For irelia, you can also place your E on top of the minion you Q'd, which basically makes the first part invisible. When you use the second part its nearly instant due to E being faster when its channeled on top of irelia.
Kind of hard to land at times, but also really hard to dodge if you're not expecting it

Not really. His W is just unique and therefore weird to use, the rest is pretty much similar to Taliyah. Tbh honest I would put him into the same category as Lilia - Champs u need to get used to the weird character centric piloting.
I just consider him extremely weak rather than hard to master.

I don't know if aphelios is the hardest one to master, but let me tell ya, I would much rather spend an hour a day on practice tool with some nice music playing in the background, grinding out riven, than having to do homework on aphelios to even understand him, and having to solve the quadratic formula before every fight begins
My top 5 would be :

2- Azir
3-Yasuo
4- Irelia

What about Qiyana she’s really hard to pull of, her basic combos are easy but the skill ceiling is really high.. you can even get permanent invisiblity or long cc with water + ult.. you can see good rivens, irelias, and yasuos even in silver and gold but good Qiyana are available only above Diamond

As an Azir one trick and someone who has spent a lot of time on a lot of the other champs on this list I think azir should remain the hardest lol theres so much to piloting that champ successfully beyond just the combos. (And sometimes you do want to use your e in lane if fighting you can collide with someone and give yourself another soldier to increase your dmg and win said duel. Catches people by surprise a lot) azir is such a sick champ. I love learning new things even though I've been playing him for so long

There were plenty of champs not on the list that are much harder than Yas (Shaco, Katarina, etc). Yas mains just have inflated egos and think they're gods for playing a champion that requires some mechanics

@@sarunasjadzgevicius3633 You're entirely wrong. Katarina is a champ that requires incredibly precise timing, perfect mechanics to set up daggers, and an overall strong sense of foresight. Shaco is arguably top 5 most difficult champs in the game (at least, AP Shaco is) due to the near infinite skill ceiling on box placement and clone maneuverability. Manipulating your clone to move convincingly is a skill that takes literal hundreds of hours to become proficient at, and setting up boxes in ways that will have significant effects on teamfights is a skill that no Shaco main will ever stop improving at. Shaco is a champ built around creativity and mind games, and unlike flying around mindlessly as Yasuo, these are qualities that do in fact take mental acuity and overall macro skill.
i'd have definitely put taliyah in the list but i've never played most of the champions in the list

Thresh is difficult, however you can see lots of decent Thresh without much effort, however seeing decent players of champs like Aphelios, Nidalee, Jayce or Riven is harder

I rly thougt yasuo would be on this list, his most advanced combos like keyblade are really hard and he also has a lot of ways to animation cancel a lot of stuff, i also though aurelion sol would be on this list, the champ is a potato if you are not higher than plat, even if you are that champ is so much harder than azir in my opinion, i can do the w e r backwards and then q to take you close to your ult insec combo (mega insec i think) on him and i dont think that is harder than playing aurelion

Riven main here. Came to see witch ones are the hardest top laners cuz i wanted to have a second champion didnt knew Riven is on of Them. Playing her since s5 and rlly love her kit so far win all matchups without quinn and malphite(fking Rock xD).

Skill floor I think is the largest basis for the list. A basic player on most of these champs won't do well once you break gold as each of them has to have some serious play time and mechanics to do well. They also have massive skill ceilings making them very functional the higher Ranking you reach. I would put Zed and LeBlanc on the list, honestly bumping Draven and even my old main Kallista. Yasuo and Yone didn't make the list because they have a rather low skill floor, and both have a 10 death power spike that's just unreasonable. ;}

ok so hear me out Viego. not only your own abilities and when to ult to finish someone but also picking up a random champ that you killed or assisted and sometimes only got a split second to get used to those abilities to make him work.

