To pay another $1400.00 to $1500.00 for only 4 extra miles seems pretty insane to me. On the other hand, if you haven't bought an Emove yet, I can see why someone would want to purchase a new one. Also, Chuck or Paul, I think you need to retitle this video. An adrenaline junkie or someone who simply likes to go fast, will not find 30 MPH fast enough. A better title would be "The Only Scooter The Average Commuter Will Ever Need" or The Only Scooter Most People Will Ever Need." A bit more accurate in my opinion. Chuck, it's outrageous that Voro charges $89.00 to install a thumb throttle instead of a trigger throttle. Why the industry settled on the trigger throttle being the standard throttle is beyond me. The thumb throttle is more ergonomic and safer in my opinion. There's a reason why Weped & Rion use thumb throttles for their fastest scooters. It's simply safer. I wish you would contact Voro Motors about this. The use of trigger throttles being the standard, the use of tubed tires still being the standard(Apollo) and the continued use of tires smaller than 10 inches are my biggest gripes with the industry.
I don’t think it’s worth it, there’s nothing revolutionary (except maybe the strong waterproof rating) that can reasonably justify the $3500 USD price tag. But that’s my opinion, without riding it for myself I can’t say for sure.
Just the fact they put a bigger motor on it and kept the price the same is pretty cool!! I’m 54 and 30 mph standing up is plenty of speed for me!! Great video Chuck and Great Scooter Voromotors!!!
I have this cruiser and I LOVE it! So stable, comfortable, zippy, nimble and powerful! I’m 140 pounds and can get it to 35 mph on a flat on a full battery! This scooter has everything I could ever possibly need, I guess the only other scooter I would get, would be one for off roading! Although the cruiser has no problem on dirt trails!
@@Stevioslawgeek1979 Just swap out the 25a controller for a 30a or 35a. They use a 25a for increased range but I'd rather lose some miles for a much quicker scooter
I've spent probably 30 hours researching every model top to bottom features power price etc etc etc..... what tipped me to purchase this Emove cruiser was the fact they raised the constant power which increased top speed and the tubeless tires that was 10" and its a nice kicker that one if THE most important parts (the battery) is a name brand high end cell. That peace of mind is great. Love my cruiser
Does this scooter replace your car? I DoorDash and it takes me about $110 to fill up and it’s only gonna get MORE expensive. This e move cruiser seems like the best option for the money and with it, I feel like I would save an EMENSE amount of Money 💵. Thoughts?
Love the vote of confidence on this scooter, I've been scanning now for 2 weeks all over even checked Alibaba to varla and dualtron just everywhere. You listed some great points, I'd just add that you need to have an idea what you are getting the scooter for and that you can always do some upgrade like cha going the display or getting different tires. But because I have seen your comment I know this will be the scooter I'm getting. Thanks for reading my comment and I appreciate yours. Good day
I DON'T HAVE A CAR BUT MY EMOVE CRUISER I CAN DO A 40 MILE RIDE IN SPEED MODE 2 AND STILL HAVE 55% BATTERY LEFT. THE SCOOTER HAS GOOD SPEED AND GREAT RANGE FOR THE PRICE. AND HAS A NICE RIDE & LARGE DECK. AND GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE.
The emove cruiser was full of problems and quality issues. Blogs on reddit are full of unhappy customers, terrible customer service etc. As someone who now is at his 4th e-scooter, I'd love to hear about durability, reliability of various scooters after a year and even 2. Would love a special post from you guys on this.
@@williamk9881 I’ve had two scooters, got almost 1000miles on my Ninebot Max without a single issue. The Emove Cruiser had major issue after major issue in 7 miles so got rid of it. It even just felt janky and not made to last.
Enjoyed the video. I bounce and jive on the deck of the cruiser too. It's big enough too. 30mph is all I need in speed to keep up with traffic on the roads. Its all the scooter I need. Love my orange emove cruiser
For as great as these beasts are, I wish you'd do some coverage for the upcoming travelers wanting to bring a scooter cross the US/Europe on trains and such. Smallest, sturdiest and most foldable without falling apart.
Thanks for the comment Michael! Here is a showdown between two of our favorite, high-quality Ultra-portable scooters. -Paul th-cam.com/video/gihzHiSFQQM/w-d-xo.html
do you think you guys can address the customer service issues voromotors is....doing to them selves right now? I think it is very important that a channel as important as yours speaks out about something like this because I was very new to scooters and just recently found out about these customer service issues whereas I was almost a victim to it just like a lot of people.
Thanks Zachary. This is a good idea. I'm not sure what's going on, because not long ago I heard nothing but good things, and lately it seems like they are really struggling at keeping on top of customer service. -Paul
Okay, damn it, I bought one. I have a serious addiction problem. Watching Electric Scooter Guide is like going to a bar when you have a drinking problem. I bought the Emove over the Apollo Ghost mainly because of the difference in tires. Tubed vs tubeless. Take note, Apollo. I only weigh 150 pounds. I'm hoping I can get it up to 32 MPH. If Voro Motors hadn't increased the top speed to at least 30, I wouldn't have bought it. So, yes, it was important they raised the top speed.
