Brave getting in there in January. Miss Nancy must be loving life. I have two rescue huskies, who are very affectionate sisters. One needs an operation on her cruciate, so heading to Bournmouth last week in January for that. It’s rough to see her struggling. She’s a brave girl though. Hoping the op works out, needs a metal plate putting in!
Thank you, I think she loves in usually! That is so lovely huskies are beautiful and that you took them both 💕 Oh poor girl I really hope the operation goes well sounds serious, it is awful watching them suffer. Hopefully she is able to bounce back!
Wow you two girls are becoming proper TH-cam stars. Nearly 100 thousand views on some videos. Always knew you would do it and you deserve every success, especially Nancy Drew, after all it is her channel and she is the real star.. x
@stu7575 well… nothing is in stone, there is a lot I would like to do. It’s tricky for a few reasons but I hope things will start coming together! Urgh sadly no I have had no spare money so still plenty I need to upgrade in The future 😂 and the heater is broke again! 🤬
Hi Tori, over yesterday and this morning (18/01/24), I've binged watched your videos , I can't get about too well at the moment as I've got a duff hip, so you and Miss Nancy have brought me a lot of light over the past two days! You do worry me with some of the places you go to if there was to be an accident and no phone signal you'd be scuppered, maybe look into getting something called a "Garmin in reach" its a little device where you can press a button and it alerts the Emergency Services via Satellite! Also space blankets for both of you and a closed cell mat for you both to sit on!once again thank you for all the Love you put into your Videos! Please Keep safe! Andy x
@PicaloAndy I am so glad you’ve been enjoying our videos! Thanks for those tip I will look that up, I’ve never worried much in the past as I’ve always done loads of things by myself, but there has certainly been times lately when I’ve been walking some quiet cliff thinking no one would even know if I fell off! It would probably be good to just be a bit more prepared, thank you 🙏 x
I know it’s very late but happy new year to you and Miss Nancy hope yous had a great Christmas too, keep it going your smashing it I’ve been away for sometime but am home now been away training the joys hahaha. Missed your videos hope your ok and still looking as beautiful as ever and Miss Nancy too. Well done on what you have accomplished so far your doing great.
Suggest you get yourself a DJI Action 4 camera then you would be able to change batteries (and take it swimming ) and you can add an external Mike with a wind filter such as the Rode video mic. You can even get attachments for dog harnesses so Miss Nancy could film her own viewpoint!
That sounds great, and I’d love Miss Nancy to do some filming! I actually got the Rode video micro but the one I have doesn’t do well in the wind and it’s always windy here 😖
It amazingly exhilarating swimming in rock pools knowing that you’re almost at the mercy of Mother Nature but it can’t quite grab you. It takes a brave lady to be doing that in the UK. Try the Canaries, awesome pools there and even in December the water temperature is favourable. Great vlogs btw.
That sums it up well! I find it much more compelling than the open ocean. A bit far for a daily swim but that sure sounds good! Warm water ❤️ Thank you!
Firstly, you’re incredibly brave swimming in such cold water at this time of year, I do cold showers, starting off warm and finishing with cold water, but you’re at a totally different level😀huge respect. New to your channel, but have subscribed. Hope you manage to keep going through the rest of the winter, all the best.👍
Thank you! I actually think a cold shower sounds more awful than swimming🤭 So I think you’re brave! Thank for the sub we appreciate it, will hopefully be bringing more swimming adventures this winter!🙏
Ever since I found your channel, I've noticed so many greyhounds being walked in my town!! Question, where and when did you start making jewelry? Thanks for latest video -long awaited! Cheers
It’s like cars right, as soon as you get one you start seeing them everywhere 😂 I love seeing a pointy face I’m always on the lookout! Jewellery I started about 6 years ago training in the evenings while a did a different job then started making as a side gig. Cheers! 🤗
@@missnancysdayoff Like walking barefoot across a shingle beach; it's painful and then you get to the sea in summer time to discover its not warm but unpleasantly cold. Please you've got attuned to cold water bathing.
Love this. You and Nancy are so similar to Fairy and I in your adventures. I also love wild swimming in the winter 🥶 Does Nancy ever run off? She looks so well trained! I’ve only just started letting Fairy off lead and I worry she will run off if I go swimming and leave her waiting for me 🤣
I loved finding your channel and seeing the things you and Fairy get up to, did you lower her into the swimming pool?! Hmm well she doesn’t really run off, other than in a normal greyhound way in a massive circle or to look at something then come back. If I’m honest at this point I think it’s more time spent than anything, I kept her in the lead for about a year and I did recall training with her, but I think that combined with our bond is what does it. I did it gradually I was absolutely terrified at first that she would run off! So I did it for short periods, kept doing some recall, then putting her back on the lead, which I still do if I feel she is having a very cloth eared day! She kind of had to earn my trust gradually that she wouldn’t run off. Infact the time she can’t be trusted is if it starts raining because she hates it and will try to leg it! These places we have been swimming lately there isn’t really anywhere for her to go so I’ve felt pretty safe as I wasn’t far away, I wouldn’t leave her on a big beach and go swimming in the sea though she’d get up to naughtiness 😂💕
@@missnancysdayoff I was thinking more like sheep wool on the inside, and outer, wind proof material of some kind ! There's whippets up this way with leg warmers on 🙄
@Jason-cj3ih omg I was thinking the other day how funny it would me to make Nancy a sheep costume 🤭 leg warmers that’s no right, I feel embarrassed for animals that get dressed up silly!
Well done sweetheart two brave ladies...I know where you are 🤔🙄always protect ya bum seams like your heading down south 😂hope you both warm up and most of keep enjoying yourselfs 🎉
Not sure why you considered this only a partial success. You are Nancy did brilliantly. Nancy's really quite the comedian. I really love how she is not fussed at times 😂. Nancy's a brilliant excuse for nosing around areas that otherwise the public wouldn't go. As you can always say you were just following Nancy. A particularly brave dip I would say given that the water running off the rocks into the sea it's probably a darned sight colder than the sea itself. Now that you've seem to have hit your stride with wild swimming do you feel any benefits to it, from a well-being perspective?
I guess I was just disappointed we didn’t make it down to the big pool! But realistically some places are pretty tricky to access. Thank you 😊 Nancy is so funny she really makes these outings for me, and the videos to actually! I think she has decided that I am mad and best ignored at times. I think she gets a bit cross too that I go swimming when I know she doesn’t want to come in too 🤭 It definitely was cold the fast flowing water made it fun while I was in so I kind of forgot for a bit. Well that’s interesting, I definitely think that emotionally it has brought well being, from being able to connect with nature in a new way and literally immerse myself in it. And also that I’ve been able to get over myself and do something I’ve always been a bit to scared to do and felt regretful about. I was reading the other day about the physiological benefits and I couldn’t confirm or deny and of that, but I think you probably need to go more often than I have been. I’m gong to read a bit more and see if maybe I can go more regularly to try and get more benefit.
@@missnancysdayoff It would be pretty tempting to get one of those baby carrier things that you can wear on the front and pop Nancy in there when you want to climb down or up rocky areas which Nancy wouldn't be keen on. Make it easier to access some of those tidal pools. Connecting with nature is definitely one of the 'Five Ways to Well-being' we are all encouraged to do. I was talking to somebody the other day who takes a cold shower daily and asked them if they felt any sort of benefit. The person responded that they really feel the difference when they've skipped the shower. Somehow the day doesn't feel quite right they said. Certainly look forward to you sharing any insights in the future. 🙏😁
@Melatiah I’ve been toying with cutting for hole in a blue ikea bag for some time now in case I need to bag her! Not entirely sure I could ‘pop’ her anywhere though 🤣 She’s o big and the gangly legs!! But it would be good to have a back up for emergency’s if I could hang her on my back. People have been mentioning this cold shower business to be, as someone who hates even a cold shower in summer it sounds awful but maybe that’s my next challenge 😖 It would be easier to do everyday than the wild swim, less scenic though! Can I have a hot shower after 🤣🤭
@@missnancysdayoff ' blue ikea bag' - 🤣 I'd pay to see that! ' Not entirely sure I could ‘pop’ her anywhere though' - 😂 a bit of a tongue-in cheek comment on my part. Nancy's a catwalk girl with her long legs. 😍 I seen farmers with lambs carry them across their shoulders. Maybe you could do that with Nancy. My little Russian cocker spaniel would love when I picked her up and carried her. But she was small and it was easy to do. ' Can I have a hot shower after' - 😂 Sure you can! I think I could tolerate it if I used an umbrella.🤣 On a serious note though it seems to me that having daily cold showers can be beneficial in many different ways including boosting one's mood but only if you don't have any cardiovascular complications or things like high blood pressure, circulatory problems like Raynaud's disease. In those cases it's worth consulting a doctor beforehand.
@Melatiah baggin my greyhound that mjust be a good YT short 🤣 She is a catwalk girl isn’t she! It’s ridiculous how proud I am of her 🤭 I don’t think she’d approve of being slung across my shoulders like a sack of flour 😅 when I pick her up she basically just freezes and wait for the unpleasantness to be over. The first time I did it I got half way over a stile and realised I couldn’t quite make it so I lowered her toward the ground (maybe a foot from the ground) expecting her to leap out of my arms like a cat, but instead she just fell to the floor and lay there until I got over and gave her a biscuit it was the funniest thing I’ve seen in my life. I need to read more about this. It sounds horrid but I’m all for a free health boost.

