Everyone here is about the entire performance not about standing out, and that's why they stand out. Bruno runs a tight ship on production and he and Anderson have a really clear picture of how this rolls out. I hope they're in for the long haul, get to tour because that's what they love and it's blatantly obvious with the transition to live which I think is even more impressive the the studio track. Bruno's mom is a hula dancer and a singer. She got that lovely voice and also hitting high notes. His uncle Johnny Valentine (her mom's brother) is also a famous singer-musician based in Hawaii and still doing some shows in the island. I think he got a touch on The Do Woop album of Bruno Mars esp the song Just The Way You Are. Maybe on some guitar work with Bruno or melody. Btw, amazing reaction and you got me subscribed. Just some part that the audio volume went down while commenting as you paused the song.
Just watched this back,and have to say how good Orange Amps sound but they're so heavy. The cabinets are made old style and as much as I love the sound our daughter had the Orange Rocker 32 for about 5 years and while recording her band it was dragged across our hardwood floors and left drag marks that I walk across every day. My husband had a Carlsbro sponsorship for his bass rig and same thing, they were so heavy and such a mighty sound. They looked so good on stage, but bumping in and out of some gigs it was nightmare even for the crew. Both had that 80's look...love that.
YES! orange amps are cool but soooo heavy. I had their little tube 5 or 10 watt switchable head I used in place of my old 100 watt marshal, just left the orange wide open, everything on 10 it sounded so good 😂 There's something about not sacrificing stuff like wood though. They make Les Pauls with chambers now to help with the weight but they just aren't the same

So had to edit a little. Yes indeed, Bruno’s older brother, Eric Hernandez is on drums, but of course he’s playing parts form the recording. This is the only song Andy didn’t play on, & the drummer is Homer Steinweiss of The Dap-Kings. Eric is nailing it exactly though, like note for note, beat for beat, + the nuanced arrangement with stop times, etc. D’Mile layed down the bass part which is definitely reminiscent of Bootsy’s style, syncopated & all around the downbeats, as well as pocket. It’s actually nthe 1st tune they had started writing while hanging out when Andy & Free Nationals were opening for Bruno on his 24 Karat Magic tour, like 2017. On another note you picked up on Anderson’s vocal line variation but not like you guys to not pick up on his clowning, ‘I think I saw her wit dem Island Boys’…🤣. Anyway, fun & informative reaction! 👍
Yep, that's Bruno's brother but they really don't look alike in real life to me. Here I think it's his hair style and mustache (that '70's era). And he looks a little thinner now, he still looks good.