You picked well! I’m 140 pounds and can get to 35 mph on a flat on a full battery! Top speed is very important for me as well, safer on the roads to keep up with traffic, and just more fun
@@seleneperez7322 Selene, even if the scooter is off by 1 mile and you are only going 34, I should be able to get it up to 32. Thanks for the response. I'm really interested in seeing how high it will go. I always take 1 mile off whatever the scooter says I'm going.
@@joshuab360 Joshua the good news is that I verify my speed through gps! Cause you’re absolutely right, the speedometer on the scooter is around 1 to 2 mph slower ! The other thing that probably influences my top speed is that I’m sitting down haha! So more aerodynamic. I bet you can get it to 32 on a full battery! Please keep me posted! 💪😉
As an owner of an EMOVE cruiser I LOVE IT! Been riding it for commutes like going to the gym or small grocery shopping. Had it for 3 months now. This is my first scooter as well! I chose this scooter mainly for battery life. I can agree with all of these statements in the video
My first and only E-Scooter is an GoTrax that I do love. First one i've owned, but this being able to go 4X longer on a battery with 2-3X Charging time (4-5hrs compared to 9-12hrs). For aprox 4X the price (about $2K Canadian, to about $550C for my Gotrax). I'd say this is worth it to get MUCH longer than having even if i only take it about to work and back as many places won't let me take it in and I don't drive. Also love the colors!
I think a very good idea so more people understand why buying a escorter rather then renting one would be to review the most common rental scooters , like the bird scooters, and test them and compare them to other brands
Thanks for the suggestion Santi! This is definitely on my list of things to do. I have run repair warhouses for two different sharing companies, so this would be really fun for me to do! -Paul
For me this is almost the perfect scooter, as a Uk resident where weather and road quality is poor the ip rating and tubeless tyres are a big plus. Only worry I would have is the sheer amount of maintenance due to all the bolts this thing has that I have heard come loose and need to be checked regularly. The cruiser really is missing decent front lighting and indicators. There is a break light on the back fender so the deck corner break lights don’t need to be there with a tiny orange blinker u can’t see. They need to Make the whole light fitting orange and use a brighter light inside. Front deck lighting is great but they should be building into the scooter a higher mounted more powerful front light and installing indicators on the front ideally on the handlebars (I mean the rental companies have already done this to theirs to appease safety concerns so why isn’t emove and the other manufacturers copying this to work against the negative points anti scooter ppl point out to governments as reasons to ban them) The other issue is this upping of power and top speed arms race every scooter manufacturer seems to be getting involved in. In Europe at least most countries dictate a watts limit and a speed limit of 15.5mph which could render the cruiser illegal in most countries! So love the scooter but is it overkill if you end up limited to 15.5mph 🤷♀️ on the other hand at that speed the range would be epic! 😂
I honestly think we are less safe in the EU with those regulations because then we can't keep with traffic flow and we are viewed by drivers as an obstacle rather than just another road user. Seeing as cars kill the vast majority of people who die on our roads, more cars overtaking you = more danger. Those watt limits also make them less usable to a lower number of people because if you intend to use them in hilly areas, windy weather, are a heavier person or intend to use it for shopping trips then the low watt motors just won't be capable of carrying the weight or fighting gravity/the wind. Weak motors can also cause you to suddenly and drastically slow down when you and/or other road users aren't expecting it creating dangerous situations. I honestly believe EU regulators are handicapping light, affordable EV tech on purpose to appease the oil, bike and car lobbies... so I for one will happily be ignoring those laws. The correct approach to legislation is much like what we have done with cars - training riders, testing and licensing them. I have no idea why regulators are now suddenly trying to reinvent the wheel when we already know how to reduce deaths. You train the person how to be safe at reasonable speeds, not limit them to speeds lower than bicycles or equal to running speeds. These are motor driven vehicles that we should want to replace combustion vehicles with, we cannot do that if regulations make a regular bicycle + car combo a more attractive option.
@@thedejectedape953 don’t get me wrong I agree with all you just said, I think 15.5mph is too low, at that speed normal bike and ebike users will get annoyed having to go around you aswell! Ideally I would like to see at least 20mph the top limit in line with the lowest speed limit not just for scooters but ebike assistance cut out aswell for any bike line, cycle way or road with a 1000 watt limit. Anything with more power should be treated like a car and require a rider to use only the road, have a licence, register etc. if u have to go further in this bracket and demand minimum tyre size, suspension, certain level lighting etc then so be it. Getting to the point where so many scooters that go over 15.5mph are being sold that even if that speed limit was made law 1000’s of ppl per year would still ride their powerful stuff anyway, they broke rules now so they will continue to! Longer the Uk government wait to legalise and have this sorted the bigger the problem they are creating for themselves. Most of us can’t afford an electric car even used so car manufacturers going all electric won’t mean as much effect on our climate, the PEV is the solution for the masses to ditch their combustion vehicle like it or not 🤷♀️
I've owned a cruiser for 6 months and today it went out with the weekly trash pick up.... Serious stem wobble, worthless bolts... Storage case and rear fender both snapped off. No, I'm not off roading. Las Vegas street riding. Hit the occasional puddle or want to clean it? Don't! Controller gets a drop of water on it and you go nowhere for a day. I've had water reset my settings, turn the scooter off when applying brakes, lose cruise control, and the best was the motor turning while at a stop. Lemme see, what else.. oh yeah the brake light wire under the rear fender will get damaged from raod debris. If one of the 3 wires inside the cable gets knocked then the scooter shuts off. Please spend your hard earned money on another scooter. And whatever you do, don't buy from voro motors. July 8 I bought a wolf warrior 11. Was told I had the last one in stock. A week later they say it'll be 6-8 weeks. After 8 weeks ( aug 6th ish) I'm told it'll be oct/nov.... Voro motors and Emove Cruiser are both completely and entirely worthless
Concur. Two year daily driver. Just street riding with the occasional curb jump. Stem wobble gets worse with time. Hinge bolt broke. Folding mechanism is stuck. All four rear fender bolts came loose. Have to keep tightening the screws for the light. Turn signal is pathetic. New version looks to be about the same design.