Also, 0-4 (me as nasus) against darius and I ran him down when I hit 6. Then when my ult was back up I went mid and killed the 7-1 yone.
3 things wrong with that, 1 yone is fed asf I shouldnt be thinking "well I, the 1-4 nasus can fight him if I wait for ult since hes only 7-1" secondly, I shouldn't smash a darius face into the pavement after inting to him just because I got ult and lastly, now that the inting nas hit 6 the enemy have to either send both of their only winning carries top and STAY THERE (else I kill the loner if one leaves after I respawn) OR let me raid boss a lane and pretend I dont exist till I'm at their nexus.
-We lost that game- they sent 4 top to kill me (killed 1 of them and got inhib btw)whilst my team fought over jungle camps, they then wiped my team and got baron.
Point is, I'm not saying nasus is broken because of his win ratio, I'm saying hes broken because once he hits 6, he can stomp any champ in game 1v1. Whats that? Just kite him? All well and good till he presses w. Stack armor you say? Luckily his e reduces resistances and does tons of magic dmg.

Regardless of winrate, that aint right. Team fighting is 5050 on him since he likes stacking but even then if you dont aim him, he pops your carries, if you DO aim him, nice you just aimed the tankiest person on the team whilst the carries on his team wiped yours.
I found the skill ceiling on Aphelios not that huge. It's more the skill floor. You cannot play this champion if you haven't watched guides before and don't know his rotations.
My very first season that I played ranked. I was a Kalista one trick and managed to get to plat 5. Such a great champ. I couldn't continue her just don't like the ADC role. I was marksman player on dota2 but for league I'm a support/mid:) and I've managed to stay low to high diamond with 1 master season. I play simple Champs now tho XD
I agree with riven being the hardest, but I'm surprised u left out this ones : Zed, Yasuo and ofc akali. A lot of people actually play akali and say it's not hard, and I agree, when you play against low elo it's actually easy, but when you climb you start getting the feeling why she is considered one of the hardest champs on league. (Zed and yasuo the same.)
If you play against good players who actually knows how to counter akali then that doesn’t mean she is hard but it means that you opponent knows how to counter akali, for yas, you can’t win with him unless you actually good, not like akali who is even when you are new you can at least do something

My List for hardest Champ to Master: For AP: Azir and Nidalee, For AD: Jayce and Lee Sin; Hardest ADC: for sure Aphelios; I miss Zoe? Think shell hard to master too. Great Video

i disagree i have 200k mastery on draven and 150 k on kalista and kalista is much easier cause of her dashes every auto attack that if u learn a bit how to dash u can dodge every single skill shot you just fell her week because she is out of meta and she needs buffs

i think list depends on the player than anything some champs are easier to master than others for people.
like azir can come easy while others turn him into a tuesday special at popeyes.
but this also comes down to how much time you decide to put into a champ and learn litterally everything about them.

i am a bit dissapointed that Yasuo isn't within there (and i knopw a lot of people will hate me for saying that) but yasuo is in my opinion also a champ you have to practice because you have to know your "walljumps" at raptor camp or gromp camp and also your combinations with the timeing after knocking up a champion and going into the E-Q-R combination. Something else is also the timing of your windwall when do you have to place it or when do you try to ceep it up.

I main irelia and I thought she would not be in top 5. Yeah her E is so hard, and not getting q reset while you're healing on the wave in 1v1 or 1v2 that is so sad. Also her mana end up so fast if you always q the minions. I found it most interesting champ in the game for myself.
The hardest part is late game tbh. And Irelia is a terrible front laner.
Get tear of the godess by cheater recalling the mana is really nice and also manamune damage it was op before if got nerfed so much but it's still good

Her mana is fine, and i know a lot of ppl always Q just to last hit minions when its not needed so they just run out of mana faster

To everyone who mentions champs like yasuo, zed and talon - talon is super easy, zed and yasuo are harder for sure, but one thing about them in common, is that they are super op. You practically can be a total shit, but if you have one good situation to shine in the whole game you still deal too much dmg and you can oneshot squishy champs. And they almost always have a way out of threat, zeds ult makes him untouchable, he has shadows, yasuo can dash as much as he like with shield and wall, talons ult makes him invisible and he can jump over walls. Idk but champs with such powerful kits that can counter 3/4 of the other champions in lol can't be mentioned as hard for me. Ezreal, Shaco, Zac are mentions for me - they are mechanically very hard to master and to be really helpful for the team you need to play good the whole game, not hoping to get a single situation and start carrying after that. But yeah that's just what I think, Ill love to hear other people's opinion!

