The thing that's unique about the Abarth 500 is that it's not just a hot hatch that you admire and respect, it's a hot hatch that you genuinely fall in love with.
Pah, so what if it has a hard ride, it's a sports car FFS. I drove an SS and it was fast and like a little go kart. Hopefully buying one next March. Great little car and a future classic
I thought exactly the same, if he wants a comfy ride he should go for the normal one. I love the SS, actually there are just two cars on the market I would buy, the SS is one of them.
Are you based in America? Because British non-motorway roads have a reputation for being bumpy. I'm going to test drive both the standard Abarth 500 and the Esseesse tomorrow to see just how purportedly awful this firm ride is. So far though I absolutely love this car.
@piccas WOW 40 thousand Euros!!! That's outrageous I feel your pain, no wonder you want the Camaro. I see is one of those things that you want because they're difficult to get.
i got mine just couple a days ago. Love it. Fantastic performance for such a little car. I haven't got everything out of it because of the snow and cold here. But i must say, it's worth every damn cent. And i don't agree with the ride being too hard. Of course it's harder then any standard car, but it being awful is overrated. I drove the mini cooper s john cooper works, and i found that one much harder and uncomfortable. Still a great car though. But that's my opinion. I can only recommend it
@Piasintei71 READ CAREFULLY: "we brought you the test drive of the 135 brake horsepower Abarth 500, and now we bring you the more explosive Esse Esse version"
@piccas that's the thing though, no body wants a little chrisler, a little fiat is ok but not a chrysler. If you want a camaro you need to find roads without turns.
Essesse model needs 1 mod. They moan about shock set up, yes that's the problem. The rear bump stops are about 40mm too big, it only has 15mm of damper/Spring travel before it hits them, change them for fiat coupe ones and the car is transformed!!!!!

Was this even a test-what about interior accoutrements, mileage, switchgear, hvac, and etc??

You can't have sporty and a smooth ride, you want an american car by the sound of it with buckets of body roll
190hp with performance chip
I have a red Esseesse and love it. Not a pleasure to drive? Don't make me laugh
