When you hear about millions in anime it tends to refer to yens where 1 million is around 8000 dollars. Just to give some context to the numbers. It is still a lot of money to bring the world players, just not as unrealistic as it seems.

to your comment towards the accents, it's a nice touch of realism that the only one with proper english, was the one from England, English is his primary language. The others are from countries that don't speak english primarily. These are footballers that learned some english to interact with the media at best.
Between last episode's Rin doing Yoga and colliding with Isagi, and this episode's English study, we have my 2 favorite Rin moments that happened even in the manga so far. The way he just breaks character from his usual edgy self is hilarious. On the survivors, Gagamaru, Raichi, and Niko making it this far was my hypest moment in the reveals.
In case you haven't noticed, the character Shidou (the blond guy with a tan) is voiced by Satoru Gojo's VA from Jujutsu Kaisen (the main character 's sensei who looks like Kakashi). @@Bolts17 at this point, the only way anyone can still claim the animation isnt bad is because it just doesnt exist, also having still frames is one thing but when they somehow manage to even fk up those, such as teleporting ballerina sae, which i think would count as a hype moment being ruined by bad animation (or lack thereof), rather contrary to your implied preference, i'd argue that scene in particular diminished the viewing experience significantly, don't think anyone can really defend the animation in that instance, therefore, i really cannot blame anyone for not enjoying it. furthermore, you claim to prefer hype moments having great animation, but the only 'great' animation, which ig in comparion having no animation, it does indeed look great (i even defended the animation, credit where its due after all, still wouldn't call it great myself, but i digress) was the nagi goal, which i think is arguably still worse than a lot of goals from s1 (animation wise of course, goal was great), every other goal in s2 were just stills and cgi, i can even challenge you to rewatch all the hype moments and try to see how many *different* drawn frames, not just the same frame simply enlarged or edited (although you can argue that they are technically different frames due to their size or otherwise), and without counting the haze/speedlines effects, you can find over cgi and vice versa. hopefully you can understand why people cant enjoy the show in its current state, its really not that they dont want to, but after s1 setting a bar so high, it's just frustrating for people to see what could have competed with the likes of kuroko no baske or haikyuu turn into pngs