@@missnancysdayoff I think you know it’s just me being me which is not everyone’s cup of tea , i don’t drink tea myself so it’s ok = nearly a joke , because I’m curious about how others see life ok some call it bloody nosey , why was the adventure missing from your life and what made you decide to include it now , you don’t have to answer , one does tend to learn from strangers as we walk life’s path , Buddha would say if you want to know what’s down the road ask someone on their way back, take care chilly one .
@kavanobrien6547 don’t drink tea that is a sad tale, but why?! @@missnancysdayoff Being a wimp would be the last thing I would contemplate you being , i don’t drink caffeine so no tea or coffee, maybe me being paranoid but saw a video on TH-cam a couple of years back and explained what caffeine does to the kidneys, yes I know I sound stupid, can’t help being me , look at the benefits if I take you for a cream tea = you can have all the tea and I can have all the scones, jam, cream, I don’t think I’m as brave as you going swimming like that plus I would probably not look as good as you in a bikini , I know another one of my corny jokes , next week down here it’s supposed to be quite cold , so rap up well nice soul.
At nine minutes nineteen seconds in the video is a shot of the rocky island to the near SW of Cape Cornwall. It's said that with a little bit of imagination it looks like a cartoon of French general and President Charles De Gaul lying down in a bath. Yes? No?