HOT TAKE: Lee sin is EXTREMELY overhyped. I am jungle main. I mainly play Rengar , nindalee ect. And sometimes i pick lee sin for fun. Lee sin is extremely overhyped. His gangs are strong, he is good 1v1 he is strong in every stage of the game. He just has some flashy combos. THATS IT. I struggle more with picking SHACO. Yes. SHACO who is (in eyes of delusional players) seen as no-brain charracter. I have more problems and harder games with shaco than lee sin. He is ovverated, and nobody can change my mind.
How do you do a top 10 hardest champions to master and leave out yasuo. I mostly agree with the list but leaving out yas, imo is an automatic fail lol.
If we are talking about pure skill ceiling Ezreal has to be on the list. I dont think Aphelios fits in with most of these champs, mentally once you have full comprehension of everything going on in his kit you've done the hard part
The hard part is that u have to remember all combinations of his weapons and abuse them to the highest level, estimate the damage output and flex between playstyles that he has according to each combination. When u get to a higher level? Knowing how to maximize the chakram from Crescendum, timing for an Infernum ult, applying the combinations so it fits to situations or even calculate the ammo while paying attention to the next weapon so u can actually change weapon in the middle of a fight to flip a whole combat. Understanding his kit is a thing, but actually applies it well is a higher level, there are really a lot of information to put your mind into. And about Ezreal, i don't think he's that hard to play. The hard part about Ezreal is landing your skillshots, adding autos to maximize the damage, learning how to kite properly with him since he has such a unique style and confidence to jump in and squeeze all your damage out.

Alot of the champs on the list are still strong enough to be played poorly and still achieve decent results but skill ceiling is unbelievably high on ezreal. Only a few players in the world can reach full potential with the champ
@@ChrisPost. hmm... yeah, i guess so. I think both of them are hard, just different kind of hard. But i find Ezreal easier to play cuz i've used him more than Aphelios and gained more success on him (and somehow i gave more dominance than when i play Aphelios in games too) while i'm just an average player, so, yeah. All in all, i think it's based on the players themselves

Aphelios is harder to pickup in the first place, due to the knowledge requirements but Ezreal after the initial adjustment period is used much worse by the average player. 50 game aphelios gets much larger percentage of the champions capabilities than a 50 game ezreal. That is my opinion, I would love the opinions of people with respected opinions on what they think I would be interested in that
how is Riven one of the hardest? she is harder than most, but she is still pretty okay to learn and understand and master. sure you can tell the difference between a challenger riven and a dia riven, but so can you with any other champs too
I get what u mean by her being ‘pretty okay to learn’ but her skill ceiling is probably the highest in the game so it makes sense.

very easy champ? im gold 1 atm and ezreal is by far the most played and best adc. Wait till 2 items then hit from far away the Qs and you have a free flash. Ult does so much damage and easy to hit.

Thresh bard have a pretty high skill ceiling so I’d say those
I play league since season 1 and I have to say that Riven and Yasuo are the hardest champs to master. I knowwww a lot of ppl hates yasuo but I saw that those who hates Yasuo are in fact ppl who can't pay him who can't understand his mechanics. I play Yasuo since 13th decembre 2013 when he got released. In 2019 I could say that I mastered him completely 100%.

They are, Zed is harder to pick up than Irelia and Jayce (gp is harder to pick up imo) but he is easier to pilot and master

Yasuo, Zed nor Thresh truly reach the skill complexity of the champs of this list. Specially Yasuo is so overrated but he really isnt that hard.
@@wonderfuljinn1096 to rly be a good as yas or zed player in high elo u need to be rly good at the champ. as an example look at the zed mains in challenger they truly mastered the champ. also the win rate ind master+ is mostly made by them cause if u can't play him its gonna be a rough time with him... in my opinion they still belong in this list. can't say anything about thresh, haven't played him that much.
