Hi all can someone help me with our Hotpoint which is similar to this? I just want to do a dry cycle. The washing is already washed so I want to do a Dry as a separate cycle. Tried everything, manual no good, Hotpoint phone "help" line and chatbot really bad, could you please advise? We have the BIWDHG961485. Thank you!
iv exactly got the same problem, I'm busy searching everywhere just to dry a a few damp clothes off the washing line . Any help would be greatly appreciated.
@@stuartcraig7323 I’ve just got this machine! I think I’ve cracked it-put the dial to 5, press dry only, pressed dry settings a few times and then start. Is drying as we speak. Just need to work out how to cut the drying time
Is this machine really as noisy as it appears in this video (Mainly concerned about spin cycle of course). Was considering buying one and thoughts are most welcome.
Yes it's really noisy. Had mine a few weeks to replace a 13 year old hotpoint which was really good. This one is way noisier. Hotpoint aren't interested and say its normal (sent them a video in, same sort of noise the one in this video is making). Wouldn't touch it with a barge pole if I were you! Also the dryer part makes a continuous clicking noise. Really awful, noisy machine.
The programing on this is confusing asf like do a spin after wash but not between rinses draining stright away after just about getting a rather decent water level dosent make any sense at least it didnt do them loads of 300 burst it does have a nice sound to motor tho As always great video and keep up with the effort you put in with the videos really enjoy them and love the commentary too :))
Your opinion is exactly what I was thinking the whole time I was observing this machine. It just about reaches a decent level and then immediately drains. The spin sequence too doesn't make sense either. And thank you so much, I honestly really appreciate that and I'm glad you enjoy the nonsensical commentary 🤣
I got this machine or a similar version of it last week and it makes a weird 'clunk' when its drying. Called Currys, who forwarded my call to Hotpoint, then put me on the line to whirlpool...to be told its totally normal. Keeps pulling cold water from the mains to supply the condenser, but its doing it in tiny bursts. Makes all the cold mains pipes in the house 'bump'. 'Totally normal, its using the mains pressure to drive the condenser'. Cant hear this one doing it. Anyone have any input? Cold water feed jumps a bit, but the clunk is like a small water hammer in the pipes.
In terms of the quality of washing things, the washing machine is so-so ... But for its price - it's normal ✔ I prefer AEG, Miele, Asko, some old Siemens and Bosch models. Thank you for the video
typical sensitive\unpredictable balancing from brushless models. i'd only go brushed for hotpoint\indesit. also, that's the strangest thermospin i've ever seen.
Yep indeed all these integrated Hotpoint models are Whirlpool models unfortunately. The entire outer body of the machine was manufactured by Whirlpool but the inside of the machine was made by Indesit. This program believe it or not is actually known as full load 45' on the newer models, but if it's gonna allow a full load it needs to have much much better programming than this. These are s**t quality machines and the newer ones are known to catch fire now
I had a feeling, as I've seen this one badged as Whirlpool too. The programming does mimic more Indesit than Whirlpool too. And exactly, I can't see this being programmed to suit a full load, I'd be worried one would catch fire too!
Actually I am happy to see something else then your machines only! Surprisingly this machine is not too loud.
Yeah this one is an inverter motor, which is why it's quiet :)

would you ever get one of these for your collection
Never. It’s far too new for what I allow of Hotpoint and also inverter/brushless are completely banned from my collection

Indeed, super sensitive when it doesn't need to be at all. And yes, did 2x Thermospins and wasted more time doing that than actually drying
My one did this thermal spin too, i was confused at the time