This is one of my considerations for a second scooter. My personal preference would be to delete the low spotlight in favor of stem and under deck lighting, just to be seen. Then i would add a bar spot/flood light with real lumens for the road ahead. Turn signals are nice but i wouldn’t count on a car seeing my signals, daytime is too bright and nighttime in nyc they’ll get lost in the plethora of lights everywhere. Plus needing to turn off the distracting signal beeping is unnecessary as it could turn off automatically after say 5 times. Safer to just wait for a clearance to turn. 59 lbs is a little heavy to carry up two flights. I would like two built-in trolley wheels at the front of the deck to avoid the unfolding or full weight carrying between flights of stairs. Thanks for the review, it is still a favorite next scooter for so many good reasons.
This scooter is almost the same thing as the evercross. A few more features and a slightly bigger motor. I completely agree with you about the turn signals. You have to understand the limitations of these scooters. I usually stay to the right and look over my shoulder and move when it’s clear. And let’s not forget, in NYshity, your turn signals actually work against you. People behind you see the signal and speed up so you can’t get in. 😂😂😂
Hi If you get strong boom every time you hit something Especially in the old front fender Its actally manufacture folt if you look the fender is on top off 2 silver washer you need to remove them You may need Shorter screws the suspension Hitting it and Breaks it plus you get more suspension for rear fender use loctite on 4 screw so its not jumping
@Electric Scooter Guide Completely disregard the waterproof rating. Treat this scooter like it's IPX4 (splashes of water). I've disassembled this scooter and trust me, it is not anywhere near the IPX6 rating they claim on their website, or the "IP67" rating - they lie and say they have an "actual lab testing cert" for IP67, which would mean submerging the entire scooter in 1m deep water for 30 mins, which is obviously not possible. This claim is in the comments for your Cruiser video from last year if you're curious.
With the lithium-patriot you really need more than one because even if it has stealth capabilities( You can hide it in a carry-on bag) but, you can not do dirt roads like the rescue-Markv12 can
I've had my cruiser for about a month and have yet to get 400km total on the thing but I've already gotten a flat front tire and lost one of the nuts on the front axle, which fell off somewhere mid-ride on my way to pick up some locktite to fix the constantly-loosening axle nuts (irony at it's finest). And its ~80$CAD for shipping on anything through Voro motors (I live in NB Canada) and I wasn't prepared to spend 100$ total on a replacement nut so I went down to the hardware store and found myself some uncapped nuts (for 2$ btw) and put that on, I've got mismatched axle nuts now but whatever, literally cost 1/50 of what it would have through Voro. Same thing with tire sealant, I had to find some for myself or else it would have cost 120$CAD to order through Voro. I wish I had known that locktite and tire sealent are *****REQUIRED***** for owning an electric scooter, having those 2 things would have saved me alot of the headaches i've had with this scooter. Maybe it's just me, but I've spent 2350$CAD on my scooter and I would like it to be useable with what comes in the box. Why can't scooters come with a little bottle of them, it makes no sense to me. When it's running though, the scooter is awesome. I bought it for it's stellar range/IPX6 rating/45km/h top speed and in my sleepy little town, the key-lock is all the anti-theft I need for most of my rides so it's really convenient for me as well. When I'm actually able to ride the scooter and I'm not worried about the thing falling apart and literally killing me mid-ride, It's an absolute blast.
The EMOVE Cruiser looks very similar to the Bezior S1 (1,000W) - I'm fortunate enough to have one. In a word - GREAT! Must say; I stepped-down the battery output resulting in 25kph max (for both safety and legal reasons [here in Ireland - they'll be road legal later this year]) - besides, 25kph is perfectly adequate for commuting, imho. Another great review - thank you.
At almost 60 lbs., It's pretty heavy to take up stairs - my wife definitely wouldn't be able to lift it for long (if at all). I'd love to see scooter-weight comparison charts between brands in the reviews.
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide thanks paul, portability is extremely important in many urban situations where scooters really shine and 2 to 4 story walk ups is very real.
What about the dual tron Mini You guys need to do a comparison with that scooter it's a single motor scooter also almost the same price point $1500 good range
We're planning to review that one soon. It's a gorgeous scooter, and also available from Voro. The battery on the Cruiser is 50% larger than the Mini, but I'll bet the Mini still has tons of range. We're looking forward to testing it and finding out! -Paul
I'm sooo close to pulling the trigger between either the Cruiser or the Uscooter Booster V. The Cruiser seems like a great investment since it does almost EVERYTHING, but I need to take the bus a lot or enter my workplace with my scooter, so the Booster's portability/weight is such a massive plus for my personal lifestyle and I can get it for almost half the price.
