I watched Dakku Maharaj last Sunday (12-Jan-2025) in PVR theatre in Chennai filled with high energy Telugu audience ❤❤❤.... Probably I would be the alone Tamil guy in there watching this great spectacle...every year I get in to theatre to watch NBK gaarus movie to listen to Jai Ballayaa chant just to get some energy for my soul...it's not just another mass hero movie for me 😊😊😊😊 .... They didn't do any cut in dabidi dipidi song ( or i think so🙄🙄 )... When the song started the theatre volume was low .The audience began shouting to raise the volume .😂😂😂... Being in a PVR I was skeptical , but they did raise the volume...then the energy level in theatre got hysterical ..as a tamil audience I don't see even 10 percent of this when Jailer was screened in same theatre...or even for pushpa 2 the audience were bit civilized 😂😂....

As a Telugu audience member, I can say that people watch Balayya’s movies purely for the fun and entertainment they offer. The nonsensical dialogues and over-the-top, hilarious plots might lack logic, but that’s exactly what makes them so lovable! But the song with Urvashi has got lot of negativity even with telugu audiences.

Sorry for my broken english. I'm a telugu guy. Balayya has been trolled for his movies and over the top scenes and some problematic scene or songs. The reason is because he believes that no one knows better than director. Once he's on set he do what director says. Sometimes he don't even listen to script because of the directors previous hits and the work they have done. People in Telugu states opposed the dabidi dibidi song steps and other vulgar steps. Only few B and C centre audience cheers for his steps. Balayya used to try different genre movies. He has done sci fi movie, fantasy movies etc etc. but most of his movies are mass movie.. as the time passes audience and directors catered him to mass and over the top movies. This is the reason for the trolls. Again I'm not supporting for the behaviour offscreen. He can say no to problematic steps and scenes.. Only incidents like Balayya beating others, few controversial statements goes viral but he owns a cancer hospital. Every normal citizen gets vip level treatment in his hospital.. he does many good things but only bad things are getting viral. Audience have fixed their minds t to to over the top when it comes to Balayya. Problem with most telugu directors is that they're writing scripts and scenes for fan service more than the story which are rejected by audience. I'm not a balayya fan.

Balayya is like a cheat meal for us. We know a cheat meal is not a healthy meal overall but it tastes too good once in a while especially during festivals. We keep aside calories, amounts of fats, protein etc etc and we whole heartedly enjoy the meal in whole some. Balayya's movies are exactly like that for us. I love Balayya. I have been watching his films since I was 7-8 years old probably. I am 37 now. Yet it feels so entertaining whenever I watch him deliver his lines. His careless attitude towards his critics and sticking to what he is is good at makes it even more enjoyable. He is a meme. But no one cares including us because we know we get what we want. Its funny sometimes, its stupid sometimes and its weird sometimes. But that man is just brilliant with his sense of comfort that it makes it more engaging to watch him do mass commercial entertainers. Anything nuanced I cant watch him. It might look even weird if he did it. I wish he never gives up what he is good at. His dialogues are literally goosebumps and he should not give that up for sure. Here fans don't care what critics like you want to see. If you want something new from him you should try directing, producing or writing for him and see if you can bring in the masses ir money he is bringing in. Else stop ranting about his craft. Movies are made for a target audience and you are not them. So to feel good stop watching his movies and ranting about things you know is bound to disappoint you.

As an audience and i watch all genre and all languages as much as I can but all the time putting the logic behind every scene making sense of it sometimes render me from enjoying it thoroughly. sometimes this vans flying in the air and absurd tacky dialogues might be illogical and unnecessary to the story lines but they make you engaged and laugh and put you in that zone, you enjoy with everyone else joining the cheers and trust it doesn't for every hero😂 only Balayya can do 😂 this is just from my perspective if you watch more as a little boy than less as a mature intellect person you actually enjoy it 😂but it should be done occasionally otherwise it is injurious to health 😂

People from Andhra just worship them as demigods and there is also a community angle which most people outside of Telugu society would never come to know. Sorry for my broken english. I'm a telugu guy. Balayya has been trolled for his movies and over the top scenes and some problematic scene or songs. The reason is because he believes that no one knows better than director. Once he's on set he do what director says. Sometimes he don't even listen to script because of the directors previous hits and the work they have done. People in Telugu states opposed the dabidi dibidi song steps and other vulgar steps. Only few B and C centre audience cheers for his steps. Balayya used to try different genre movies. He has done sci fi movie, fantasy movies etc etc. but most of his movies are mass movie.. as the time passes audience and directors catered him to mass and over the top movies. This is the reason for the trolls. Again I'm not supporting for the behaviour offscreen. He can say no to problematic steps and scenes..
Only incidents like Balayya beating others, few controversial statements goes viral but he owns a cancer hospital. Every normal citizen gets vip level treatment in his hospital.. he does many good things but only bad things are getting viral.
Audience have fixed their minds t to to over the top when it comes to Balayya. Problem with most telugu directors is that they're writing scripts and scenes for fan service more than the story which are rejected by audience.
I'm not a balayya fan.

