ATEEZ, NCT Dream, AB6IX, Red Velvet, etc. and I was lucky to see some of them already live on stage (some multiple times: Dreamcatcher + (G)I-DLE).
That was my introduction to K-pop too. Mine went (g)idle, black pink, stray kids and that was where I got hooked and fell down the K-pop rabbit hole… Soyeon I’m sure has recruited many K-pop fans through her Akali raps 🔥🔥🔥
@@NemosNotes 😀 Yes, it's basically the fault of gaming company getting bored and starting a "side business" producing music + great animated music videos. Soyeon is quite "special" when you look what she was able to pull of over the years. 👍 It's too bad that the (G)I-DLE members were not able to prevent Soojin from leaving (forced by cube or not). It still breaks my heart that something that might or might not have happened while still in school before the training part even began kills your dream and future (8+ years later). My impression always was that Soojin was quite shy which makes it even harder to think the accusation's where valid. I know it is a hot topic in Korea but in other countries this would never had this impact on the group.

Miyeon is (G)I-dle's pretty princess... She knows it and can't hide it. Uh-Oh is, I think, possibly still my favorite (G)I-dle song. Naturally, it has a lot of competition... (G)I-dle has so many good songs. The plot of the 'I Do' MV is literally the same as the movie "ET the Extra Terrestrial". With the minor twist that the Alien is (G)I-dle and shape-shifts between the members. My favorite thing about "Giants" was how excited Soyeon was to meet and work with Becky G. As others have said, "The Baddest" is the other K/DA song that features Soyeon. There's so much I could say about K/DA... But I don't want to write a textbook and I'm not sure where to start... so... I think I won't. Fun fact, though, Soyeon and Miyeon played a few games of LoL on opposing teams... Soyeon played Akali and assassinated Miyeon's character... a... few... times.
IN MY LIFE, I HAVE SEEN SO MANY POP/STARS REACTIONS. They all pause at the exact same place right before the rap to compliment the song and it's always so funny to me
I know we mostly here for G-Idle, but you got to give it to Riot Games the League of Legends creators, that their music competes to the most things that play on the radio these days, you could check more of their stuff in future
To be clear, KDA don't "feature" or "include" Idle, Soyeon and Miyeon are part of KDA the same as the others. In fact, they're doing KDA songs on their tours, so they have full rights to them (otherwise Riot would sue them into oblivion, or at least not work with them anymore).
as for the covers i recommend you to watch "nothing" by minnie and i really love ost for "coco" by minnie too and "flowers" by yuqi!! all of these covers (and the others) you can find on their official channel and of course you should watch leemujin service with minnie, yuqi and miyeon (these are incredible)