@@e-guy8259 So I got the cruiser over the booster. As much as im enjoying it, i severely under-estimated how much the extra weight of the cruiser was going to factor into my use of it. Don't get me wrong, the range on the thing is insaaane, and taking it for long trips without having to worry about the battery is fantastic. It's also comfortable to ride. But I won't be taking this thing on the bus or what-have-you anytime soon. It's really a pain to move around. Even taking it up and down my stairs to the apartment sucks, and makes me think twice about going to the store with it. I don't think it's very comfortable to pick up either, and I find it very awkward even with the grab handle attachment. If you work out though unlike me, might not be a big deal. If mobility and portability are important, i think the booster might be the way to go (though i say that without having any experience using it). TLDR: The cruiser is definitely a range beast, but I absolutely hate carrying this thing.
I now have 1,550 miles on my Emove Cruiser It's been great love the range and the speed is decent can get it up to 33mph so I am happy so far. I will see how well it is in a year or so.
Genuinely impressed you're still replying to comments so I have to know: why don't you ever acknowledge that the Emove scooters have a reputation outside of youtube (primarily reddit) for having very poor Quality Control? On top of the fact that Voro Motors also has a bad rep? Hoping my comment doesn't come off as too aggressive, just not sure why no youtube channels have even mentioned so many peoples issues with these things.
We do not read Reddit to be honest! As a whole in the scooter world voro motors has a excellent reputation. They sell tens of thousands of scooters a year and unfortunately with social media the bad always gets amplified but the good rarely gets noticed. They are a solid company that is for sure. One of the best.
Lovely video. Thank you. Great review, grateful for you to take time and do this for all of us needing some pointers and help understanding the scooter world.
Stem wobble is better than almost all Titan Variants (scooters that look like this one), but not as good as some modern scoots like the Phantom or Vsett 10+. It's not very noticeable though, since it's not an arm-yanking dual motor scooter. Powerful dual motor scooters are the ones where I really notice every tiny amount of flex in the stem, if it's there. -Paul
I just bought one two days ago! Love it so far but the range these guys mention is to a fully depleted battery I assume which is not recommended from what I've read. I'm at 43.1 miles, 49.9 volts and 2 bars. I'm 176lbs. I'm heading back home to charge it as it dips into 1 bar while riding. I'm still very happy with these figures so please don't think I'm complaining, I'm just trying to get a realistic and safe range to work with so I keep the battery in tip top condition. Any help and experience greatly appreciated.
It will only get 60 miles of range on a lower power mode where top speed is 20mph. 500w(20mph) would take 3 hours to drain 1.5kw battery so you are only gonna get 60 miles of range at 20mph over 3 hours. i rather just drive it at 30mph and understand you got 40-45 miles range. really when these budget scooters have 40mph top speed(dual 1000w motors) with 3kw battery(2x current size) in like 2-3 years that's gonna be an awesome spec.
Not sure if the loss of 3 miles of range is worth an average of 1mph faster speeds. To be honest, I really don't think Emove Cruiser owners care that much about speed. 25-27mph is just fine in my opinion and the primary reason for buying a Cruiser is RANGE, RANGE, RANGE. So, the fact that it gets less range is disappointing. Nice new front fender. The upgrade I would have liked to see is a slight reduction in price :) As always, a great review!
I own an Emove Cruiser and would love to have the extra speed. I'm not going to upgrade for it, but do realize that it's probably closer to a 5 mph difference at top speed. I'm not a small guy, so my cruiser only goes about 24 mph as a top speed on a long straightaway with 75%+ battery left and can't sustain much more than 20-21mph for an extended period of time even at that charge on level ground. At 50% charge, expect significantly slower speed with a top burst speed around 20mph and sustained 18mph. Even 'normal' hills typically cut all of those numbers in half. If all of these increased by 15% or so (as appears to be the case), I would be pretty happy. I do agree that you won't actually be able to average much above 20mph in any city commute without being dangerous or a jerk. Technically a Segway Max would probably function similarly for efficient travel, but not be nearly as fun or capable up hills.
I have both, stick with the ninebot if you want a hassle free scooter. My emove cruiser has had issues from day one, especially if you get any water near it. The ninebot wont win the spec sheet battle, but its dependable and as a commuter that's super important!
I was hoping all summer for a comparison between the new Cruiser and the Explore! Really appreciate it and my decision is lot easier now. Seems like nearly perfect commuter scooter and I just wish you could have the box and the seat installed at the same time. That's just extra though!
Good point! Both use the same mounting points. It's really good that they put the seat so close to the rear wheel. Makes all the difference in seated handling! -Paul
I have had no Emove Cruiser for almost a week. It's great more powerful than I was thinking. I just added the grab handle and storage trunk. Only 47 miles on it now.