I don't think the human body was meant to absorb that form of torture; you could end up getting liver and kidney failure, double pneumonia, collapsed lungs and your eyes popping out of their sockets ALL AT THE SAME TIME!!! How many explorers come back from the Arctic and Antartic with body parts missing from frost bite? And haven't you heard of the 'dead zone' on Mount Everest? ('Blue wit' cold' as they say in Yorkshire.)
So does coming out of a sweat box and rolling in the snow as well for some nut jobs. Don't you think about your long term health? Because what you do now comes back to bite you later in life unless you're one of the fortunate few who can abuse their bodies their whole lives and get away with it. Ernest shackleton the explorer was a prime example of this. And on a more personal note are you registered as self employed and paying NI credits? If you live to state pension age and haven't paid enough NI it will affect your right to claim SRP and how much you could get unless you pay a lump sum to cover the back log. Of course you've still got time to become the Lady of The Manor if you meet Mr Darcy and don't fall for me in a big way and choose to live in poverty in a run down shack next to the railway track? (it's always my intention to make you smile or even titter.)❣ @@missnancysdayoff

Always knew you would do it and you deserve every success, especially Nancy Drew, after all it is her channel and she is the real star.. x
I know it’s a bit nuts right 🤣 Certainly I’ve always known Nancy Drew is a star, but I’m really just here to facilitate things.x
@missnancysdayoff Your bond with Nancy is too adorable and cute to resist 😍 Keep going you'll have 200k views on every video soon. Best wishes x
@stu7575 🤣 if only that would be extremely cool! 🙏 x
@missnancysdayoff Tori any new travel plans for 2024 new places to visit? Also any new upgrades on the van over the winter?

