I love installing graphics kits I find it so much easier to actually fit them when the plastics are on the bike only took me 20 years to work that out😂 As for seat covers I take them my local trim centre
Hell yeah Alan! It wasn't bad at all, just a little difficult to get the stapler in the spots where those bars are on the bottom of the seat but stapling before and after seemed to do the trick just fine. Let me know how it goes
I have to try that nee trick i rip my fingers off pulling the leather . Usually on the seat covers i get are just a piece of leather or (pleather) plastic fake leather lol no seams on it does look like nice seat covers 🤙
Loved this vid. I wanna try putting my gutz together but I don’t have a strong enough staple gun. And also, what kind of glue works best for the plastic part and the foam part of the seat. I saw you use gorilla glue does that work fine ? Thanks, great vid !!
I'm a huge fan of the air staple gun, works amazing! And yup, the gorilla glue will work just fine. You don't need much either, no need to over do it. The seat cover will help keep it in place too
Good thing kinda unlike graphics you can start all the way over whenever. I’ve redone a seat cover after a mediocre job like a year in. Unfortunately this is one of those things where there’s no simple equation. Takes lots of time and effort.
Right?! No harm no foul to take staples out and retighten or shit just take the whole thing off and redo it. Can be tedious at the end for sure. My thumbs are feeling it today haha
Great video!!! Nice to know I am not the only one has had to spread my legs so I could get on camera...I am 6'4". I like your Unadilla shirt, ever ridden MX Rewind there? My buddy let me ride his Maico 490 up there a couple years ago! A moto dream come true!!!
Haha dude so you know the struggle! Make these big bikes look like 85’s. But I guess we can’t complain since Benny Bloss is 6’7 or something 😳. I’ve never done the rewind but have raced plenty of amateur races there since I grew up just north of Albany. But I would seriously LOVE to travel back and do that race one time. It’s on the To-Do list 🙌🏼💨
Any tips I’d my seat cover is really tight front to back? I bought a d’cor seat cover and it was super tight just laying it over the seat.. I’m worried about stapling it on and it pulling my seat up
@@GavinBose Sounds good Gavin! I'll have to see what I can put together for that! But for now 02-04 have the steel frame that people enjoy, 05 they went AL frame, and in 06 they went with their best suspension that they use today, their SSS suspension. 03 and newer will be the easiest to find parts for!
My Guts seat cover was saggy and did not fit no matter how tight I applied pressure. Ive installed seat covers before and this brand is not consistent and have a no response customer service, also I was installing on stock seat foam not like Gregs. I give GUTs racing a zero
Unadilla 👍 ......... Seats can be a bit of a pain. Being a bit tall myself 6'0". I got some foam padding for furniture there are different densities so be aware of that...... cut to shape I wanted (I took a bit of that dip out because stock it felt like my knees where a bit cramped when my ass was in there) with electric knife you know like the one the wife uses in kitchen lol.. Thanks again for the Videos
My knowledge on putting a seat cover on is you always get a buddy to do it for you. Especially graphics!
Hahaha I'll be that buddy!

i ask my brother to do it
Perfect timing Greg, I ordered a new seat cover for my '99 KX last week 👌

Thanks for the video! Was great help got my GUTS seat cover dialed 🤙🏼

Haha I hear you on that, my thumbs were still a bit sore after installing this one because the grip is so good.

Gona order my purple seat cover for my 19 kx100 just ordered the classic graphics kit
Heck yeah! That is awesome my dude
Awesome thanks for sharing! My 01 KX250 has the exact same OEM stickers? Must have ran the same for a couple of years?
That's so weird! As far as I know only the 99 for this model generation ran the purple graphics
Looks dope 👌
thank you so much for this!
where did u get the graphics?
my bike came with a bump on the seat(used) how is the install with a bump seat?
It's really not bad at all, pretty much the same. You'll have to spend a little more time in that area making sure it's tight but not much.
Alright thx I'll give it a go

Can you add a link to where to purchase the pad and seat cover please

Would you sell the stock seat cover? I'm looking for one for ages.
Man I hear you on that! Unfortunately I’m going to keep it intact for myself. I appreciate the ask though. Keep you posted if I change my mind!
Not easy but good job ! Maybe a few rides and some small heat she will come good ! Little john from the UK
Thanks Little John, I am really looking forward to getting out and trying this thing out on the track. That's happening real soon.

If you staple it right on the sides near the front and rear you should be okay. Have you tried throwing it on and stapling it down?
@@GregHitchko i got it on but i couldn’t pull enough slack on the rear to fold it over nicely. Oh well
Plz do a Yamaha breakdown video

Damn that’s badass to make your own seat foam! You’ve got more guts to do that than I would haha. Definitely makes a huge difference though 🙌🏼

6"3 ? with shoes 😂 you mean youre 6"1
Barefoot 6'3" mate. Please excuse my mispoken words
@@GregHitchko ok mate almost everybody nowadays are pretending that they're shoe is part of they're body
@@sportslangtv2181 believe me, being this tall is not ideal for dirt bike riding, but was beneficial playing other sports growing up lol