Just caught your comprehensive review of this nice model. I am new to electric scooters and probably spent dozens of hours reviewing my first model for me and the wife. We were pretty sure on the Hiboy S2 pro but these scooters are getting faster, cheaper and better mileage as time goes on. Probably don't need anything this fast as we just want an alternative form of transportation when we take the RV out as scooters are lightweight and easy foldable compared to e bikes or motorcycles
@@-NateTheGreat after that post I kept looking around and found a 1000 watt scooter with lithium batteries called the blaze for $699.. its very nice as my first introduction to this market. Will be looking for a 2nd different one for my wife
It is something they are known for, but you're also the second one to mention this in the last couple days. My guess is that because we're in absolute peak scooter season right now, that the scooter companies aren't able to keep up with responding the way they have been in the off-season, or even in peak season in other years. I know Melvin, the owner cares a lot about the customer base and over all reputation of the brand. Hopefully they can grow their staff fast enough to get on top of whatever is going on. There are other very large companies that I have "tested" reaching out to several times with email messages, and even let them know that I was from ESG and was testing them the second time around. Never heard back. Customer service is really important if the scooter industry wants people to be returning customers and not just have a bad experience with their first scooter and move on. -Paul
This scooter could handle it, just easily swap out the controller for a 30 or 35a controller. They use a 25a controller because they want the extra miles. But if you want a quicker scooter, upgrade the controller which is super cheap
Varla eagle has this scooter beat. Varla easily gets over 30 mph and is easier to fold. The range on the cruiser is insane, but I personally like having a scooter that can get close to 40mph. It just means there's more power available.
With the exception of the impossible to install "sport handle bar" all of these accessories really need to come standard at the moment. If I can buy a perfectly good modest scooter for under $200 bucks which anyone can at the moment what is the point of spending all that extra money? Anyhow great review but clearly the Industry needs to expand far more aggressively inside the United States so that a dealership model can be developed thus creating more professional feedback "to keep those wheels turning." In the meantime actual pure bev motorcycles are starting to appear at this price point soooo..
Paul once said that the Explore was the only single motor scooter that came close to feeling like a dual motor. Would you say this is comparable and is as fun to ride as the Explore?
oooooh, this is a great question Matthew! I think the Explore is just a little more fun. I still feel like I can thrash around on the Explore, where it feels slightly out of place to jump the cruiser off of curbs and skid the rear tire sideways to stop the way I sometimes like to do on the Explore. Both are excellent scooters though. -Paul
Thanks for this excellent video. The new emove cruiser checks all the boxes for my first scooter. I just have one question. If the battery should die during a ride can the scooter be ridden like a manual scooter or will the motor cause too much drag?
The trunk has a problem fitting on the 2021 model. Lots of complaints on the voro Facebook page and I've personally experienced issues with it. The support brackets hit the breaks and the trunk itself slams against the fender on every bump. Disappointing that they told it like that.
Thanks for the feedback! While I road tested the other parts. I didn't get a chance to road-test the luggage! I just re-installed it today after reading the comments, and I can see what you're talking about. For the time being, I'm going to recommend that everyone hold off on this option. For today's test-intall, I slid all of the mounting brackets to the highest positions and test rode it. The luggage itself clears during normal suspension travel for 160lb rider weight, but should really have more clearance. The section of the bracket that contacts the brake caliper doesn't clear while riding, without completely folding the bottom tab of the luggage bracket over, or taking off that lower tab with a dremel, and that's certainly not good enough. I'll reach out to Voro and recommend that they update or discontinue immediately. No point in selling something that just makes people unhappy. -Paul
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide As someone thinking about picking this scooter up partly for the trunk, do you guys know if they've updated it yet? Looks real cool otherwise
I just wish it was dual 1000w motors so you could hit 40mph if needed. besides the top speed being a little low it is by far the best bang for the buck e-scooter. if you have more money to spend the best bang for the buck at high end is Nami Burn E2.
I have an orange 2021 Cruiser (Cheetos) and I'm 5'4 and 130 lbs and I go up steep hills in first gear at 23 mph. On the flats with no one around for miles I've htt 34 mph in gear 2, quite enough speed for me. Haven't tried 3 yet! I'm faster than cars sometimes.
Based on other videos I’d say the speed isn’t correct. One person said that the computer sees 10” tires when in reality they are 9.25”. Tests I’ve seen shows that the speedometer is 4-5mph higher than the actual speed.
Hi Wong, All of our speed tests are done with a Racelogic Vbox Sport, which is more accurate than typical phone GPS. I agree though, the speedometers on most scooters aren't accurate. Do you think the new Cruiser is faster or slower than 30.5 mph? -Paul
Dual motor? This is your second review that I watched, the first was the great work you did about Fluid Horizon... I missed your opinion about customer support! I'm researching my first scooter, so many options...
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide Thank you! I sent a message for Fluid 3 days ago, asking some questions about Apollo Explore and another scooter, but seems I wrote through the wrong channel, not the "info" email, I will message again. do you have any reviews about Cyberbot mini? S10 by Yumeway(IP54, 30 mph, 30 miles range, 60 lbs, $800)? Cyberbot is fast(33mph despite 75lbs!), seems very good on hills, but can't ride in the rain, and it's heavy. Apollo Explore, so good, the foldable handlebar is not a good choice, I read many customers complaining that rattle.
Thanks so much for the comment! Braking is definitely better on the new one. I think the rotor may have actually been too big on the earlier one, and made it harder to modulate without locking up. The new one is easier when doing emergency stops. -Paul
If y'all get the chance could you just like include a horn sound bite? I ride a lot and my current horn is quiet. Couldn't find any definitive answers about this horn
i literally bought the old model like two weeks ago, not knowing there was a refresh coming. lol. goddamnit. not too upset though. other than the handle mod.
