These video are super helpful. I planning in the future to adopt for the first time. I want to make sure I have the right tools to work on immediately. Thank you, and please keep the videos coming!
WOW !! YOU ANSWERED ALL THE QUESTIONS THAT I NEEDED HELP WITH !! IT'S 10PM AND I WANT TO TAKE MY GOLDEN RETRIEVER OUTSIDE AND PRATICE BUT HE'S SLEEPING AND IT IS 29° !! TY SOOOOOO MUCH!!😊😊😊
Another amazing video! I have had my dog for a year and a half (she is 2 years old now) and have done 2 training classes with her and nobody has explained this as clearly as you have in this video. I now know what I am doing wrong and what to do instead. Thanks again.
Thank you so much for this video! The most valuable bit for me was the part where you talk in the end about the daily routine. I feel everybody posts exercises which last 10min, but miss to mention how to incorporate it with your daily walks. We have been struggling with both our loose leash and heel walking outside and I have felt very confused about what and when should I use loose leash and heel walk and when to actually change the environment. So, again - thank you so much, you are brilliant! ❤
my 5mo puppy can do fine when I walk with her alone even in the park. But when we walk with my other dogs (with my husband). She would got sooooo excited and start chasing my other dogs for fun. Someone told me it's normal and she's just a puppy. But I feel like she is making my other dogs pull too (which they don't, usually) Any suggestion please? thank you!
I recommend individual training sessions to practice these skills before working them together. Training around your other dog is a big distraction for your puppy! Help them be successful by working them separate and slowly bringing them together.
If you have one dog trained to left-side heel, would you train the second independently to heel on the right so you could walk them together on opposite sides? Thanks!
You really are so awesome thanks for all the info I literally got the exact same dog color basically same white stripe his name is oreo and gosh he wild and need lots of training he urinates and bites stuff but I will make progress thank you and keep posting videos love your energy
Hello, new subsciber here. I came across your video quite by chance. Can i just say a big thank you, you explained everything so simply. I don't have a prong collar as I live in the uk, and they aren't really a thing here. My dog is a 3 year old German Shepherd who has never really pulled that much (except to greet other dogs) but he does like to walk in front. I will practise this at home, although do not have that much room inside the house, so might have to start in the garden. I will still need to get him to a park for a run. I use a head collar, which he doesn't really like to get there. Would you say this is ok for use in between the training sessions, he is used to having 2 long walks a day and think he might get a little stir crazy without them. Also, one last thing, i use a flexi lead at night when i know I won't usually bump into other dogs. Is this just making him worse, should I stop using it ? Sorry for such a long comment 😅 kindest regards, Joanne 🐺
Totally fine to have "free walks" and structured walks, just makes sure you are using commands to make it clear when its time to work and when its free time. I personally recommend switching those regular walks with training sessions as the mental stimulation from training really tires them out. However, do what works! If you are finding a good balance between the two than thats ok! Dog training is all about YOUR personal expectations and goals for your dog.
But what to do when your dog is free to sniff and then pulls. Heel is going great but sniff walks (on a long line) are a nightmare. She’s going crazy all over the place …

SO happy it helped!!!
I noticed when I do the structured walks it tires my dog out so much and me and my dog have a lot of fun.
They are using so much more brain power they tire out!
I needed this… Thank you! 😊
You are so welcome!
As a new “keeper” of a rescue 5 mo old puppy. These videos are super helpful! Keep up the awesome videos 🎉

Totally personal preference! I prefer both dogs on the left but some clients feel more comfortable with a dog on each side.

Don’t give up! It’s work but so worth it in the end! Stay tuned.