Thank you! You too! I hope the training was good but it’s always nice to be home. Thank you we are working hard at it! 😍
I actually got the Rode video micro but the one I have doesn’t do well in the wind and it’s always windy here 😖
Good news you have the attention of the men of culture. Welcome to the club. 😊
🤣
It amazingly exhilarating swimming in rock pools knowing that you’re almost at the mercy of Mother Nature but it can’t quite grab you. It takes a brave lady to be doing that in the UK. Try the Canaries, awesome pools there and even in December the water temperature is favourable. Great vlogs btw.
That sums it up well! I find it much more compelling than the open ocean. A bit far for a daily swim but that sure sounds good! Warm water ❤️ Thank you!
Just pure freedom 😊
Exactly 🤗
Water did look cold, always been tempted to have a dip when I'm out walking but never plucked up the courage, great vid 👍
Thanks! I’m still working on it too as that is me usually also when out walking but it’s definitely worth it 🙏
@@missnancysdayoff might brave it next time ☺️
Firstly, you’re incredibly brave swimming in such cold water at this time of year, I do cold showers, starting off warm and finishing with cold water, but you’re at a totally different level😀huge respect.
Cheers! 🤗

UR made of stronger stuff than me. I wouldn't enjoy a dip in icy water. Coastal views nice and sharing your day with Nancy dog.
It’s funny. I didn’t enjoy it at first but my brain has undergone change and now seems to relish it 🤣. 🙏
@@missnancysdayoff Like walking barefoot across a shingle beach; it's painful and then you get to the sea in summer time to discover its not warm but unpleasantly cold. Please you've got attuned to cold water bathing.
Unpleasantly cold 😅 that’s what I’ve been saying for years
Hi great vid. Whereabouts in Cornwall is this please. Another great beach for photos .
Thanks! All around Penwith Peninsula if you walk to South West coastal path you will run out of film it’s ❤️
Love this. You and Nancy are so similar to Fairy and I in your adventures. I also love wild swimming in the winter 🥶
Does Nancy ever run off?
Nancy looks so pretty in pink! Actually, greyhounds look good in anything, especially black greyhounds.

@Jason-cj3ih omg I was thinking the other day how funny it would me to make Nancy a sheep costume 🤭 leg warmers that’s no right, I feel embarrassed for animals that get dressed up silly!

I’ll have to get some padded cycling shorts 🩳😂 thanks we will!
Most definitely giving Wim Hof a run for his money; I certainly know who I'd rather be watching 😊
😂 my sister has just explained Wim Hof to me I should probably learn some of his tricks!
I think I could tolerate it if I used an umbrella.🤣
On a serious note though it seems to me that having daily cold showers can be beneficial in many different ways including boosting one's mood but only if you don't have any cardiovascular complications or things like high blood pressure, circulatory problems like Raynaud's disease.
Happy New Year

I don't think the human body was meant to absorb that form of torture; you could end up getting liver and kidney failure, double pneumonia, collapsed lungs and your eyes popping out of their sockets ALL AT THE SAME TIME!!! How many explorers come back from the Arctic and Antartic with body parts missing from frost bite? And haven't you heard of the 'dead zone' on Mount Everest? ('Blue wit' cold' as they say in Yorkshire.)
🤣 i swear it actually feels good after a while
I'll take your word for that and you could have a stroke as well. Try absailing in the nude instead.@@missnancysdayoff
(it's always my intention to make you smile or even titter.)❣