What was the range with the Seat installed? I see they have a different one on the site, what kind of range would one expect, since standing 50~ miles will make me tired of standing eventually and maybe want to buy the seat in the future for just long cruises.
Hi ESG, can you guys add a “Real world mileage with all lights on”? Just thought it would be helpful. Just ordered a Zero9 and curious how far it can go with all the lights on!
Hi Shk10189, I don't think the lights should have a measurable impact. The wattage is absolutely tiny compared to the motors. It's something we can definitely calculate though! -Paul
I was finally going to take the plunge and get my first scooter, but was sad to see your coupon code doesn’t work because the scooter has apparently been updated. Is this really the best scooter to get for fun and function? I love the speed, distance capability, and water resistance features, so I’m assuming yes?? Ahh there’s so many scooters out there lol
They're nearly immune to pinch flats and tire sealant works way better with tubeless than tubed. They also have lower rolling resistance than tubed, so they contribute a small amount to range and top speed. I'm a fan of tubeless myself. -Paul

It can't battery swap. Very few scooters do. The Dualtron Storm has great range and a swappable battery, but the spare battery on that one costs more than an EMOVE Cruiser! -Paul
I'm a pretty big guy.. Do you think this will handle my weight properly? I'm under the 350lbs weight limit but 1400$ is steep. I'm worried about buying it
I'm trying to decide between this and the Apollo Phantom since I'm living in an area that rains alot. Is the IP54 good enough from the Phantom or should I get The Emove cruiser?
I bought one and the front wheel bearings went out after 75 miles. They refuse to fix the issue as a manufacturing defect. Voro Motors seems to have dropped the ball on this one.
1 thing I don't like about my cruiser I just received, the trigger throttles doesn't really work it seems, its either full on or completely off. Is this normal?
The seat itself is really really good, and doesn't have the big side to side wobble we've seen on earlier seats. The stem needs to be clamped into the base pretty hard to feel good. Even then it does move a bit, but after 47 miles, I got completely used to whatever forward back movement was still in the seat stem. -Paul
One note is that by reports it would appear the Emove Cruiser displayed speed is quite accurate. I own a Gotrax XR Ultra and an Emove Cruiser. The Gotrax very annoyingly is optimistic by about 10%, meaning that the cutoff speed as indicated at 15.5mph is actually just shy of 14mph for me. The Emove shows 24mph when I'm actually going 24mph via gps. That's very rare in ebikes/escooters and even motorcycles. I've heard it varies a little from scooter to scooter or person to person where it can be even slightly pessimistic. Mostly a reminder that when people say "my Explore goes 35mph" or something, they are likely looking at an optimistic speedometer. I would use things like ESG for top speed comparisons (especially because weight can make a big difference, especially with less powerful scooters).
Cruiser has so many problems. I am a delivery driver and used it for deliveries. In less than two weeks of driving it I had issues like folding mechanism screw broke in half, ignition lock broke, broken bearing on the front wheel (locked my front wheel during delivery but thankfully I am still alive), rear fender snapped in half, folding mechanism screw broke in half again and yesterday motor died. What is worse all of this issues are recurring since they usually happen to others aswell. For such an expensive scooter it very much lacks quality. First and last product made and produced in US that I will buy.
Yes! Handlebar height varies from as low as 25 inchest to as high as 38 inches, with the stock handlebars. Charging time from empty with the stock charger is 9 to 12 hours. You should also be able to cut that in half with a high current charger, though I haven't tried it. -Paul
Do you think it's worth it to upgrade from the old cruiser to the new one? ( geni.us/qWFUAj?track=yt ) Let us know in the comments below!
@@joshuab360 The small 8.5 inch tires on a scooter that goes 28 mph (Zero 9) is beyond me. It feels unstable at high speeds on those small tires.
I don’t think it’s worth it, there’s nothing revolutionary (except maybe the strong waterproof rating) that can reasonably justify the $3500 USD price tag. But that’s my opinion, without riding it for myself I can’t say for sure.
Bro the Starwheels Demon can go up to 110 km/h and has 90km of range the Demon is much better then this Emove scooter.

Okay, damn it, I bought one. I have a serious addiction problem. Watching Electric Scooter Guide is like going to a bar when you have a drinking problem.

@Electric Scooter Guide
Completely disregard the waterproof rating.

Somewhere in here there is a critique of VORO Motors and its production, marketing and customer service failures.
If there was no such thing as Inokim, I'd be tempted.

Stem wobble is better than almost all Titan Variants (scooters that look like this one), but not as good as some modern scoots like the Phantom or Vsett 10+. @@portow This is something that either the manufacturer and/or the retailer should do. Especially at the price of this scooter.
How's it holding up?
Not sure if the loss of 3 miles of range is worth an average of 1mph faster speeds. To be honest, I really don't think Emove Cruiser owners care that much about speed. 25-27mph is just fine in my opinion and the primary reason for buying a Cruiser is RANGE, RANGE, RANGE. So, the fact that it gets less range is disappointing.
Nice new front fender.
The upgrade I would have liked to see is a slight reduction in price :)
As always, a great review!
Thanks Joey! The 50.3 miles of range is still there if you go 1 mph slower (same speed as the 2020) :-) -Paul
Really wanna return my Ninebot and buy this scooter.!
