Here, Sobia Zaidi will discuss the role of sadness, sorrow, grievance, in an artist's life. How can these emotions impact the creative process going on in an artist's head?
Sobia Zaidi is a performance artist, playwright and theater maker her practice is concerned with finding and curating the mundane and ordinary as extraordinary. Sobia has always been fascinated by the body both as an object in space and as a subject. The inspiration for her performances comes from the daily life interactions which she re-enacts in the most unexpected sites and contexts.
Currently, she is giving lectures and conducting workshops on performance art in Lahore, Pakistan.

Kuch Jaan Lo! is an organization concerned with the arts and culture of Pakistan. The basic motive of KJL! is to reintroduce our vibrant youth with their own art and culture. Till now we have organized events on different literary personalities like Faiz Ahmed Faiz, Saadat Hassan Manto, Mirza Ghalib, Noon Meem Rashid, Parveen Shakir, Ahmed Faraz and Ismat Chughtai. Apart from these events, we have initiated a series of events called Silsala-e-Parhant (Series of readings), and a reading club called Parhant Kada (Reading Club) in which we invite students and people from various professions to come and read literary pieces of any literary personality of the Indian Sub-continent. In the near future, we aim to bring our regional literature, i.e. Pashto Literature, Baloch Literature and Sindhi Literature, to our followers.