bala krishna did few experimental movies like aditya 369, bhairva dhweepam. in 90's but he never tired to do out of his genre movie after blockbuster samara simha reddy ,narasimha naidu may be srimarajyam ,pandurangudu bit different. wr cant blame only writers & director for bad movies i.with his experience ane the stature he has can choose better scripts and try to do out of his comfort zone .now can understand hes doing same template movies bcoz of commercial success since pandemic but he didn't bother or reviewed his work even his movies becoming disaster one after one bwnn laxmi narasimha and simha

Balayya is like a cheat meal for us.
We know a cheat meal is not a healthy meal overall but it tastes too good once in a while especially during festivals. We keep aside calories, amounts of fats, protein etc etc and we whole heartedly enjoy the meal in whole some.
Balayya's movies are exactly like that for us. We don't care for story, logic, physics etc etc we watch it for what it is.

I've been checking every day for this review.....finally!!! Personally I also felt the pacing of the movie could've been better in the 2nd half....I felt the slowmo shots weighing down on the movie by the end and I completely lost my attention in the climax....but that aside....I'd take this version of Balayya than the 2000-10's balayya any day......Jai Balayya!!

Balayya , His legendary father ( Actor, politician ) his family , caste fraternity and there community have been embedded in Telugu culture DNA from1950's. There are evidences were people considering there family has kings, Feudalistic state in a democratic country .His father NTR Sr Garu has contributed a lot in preserving history, religion , Myth were cinema was a medium. he lived a larger than life and his films are flop but his community folks are always there to produce his next film. They feel it has pride & prestige feeling , medium of power. His obsession & hysteria will keep on continuing. Every time a balaya film is released his fans & fanatics keep on augment it though it being a box office disaster. Its an interesting PhD thesis topic for a social science scientist/student

Balayya doesn't hide any of his emotions Off camera or On camera and he is not gender biased. He pushes or slaps women or men with the equal strength and loves them as well, if he wants to.

I love Balayya. I have been watching his films since I was 7-8 years old probably. I am 37 now. Yet it feels so entertaining whenever I watch him deliver his lines. His careless attitude towards his critics and sticking to what he is is good at makes it even more enjoyable. He is a meme. But no one cares including us because we know we get what we want. Its funny sometimes, its stupid sometimes and its weird sometimes. But that man is just brilliant with his sense of comfort that it makes it more engaging to watch him do mass commercial entertainers. Anything nuanced I cant watch him. It might look even weird if he did it. I wish he never gives up what he is good at. His dialogues are literally goosebumps and he should not give that up for sure. Here fans don't care what critics like you want to see. If you want something new from him you should try directing, producing or writing for him and see if you can bring in the masses ir money he is bringing in. Else stop ranting about his craft. Movies are made for a target audience and you are not them. So to feel good stop watching his movies and ranting about things you know is bound to disappoint you.

As an audience and i watch all genre and all languages as much as I can but all the time putting the logic behind every scene making sense of it sometimes render me from enjoying it thoroughly. sometimes this vans flying in the air and absurd tacky dialogues might be illogical and unnecessary to the story lines but they make you engaged and laugh and put you in that zone, you enjoy with everyone else joining the cheers and trust it doesn't for every hero😂 only Balayya can do 😂 this is just from my perspective if you watch more as a little boy than less as a mature intellect person you actually enjoy it 😂but it should be done occasionally otherwise it is injurious to health 😂

Shame on AMC for publishing an exciting schedule for my holiday to watch Daaku Maharaj and then cancelling my ticket because of scheduling error. Kaun jaaye ab shaam 7 baje ka show dekhne , dhur (Bihari equivalent of dhat tere ki). Saving money for Wolf Man and interest for streaming version of Daaku Maharaj. This was a movie I was interested in because he looked fit, trailer design was stylish and colour contrasts were lovely ... but TODAY I saw the trade for the sequel to the first Tamil movie and also the first subtitled movie I watched in a theatre. JAILER.!! God I feel so giddy with excitement waiting for Jailer 2

It is just caste identity dude. He comes from powerful and influential family who is celebrated by their caste. He just happens to be son of celebrated NTR who had decent success in initial phase of his career and then started the cringefest. Except his hardcore fans who identify him with this caste, family or political party, in general no body dares to watch his movies in theatre. It is just that these type of movies are becoming popular as hindi/bhojpuri belt seem to be enjoying at this point but they will very soon get tired as we as telugu audience are so sick , tired and extremely bored of this cringe and repetitive stuff we have been watching since childhood
This is just to give a context of Telugu society & films and not to demean or pull down anyone. The fanbase for NTR family is majorly from the chaudhary community of Andhra. People from Andhra just worship them as demigods and there is also a community angle which most people outside of Telugu society would never come to know. So they are not fans but just a projection of a particular community as their own star.