I have both, stick with the ninebot if you want a hassle free scooter. My emove cruiser has had issues from day one, especially if you get any water near it. The ninebot wont win the spec sheet battle, but its dependable and as a commuter that's super important!
@@XGGuitarX Really? that would be big trouble to me as well
I was hoping all summer for a comparison between the new Cruiser and the Explore!
-Paul
Can’t wait for the emove roadster, dualtron thunder 2 and storm lmtd reviews 👍👍
Thanks! Definitely looking forward to testing all of these! It's going to be a little while though. None of them are in-house yet. -Paul
Dualtron is over priced by a few hundred bucks you can get a much higher quality scooter for much cheaper I would recommend the King GT
@@lawrencewalton7136 lol I actually bought the king gt like 2 wks ago. Amazing how times change and u guessed it
The better motor might actually be the thing that makes me want one of these.
I got one last year, it's great. My only issue is the throttle has a dead zone but I'm use to it.
Awesome! Glad you are enjoying. -Vosk
I have had no Emove Cruiser for almost a week.
It's great more powerful than I was thinking.
I just added the grab handle and storage trunk.
Only 47 miles on it now.
How’s it holding up?
@@Zak_zookie Its been holding up ok have about 1,500 miles now.
@@dennisgolden7596 nice was thinking of getting one but keep hearing mixed reviews. Really want it for the range and IP rating
@@Zak_zookie I now have 1,550 miles on the scooter doing great.
I need to change my brakes pads soon.
Thanks Phil! I rode a Hiboy S2 the last mile to the office today and I'm looking forward to trying the Pro. Enjoy whatever scooter you pick! -Paul
Phil C did you buy a scooter yet and which one?
@@-NateTheGreat after that post I kept looking around and found a 1000 watt scooter with lithium batteries called the blaze for $699.. its very nice as my first introduction to this market. Will be looking for a 2nd different one for my wife
@@philc.9280 very nice! I'm in the market too. Where can I buy it and who makes it?
Voro, good customer support? Are we thinking of the same company?
-Paul
The best video comparison in 2021
Wow! Thank you so much Joseph! We put our hearts into these reviews, so it really means a lot ot us to get feedback like this! :-) -Paul
very nice! hope we see similar upgrades to the Touring model.
Actually, they had most of these on the Touring first! Thumb throttle, twist throttle, seat and probably the handlebar mod too. -Paul
This scooter could handle it, just easily swap out the controller for a 30 or 35a controller. They use a 25a controller because they want the extra miles. But if you want a quicker scooter, upgrade the controller which is super cheap
Very insightful! Thanks for sharing.
for once a company seems to have got the balance of portability/performance just about spot on
Varla eagle has this scooter beat. Varla easily gets over 30 mph and is easier to fold. The range on the cruiser is insane, but I personally like having a scooter that can get close to 40mph. It just means there's more power available.
Very insightful! Thanks for sharing.
-Vosk
With the exception of the impossible to install "sport handle bar" all of these accessories really need to come standard at the moment.
If I can buy a perfectly good modest scooter for under $200 bucks which anyone can at the moment what is the point of spending all that extra money?
Anyhow great review but clearly the Industry needs to expand far more aggressively inside the United States so that a dealership model can be developed thus creating more professional feedback "to keep those wheels turning."
In the meantime actual pure bev motorcycles are starting to appear at this price point soooo..
I love this electric scooter so much
Paul once said that the Explore was the only single motor scooter that came close to feeling like a dual motor.
-Paul
I should have gone for the Explore
Just bought one in orange, can't wait to get it :-)
It’s a great scooter! Enjoy
Thanks for this excellent video. The new emove cruiser checks all the boxes for my first scooter. I just have one question. If the battery should die during a ride can the scooter be ridden like a manual scooter or will the motor cause too much drag?
It can but it’s heavy! The cruiser has a really big battery and it will give you a warning when battery level is getting low.
The trunk has a problem fitting on the 2021 model. Lots of complaints on the voro Facebook page and I've personally experienced issues with it. The support brackets hit the breaks and the trunk itself slams against the fender on every bump. Disappointing that they told it like that.
they're sponsord, whadya expect
-Paul
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide You're awesome, Paul. Thanks for doing that. 👍
Awesome! Thanks for sharing. -Vosk
I wasn't moved. I'll keep my KB MANTIS V2 😂 and I can't wait to upgrade to Wolf King GTR with removable battery pack 🤤 easy to charge
👀
that was some impressive dancing and dance music
Based on other videos I’d say the speed isn’t correct. One person said that the computer sees 10” tires when in reality they are 9.25”. Tests I’ve seen shows that the speedometer is 4-5mph higher than the actual speed.
Hi Wong,
All of our speed tests are done with a Racelogic Vbox Sport, which is more accurate than typical phone GPS. I agree though, the speedometers on most scooters aren't accurate. Do you think the new Cruiser is faster or slower than 30.5 mph? -Paul
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide
Slower
Edit: If your speed is based on the scooters speedometer
Dual motor? This is your second review that I watched, the first was the great work you did about Fluid Horizon... I missed your opinion about customer support! I'm researching my first scooter, so many options...
The Cruiser is single motor.
Both Fluid and Voro have grea customer support.

