Barley Straw keeps the pond water clear and free from algae I make my own I like this one B07J5VM156 from your online retailer if I can not get it from the farm as well as for the pond I use it on the garden in winter by laying it on top of the soil and letting it bio de grade into the soil in summer I dig it in I also bag it into bin bags and put round my outdoor pond filter system in the winter and some also goes to next doors hamster and rabbit. In the spring you will see the birds taking it for nests for the price it has multi uses I use 1ltr of liquid into the pond every 2 weeks over the winter till the end of March.
