Heavily agree on habit 3 with applying the knowledge. I’ve been absorbing knowledge for a while on many things but recently I’ve realized that I got nowhere. Now I’m trying to adopt my own philosophy of “application is power, not knowledge”

Your videos man. Totally resonate with me. It's like you're future me coaching me. Your content has been so valuable to helping me run my business. Thank you.
Agreed. My life is more boring and simple now, but I’ve had the most growth by eliminating bad habits instead of taking on new ones. Also nice to see you back. A boost of motivation, when you’ve been relying on discipline for a while is always a treat!
Will be using this video for an upcoming meeting on Tuesday. I titled "Ways of Working". Let's just say this video is right on time. And we are diving in on Habit V with help on the 80/20 Rule or Pareto Principle. Thanks 😊
I do love your wisdom and i would really like to listen to your opinion about how to understand that it's time to give up because the universe seems to be against you or that you need to persevere and keep going even if there are too many obstacles and you're completely burned out.
That's a really hard decision to make (and highly personal)... But in my experience, it's almost ALWAYS too soon to give up. In most cases, you simply haven't done the total amount of work required to find success. But again, only you can know for certain if you've done the work.
Yes, it did bring me a ton of value. Parkinson's Law.....I procrasinate monthly to the last minute to earn the money to pay the bills. I need to change to a two week at the beginning of the month model for bill paying.
About to give up. I am literally living in the deepest area in my life. Everything sucks, no good school life, no good friends, no good personality, no discipline, I hate the way I am being right now, I hate my appearance. I don’t know what to do, the only thing I know is I don’t like this life and I am supposed to change it, whatever it takes

Hey Anthony, there is a recent news story about shortening output times in the news cycle. Elon Musk bought Twitter. It had three server farms. As a cost savings Elon wanted to reduce size and complexity of Twitter, down to a pair of server farms. Engineers and general employees were giving him blowback that it would be impossible in less than a year. Then, less than 6 months. Then, arguing back and forth. One night Elon and a few helpers showed up. They severed all connections, with a pocket knife. The next morning 98% of the employees at that location, were terminated. At last reports, nothing major happened.
Parkinson Law - how about not doing task within a day? Any consequences? Because based on CCPM (critical chain project mgmt by Goldratt) you should estimate just to comlpete with 50% chances, beeing aggressive, but accepting that you may exceed the time you estimated.
@@AnthonyVicino But also I am curious how many 1 day tasks is not completed and why? I understand the planning is more aggressive but not everything can be completed within estimated and aggesive time frame.

Oof you nailed the last one for me- setting shorter deadlines for yourself requires discipline to stick to them without that external consequence.
I'm guilty as charged on that one.

Complexity typically only exists to propagate more complexity.
Simple almost always wins in the en.

There's a bit of lag on public facing data. You're actually ~7,200th.
People who work in a corporate environment don’t have the luxury doing doing the prioritization that you describe.

It realy depends on the work place and The company culture.