Apollo Explore, so good, the foldable handlebar is not a good choice, I read many customers complaining that rattle.

it shows here that this has a 1000w motor but in the voro motors website it says 1600w.
It's 1000 watt nominal and 1600 watt max

Maybe in 2022 voro will put rubber suspensions in the cruiser for cruising smoothness.
Have you guys noticed the difference in the disc brake rotor on the front compared to the back ? better braking compared to the previous model ?
Thanks so much for the comment! Braking is definitely better on the new one. I think the rotor may have actually been too big on the earlier one, and made it harder to modulate without locking up. The new one is easier when doing emergency stops. -Paul
Still need that Phantom vs Cruiser review!
Ok cruiser or Ghost?? Main reason why? I’m pulling the trigger soon!!
If y'all get the chance could you just like include a horn sound bite? I ride a lot and my current horn is quiet. Couldn't find any definitive answers about this horn
Possibly on the update of this scooter
i literally bought the old model like two weeks ago, not knowing there was a refresh coming. lol. goddamnit.
not too upset though. other than the handle mod.
Handle mod still works on all of the models :-)
The differences between the are pretty subtle. -Paul
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide oh this is awesome news! Thanks!
What was the range with the Seat installed? I see they have a different one on the site, what kind of range would one expect, since standing 50~ miles will make me tired of standing eventually and maybe want to buy the seat in the future for just long cruises.
If I remember correctly, did the range test seated. It shouldn’t make more than a 1 mile difference at the speeds I was traveling. -Paul
I had a Kirin Kugoo M4 with the same locking mechanism and it was the first to go...since then, I've always avoided a scooter with a similar mechanism

I want I just for the huge deck size and hood looks
Hi ESG, can you guys add a “Real world mileage with all lights on”? Just thought it would be helpful. Just ordered a Zero9 and curious how far it can go with all the lights on!
Hi Shk10189,
I don't think the lights should have a measurable impact. The wattage is absolutely tiny compared to the motors. It's something we can definitely calculate though! -Paul
30 mph (48 kph) is my satisfactory speed. Not wasting the time of traveling a long distance.
Yes that is definitely a good speed.

I just can’t seem to get the brakes tuned right even when I watch the videos 😂
I want to get a nice scooter for fun rides. I'm 243lbs and 6'2 is this a good scooter for me?
I was finally going to take the plunge and get my first scooter, but was sad to see your coupon code doesn’t work because the scooter has apparently been updated.
Is this really the best scooter to get for fun and function? I love the speed, distance capability, and water resistance features, so I’m assuming yes?? Ahh there’s so many scooters out there lol
This one? Or the Apollo City Pro 2022??? A, comparison would be much appreciated!
Both are excellent! Apollo has better suspension! -Vosk
Why why the tubeless tires? They are a nightmare to fix flats with
They're nearly immune to pinch flats and tire sealant works way better with tubeless than tubed. They also have lower rolling resistance than tubed, so they contribute a small amount to range and top speed. I'm a fan of tubeless myself. -Paul
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide really? I have always been way too afraid to use slime on tubeless tires. Couldn't you risk damaging the motor?
@@justinsarchive4111 Voro sells their own slime, so it's fine.
Does it have a detachable battery so can have another 1 always ready to go? I know it's range is good, but I plan on using it all day for Uber eats and already have range anxiety and do t even own an EV 🤣🤣 but it's a toss up between this or the lectric XP e bike
It can't battery swap. Very few scooters do. The Dualtron Storm has great range and a swappable battery, but the spare battery on that one costs more than an EMOVE Cruiser! -Paul

If there’s no hills you should be fine
I'm trying to decide between this and the Apollo Phantom since I'm living in an area that rains alot. Is the IP54 good enough from the Phantom or should I get The Emove cruiser?
Cruiser is definitely better in the rain
I bought one and the front wheel bearings went out after 75 miles. They refuse to fix the issue as a manufacturing defect. Voro Motors seems to have dropped the ball on this one.

If you had a choice between the Varla eagle or the emove cruiser, which one would you pick?
Varla all day. VoroMotors is trash.
What makes you say that 1PottoeMasher1? -Paul
1 thing I don't like about my cruiser I just received, the trigger throttles doesn't really work it seems, its either full on or completely off.
Is this normal?
Is the seat just as wobble on the 2021 as it’s on the 2020
The seat itself is really really good, and doesn't have the big side to side wobble we've seen on earlier seats.
Hi, I have a big question?
Can Emove Cruiser remove the speed limiter?? Please reply 🙏
Which country are you in ? -Vosk
Yume y11 or 2021 emove cruiser which should I get
We have not tested the Yume! The cruiser is an excellent scooter -Vosk
Contact voro for a fix
Can you adjust the handlebar height? And how long for a full charge?
Yes! Handlebar height varies from as low as 25 inchest to as high as 38 inches, with the stock handlebars. Charging time from empty with the stock charger is 9 to 12 hours. You should also be able to cut that in half with a high current charger, though I haven't tried it. -Paul

How can emove can do 81 km have same battery with ninebot max?

Do you own the e move cruiser as your personal Dailey scooter sir?
I am a little confuse where you are mentioning "Stem Flex - B". Firmer stem is better right? This one is rated B, so is it firm or wobbly?
Should not be wobbly
